Rival Kingdoms: Beginner’s Guide

Beginning of the game. You have traveled extensively in search of a hospitable land and have finally arrived at the Estara Plain, where General Alandra Aurelius awaits you. Here, beyond the forest and not far from the river bank, your wanderings end, and you begin to build your city. Ancient Sulrik has decided to side with you against your common enemy - the Destroyers.

The heart of your city is a fortress. Upgrade it as soon as possible to prevent your resources from being looted. Upgrading your fortress will give you access to new buildings and troops, as well as allow you to master new skills that the Titans have shared with you. Join the Kingdom and journey north to find Forville and unlock Titans to help you on your adventures against the Destroyers.

Building a city consumes a lot of resources. For this reason, you will need smelting furnaces and a place to store all the gold you get from raids and the smelter. Gold is stored in your gold vault.

Rival Kingdoms Walkthrough Campaigns

Campaign "In the footsteps of Forville"

The campaign is the story of the game, where its plot is revealed. It is a map with a fixed set of stages, on each of which you have to fight. At the end of the battle, you receive a reward in the form of gold and can proceed to the next stage. The goal of the "In the Footsteps of Forville" campaign is to complete all stages and defeat the ice dragon of Forville in the last stage. At the end of the campaign, you will receive Forville as an Ancient Dragon.

Campaign missions. The campaign becomes available immediately after completing the tutorial, after upgrading the Fortress to level 2. On the battle map, it is marked as "In the footsteps of Forvil. Frosty North". By clicking on this button, you will be taken to a subsection of the map showing all the battle stages below:

  1. Snowhawk’s Reach. Difficulty: easy. Plot: Search for Vorville, the Ancient Ice Dragon Titan, before the Destroyers do. This is the start of the quest. Reward: 300 gold.
  2. Peak of Chilling Fear. Difficulty: easy. The Destroyers turned another Fortress to their side. At this stage, you will learn how to use your basic defenses. Reward: 400 gold.
  3. Heart of Winter. Difficulty: easy. Another base fell under the onslaught of the Destroyers. They need to be stopped. This battle will be a little more difficult than the previous one. Before the start of the battle, it is recommended to practice the battle in the normal "Battle" mode. Reward: 500 gold.
  4. Frost barriers. Difficulty: medium. With the help of Burna, you will be able to break through the walls of this fortress. During this step, you will encounter Berna for the first time, who is also an Ice Titan and can be found in Titan and Relic Chests. Berna will join you in your search for Forville. Reward: 1000 gold.
  5. Endless White Surface. Difficulty: difficult. It is necessary to destroy another base of the Destroyers. Reward: 1150 gold.

  1. Snow Leopard Outpost. Difficulty: difficult. This place will be hard to win. Upgrade your Troop Portals to give you a chance. It is advisable that before proceeding to this stage, you increase the level of your fortress to the 4th. Reward: 1300 gold.
  2. Ice Bear Den. Difficulty: difficult. The last Destroyer stronghold must be destroyed before you reach Forville. The minimum fortress level required to successfully complete this quest is Lv. 4 with improved troops. Reward: 1450 gold.
  3. Forville’s nest. Difficulty: difficult. You need to free Forville from the clutches of the Destroyers. Once you defeat Forville, he will come to his senses and thank you for not letting him nearly destroy Berna. He will then join your Titans collection. It is recommended to use it as a perch dragon. Reward: 2000 gold.
Even though this is your first campaign, it is recommended that you do not start it until you have reached at least level 3 of the stronghold. Use bonus troops or request troop donations from Kingdom comrades to help keep the campaign running.

