Top Drives: Beginner’s Guide

What is this game? In this game, you can create your own unique collection of cars and use it in a huge number of game activities. The game features more than 1900 vehicles from the world’s real world’s largest manufacturers, including the latest models, cars of the past, urban transport and heavy trucks. So you can collect whatever you want. The game developers have partnered with renowned automotive magazine Evo to provide their players with reliable car data, photos and even road tests. Their goal is to combine the game and a unique interactive experience for car enthusiasts.

How to get a lot of gold? Gold in the game allows you to purchase card sets, service vehicles and new slots in the Garage. You can purchase more gold from the in-game store or win it by accumulating stars in races. You can also get gold on the prize board.

Get free gold for watching commercials in the game. To do this, click the "Free Gold" button in the main menu, open the commercial and watch it to the end. Watching subsequent commercials will result in more gold.

How to get money in the game? In-game money allows you to purchase card packs and upgrade cards. You can earn money the same way you earn gold: by winning races, earning stars and picking them from the prize boards. You can also earn cash by selling unwanted cards. To do this, go to the garage, select a card for sale and click the "Sell" button. Remember that sold cards disappear forever, so choose wisely what you want to sell. Additional cash is also always available in the in-game store.

Free gifts from the game. When you launch the game, you get one free pack. You also get some free packs when you reach certain RQ levels. Sometimes developers hold promotions and also give out free packages. They can be obtained in the main menu of the game in the "Buy cars" section.

Played by Facebook Cloud Gaming. Facebook Cloud Gaming is a gaming platform where you can play Top Drives. Facebook Cloud games are hosted on Facebook, which means they can be played without the need to download. You can access Top Drives in Facebook Cloud Gaming through the Facebook app on Android or Windows phones (Android 7 or higher) or any compatible browser on your mobile phone or PC, Android or iOS, Windows or Mac. You will also need a reliable internet connection.

Save progress in Facebook Cloud Gaming. Your game progress on Facebook Cloud Gaming is linked to the Facebook account you use to access the game. Logging into the game on Android or iOS with the same Facebook account will upload your progress on other platforms. This means that there is full compatibility between Android, iOS and Facebook Cloud Gaming, as long as the same Facebook account is used to access all.

Make sure you’re signed in with the correct Facebook account to access Facebook Cloud Gaming and sync your current game progress.

Can I reset the game? Resetting the game and starting over is not possible, however, if you made some mistakes at the beginning of the game, here are some tips to help you get back to successful starts:

Top Drives: Car upgrade guide

How to improve the car? Each leveling type has 9 possible upgrades in 3 stages. In total, your car can have 24 upgrades, of which 27 are available. To improve your car, select it in the garage and click "Improve". There are 3 types of upgrade: engine, weight, chassis. After the first three upgrades for each type (stage 1) you need to select three vehicles that you do not use in order to "merge" them with the target vehicle and proceed to upgrade stage 2. The same for stage 3.

It is possible to have two identical cars with different maximum attributes. For example, you can specialize in an engine with stage 3 max for top speed, and in another car, specialize in a chassis for clutch.

Early termination of pumping. To reduce the time of upgrading car components, pay gold. At the same time, the cost of acceleration for cars of higher rarity will always be higher than for cars of lower rarity. The same goes for upgrading components to a higher version (i.e. skipping time to upgrade a component to version 3.0 costs more than skipping time to upgrade a component to version 2