The Deceiver’s Trail Campaign

This campaign will become available after the completion of the "In the Footsteps of Forville" campaign. On the combat map, it is marked as "Track of the Deceiver. Dry Desert". By clicking on this button, you will be taken to a subsection of the map showing all the battle stages below:

  4. Red Steppes. Difficulty: impossible. The magic of Erasmus is very strong here. You will face a lot of resistance. Reward: 45,000 gold.
  5. Peace of the Flame. Difficulty: impossible. You are gradually catching up with Erasmus. Soon you will have to face his cunning. Reward: 50,000 gold.
  6. Fortress of Erasmus. Difficulty: impossible. You have finally reached Erasmus. But can you resist the cunning of the Ancient Deceiver? Reward: 75,000 gold.

Daily elemental campaigns

Starting Monday, every day a special elemental themed stage is introduced to the game as part of the daily campaign. Each day, 3 missions are issued with increasing difficulty. Each time you win a battle in a daily campaign, a star will be activated. On the third star, you get additional bonuses. To participate in the daily elemental campaign, you must:

Awards. For winning each daily elemental campaign, you will receive gold. If you repeat attempts to fight at the base, previous rewards are deducted from the total amount of rewards that can be received from each base. In these battles, players will not receive (or lose) honor. In the daily elemental campaign, you can get the following Titans:

Rival Kingdoms: Secrets of successful PvP fights

Honor system. Get honor points by defeating other players in battles. The number of honor points earned determines which bases you encounter on the world map. The longer the winning streak, the more honor you can get for each victory.

Selection of opponents. When you’re low on wins, the bases you match up with are usually very light and easy to take down. If you do not improve your portals or troops, then you come across fortresses with a minimum number of buildings / levels. These low-level bases have a minimum gold storage capacity and low-level smelters, so the loot obtained from them is also meager. Other factors influencing selection:

Tactics for a successful attack

For successful attacks on enemy bases, do the following.

1. Build a Dragon Nest. After obtaining Forvil in your first campaign, you will be able to build the Dragon’s Nest. This is the only offensive unit that you can control after being deployed in combat. Dragons can destroy a large number of buildings, shoot from cover outside buildings to clear a path, and also destroy a fortress from a safe distance.

2. Build more troop portals and upgrade them. Having additional units to deploy is a high priority as you control where they launch their attack from. When pumping portals, you increase the number of troops in them. This allows you to increase the size of your units, however note that increasing the size from 4 to 5 won’t do much good if you’re using Maulers or Paladins, which take up 2 spaces each.

3. Upgrade the ancient shrine and forge. Each Sanctuary Upgrade allows you to level up your Titans 5 more levels. Spells are the main factor for offense (and defense on spell towers), so make sure you upgrade your dragon at your perch and your best Titans you use during battle.

Upgrading the forge allows you to research troops to make them stronger. The main advantage of researching troops is that it does not require a builder. In doing so, you can increase their HP and damage by 10-20%. Set research priority for the troops you use the most.

4. Pump up the barracks. Pumping the barracks leads to the discovery of new types of troops. At the first levels, these are soldiers and guards. The Soldier is a very durable unit, taking 50% less physical damage, which is the majority of the defense you’ll come across in the lower levels of the game. The Guardian is a great support unit for a soldier. You can only get by with these two troop types until SH7.

Successful Defense Tactics

Below is the final build order for defenses that will help you most effectively protect your territory from attacks by other players.

1. Charge Primus. When overloaded, this defensive structure can increase the attack speed of up to 4 linked defenses by over 40%. Leveling up a building adds its HP, but also drastically increases the amount of gold to charge it. At the initial levels of the game, the Primus Charge can be left at level 1.

2. Catapult. Great for crowd control, especially at lower fortress levels when enemies have limited units at their disposal. The catapults’ long range makes them hard to reach, so make sure you surround them with other buildings.

3. Launcher for arrows. Also great for crowd control, even at a greater distance than a catapult. She has the added benefit of being able to reach the Guardians hiding behind the Soldiers.

4. Torch tower. This defensive structure is quite deadly thanks to powerful single-target attacks. Most enemies don’t realize that it is charged by the spells they cast, so they themselves cause the tower to ricochet on 3 targets at the same time.

5. Watchtower. This defense deals high damage to a single target. Will be very useful for reducing the number of enemies, one by one. Watchtowers are best for protecting your buildings from Dragon (roost) shots.

6. Tower of spells. These defenses are great for crowd control. Since they deal magical damage, they do well against squads of soldiers that take 50% less physical damage. Leveling them up adds more HP and reduces the cooldown. Spell Towers get most of their power from the Titans you have attached to them, so make sure you upgrade those Titans well enough.

Rival Kingdoms: Completing Quests

Quest groups. There are three groups of quests in the game:

To access the quests, open the game menu on the main screen of the game and click "Quests". Upon completion of the quest, a small reward is given.

Simple quests. During the training of beginners, the following quests are launched:

As you complete these quests, you will see two buttons in the quest menu: "Show" and "Get". Click on "Show" to see the next step required to complete the quest. When the quest is completed, the "Show" button will change to the "Get" button. Click on it to collect the quest reward and move it to the "Completed" tab.

In some quests, information about your progress (current status) is displayed under the name of the quest.

Quest rewards. Most quest rewards include gold, rings, and diamonds (premium currency). The amount of rewards is roughly proportional to the stronghold levels you are most likely to reach when the quest is completed.

The gold you get from quests goes straight into your storage, not your inventory, so make sure you can hold all of it before you get it!

Campaign quests. Campaign quests are combat stage quests. They represent a fixed set of bases (nodes) that you have to fight. Upon completion of the quest, a small gold reward is given and you move on to the next quest. The goal of the campaign is to go through all the bases and complete the entire chain of tasks. Upon completion of the campaign, you will be rewarded with Titans.

Campaign quests are accessed through the world map. Level up your troops and fortresses, as they are essential for the successful completion of these quests. It is highly recommended that you complete these quests, as there is no other way to get Titans as a reward.

Quests for time. Time quests, as the name suggests, require you to complete certain tasks within a given time frame. You must complete and receive these rewards before the timer expires. These quests change every week.

Daily quests. Daily quests, as the name suggests, require daily activities. After each successful login, a daily reward screensaver will start, offering you to receive rewards. Once received, there is a 22-hour cooldown (displayed as a timer) before you can claim the reward the next day. The list of daily rewards can also be accessed through the menu on the main screen.

You cannot reset or skip reward days. Each day, a login is required to advance to the next day’s reward.

Rival Kingdoms: Titans Guide

Who are the Titans? Titans are powerful creatures that can fight at your side, along with your army. Titans can be obtained at the end of campaigns, in events, in Relic and Arena chests, in an alchemist’s shop and in other ways.

Elements of the Titans. All Titans are divided by elements:

The rarity of the Titans. Titans are divided into 6 types of rarity, on which the limit of their pumping depends:

Rise of the Titans. Titans can be ascended beyond their base rarity with ascension materials. These materials can be obtained in various ways, such as participating in events, being in chests, in trials of the Titans, etc. More information about each Titan’s available ascension materials can be found on their in-game page.

Ascension Material Chests of Epic, Legendary, and Mythic rarity can be crafted at the Alchemy Workshop using Ascension Material Chest Tokens. Each chest contains 1 randomly selected ascension material that can be used to level up a Titan to the same maximum rarity as the chest’s rarity.

Titan upgrade. In order to level up your Titans, you will initially need to upgrade your Sanctuary to level 2. To increase the level of the Titans, use Primus (experience). To do this, go to the page of the desired Titan, select the "Improve" button and click on Primus (max. 5).

The leveling limit for Titans is determined by their rarity and Sanctuary level.

Rival Kingdoms: Trials of the Titans

Concept. Trials of the Titans are quests focused on using the Titans. For completing them, you get great rewards that greatly increase the combat capabilities of your Titans.

Types of tests of the Titans. The current Titans challenges include:

Rival Kingdoms: Kingdoms Guide

Concept. A Kingdom is a group of players united to help each other and compete with other Kingdoms in battles and ratings to obtain the necessary game resources.

Roles in the Kingdom. The Kingdom is ruled by the Lord and King. Only they can add/remove members, as well as assign the roles of the Kingdom (raider, champion, sentry, squire, commoner and outcast). Including all roles, there can be up to 50 members in a Kingdom.

The maximum number of participants is increased to 50 through donations. The Kingdom page has a building associated with each role. Donating to these buildings will unlock more locations for these roles, improve roles, and/or provide loot benefits.

Glory of the Kingdom. Kingdom Glory is a measure of the progress of any Kingdom, which can be earned by completing kingdom projects.

Accession to the Kingdom. The "Kingdom" feature is unlocked after you upgrade your stronghold to level 4. The quest "The Banner" will also start, offering you to join the Kingdom. There are two main ways to find a suitable Kingdom:

  1. With the search function;
  2. Select a Kingdom from the leaderboards.

Clicking on the name of the Kingdom will open the information page. Under the name, the status will be "Open" or "On Request". The Open Kingdom will allow anyone who clicks "Join" to become a member. If the status of the Kingdom is set to "On request", then clicking "Join" will submit a request to join for consideration.

Send a private message when applying to join the Kingdom. If you were referred by a friend, include this information in the message. Some Kingdoms have requirements for a minimum fortress level. Be sure to read them before applying.

Departure from the Kingdom. There are several ways to leave the Kingdom.

  1. Click "Exit" on the Kingdom information page, which can be accessed from the Kingdom menu;
  2. To be kicked out;
  3. Send a request to join another kingdom;
  4. If you are a king, you can reappoint a new king before leaving the Kingdom;
  5. If you are the last member of the Kingdom, a warning message will appear upon exit, reminding you that you will not be able to rejoin an empty Kingdom.
Some Kingdoms remove inactive players from their roster. If you leave the Kingdom during a raid, it will lose all the raid points you have contributed. You will also lose all rewards for winning the raid and the League of the Kingdom.

Kingdom roles. The Kingdom has roles that play a key role in its activities:

Donations to Kingdom projects are vital to open up more slots for the following roles: lord, guardian, squires, raiders, and commoners.

Kingdom honor leaderboard. You can access the Kingdom Honor Leaderboard by touching the trophy icon in the lower left corner of your city. Honor from the top 30 members of your Kingdom will contribute to scoring on the Kingdom Honor Leaderboard. Kingdom Honor is calculated using the following formula: (Top 1-10 players x 1) + (Top 11-30 players x 0.5). The leaderboard is not updated in real time.

How to make a donation to the Kingdom project? You can donate to the Kingdom project by clicking on the buildings in your Kingdom. After selecting a building, a pop-up window will appear with the following information:

Which buildings are especially important for the Kingdom? The following buildings are especially important for the growth of the Kingdom:

Rival Kingdoms: Realm Raiding

Joining a raid. The Kingdom Raid will begin at the scheduled time between the two rival Kingdoms. By the beginning of the raid, a button appears at the bottom of the main screen with the inscription: "Raid on the Kingdom." This button also displays a timer showing the duration of the raid. By clicking on the "Kingdom Raid" button, you will be taken to the "Kingdom League" screen, from where you can join the raid.

If you join the Kingdom during the raid, you will not be able to participate in the raid. You will also not be able to earn Loyalty Points for winning a Raid Day or a Gold/Ring reward at the end of the entire League.

Participation in the raid of the Kingdom. The objective of the Kingdom Raid is to score as many Raid Points as possible in 24 hours. You can get raid points by destroying an enemy stronghold on the raid map. An attack in a Kingdom raid does not use Warstones from your account. To start a battle, simply click on the base shown on the map. This will open a quick basic popup. Click the "Battle" button to go to battle.

The bases must be defeated in order, from base 1 to base 10.

Morality and fighting spirit. You will have 5 morals (lives) to try to defeat as many bases as possible. If you lose the battle, you will lose 1 morale point. Once you lose all 5 points, you will no longer be able to attack any bases on the day of the raid. Once you defeat the base, you will be able to move on to the next base.

The defeated base will be displayed in the raid line as "Defeated". Morale is also displayed as a colored bar within the raid. A green bar means that there are 4-5 points of morale left. Yellow means 2-3 and red means you only have 1 point of morale left.

Use the "View Replay" button to watch one of the previous successful attacks on the base before the battle. If you are the first to attack the base, use the "Reconnaissance" button to view the base map and plan your attack.

Raid points. Raid points are earned by destroying enemy bases on the Kingdom Raid map. In total, 10 rival bases need to be attacked (if there are less than 10 members in the Rival Kingdom). Bases bring the following amount of Loyalty Points and Raid Points:

BaseGlasses
one5
2ten
3fifteen
fourtwenty
525
6thirty
735
eight40
945
ten150

The last base on the raid map is worth a total of 150 points. When defeating the king, you will receive the maximum possible number of raid points (375 points). The kingdom with the most raid points at the end of the raid is the winner.

Completion of the Kingdom raid. Upon completion of the Kingdom Raid, the members of the winning team who were present throughout the raid will be rewarded with 500 Loyalty Points. Raid results will be displayed at the end of the raid.

Kingdom League. Leagues allow Kingdoms of the same strength and size to compete against each other in a series of raids. Team raids start after six Kingdoms of the same strength have been matched (with the exception of the melee league, which only requires 2 Kingdoms to start). The league lasts 5 days. Every day the Kingdom will face a different rival in a 24-hour raid.

The goal is to win as many of these raids as possible and get as many raid points as possible. In total there are 5 leagues of the Kingdom: melee (lowest), sword, arrow, ax and claymore (highest). At the end of a 5-day war, if the teams contain the same number of victories, the order of victories will be determined by the most points scored in 5 days.

Rival Kingdoms: Relic Wars Guide

Concept. Relic Wars give your Kingdom a chance to gain Relic Energy and showcase your strategic prowess by decorating the Kingdom’s base with Relics. Relics are of several types:

How to join the event? This event is available for Kingdoms with more than 35 members. To participate, go to the relic menu using the relic button in the main menu or the relic button in your Kingdom. Choose from fifteen different relics to collect. Ask your king/queen or lord/lady to register your Kingdom to collect the relic.

Kingdom members place bets against other Kingdoms for a chance to fight for the relic. 6 leading trades of the Kingdoms take part in the war. Become one of the top 6 Rally Kingdoms and compete in the Relic League.

Requirements for participation in the League of Relics. Kings/Queens/Lords can register you in the Relic League if your Kingdom has the minimum amount of Fame required to do so:

How to play? In Relic Wars, each Titan can only be used once per battle, regardless of whether you win or lose. Use your Titans wisely and earn points in the Relic League by defeating members of the enemy Kingdom!

Prizes. Kingdom members will be able to place the relic in their base to celebrate their victory. Successfully holding a relic will consistently increase your relic streak, which is displayed prominently in the relic menu.

Rival Kingdoms: Conclusion

In Rival Kingdoms, you can build your own city, form an army based on strategic requirements, take part in the territorial battles of your Kingdom, collect fearsome Titans and become famous as a wise commander. The game combines beautiful art, an interesting plot, many permanent and temporary activities, as well as the ability to participate in PvP battles on the world map.

Of the minuses, one can note the fact that Rival Kingdoms takes a lot of free time and requires its players to actively participate in all events for successful development. At the later levels of the game, many are faced with a lack of game resources for pumping and expensive donations. Also, the game is sensitive to the Internet connection and may crash during short-term network outages.
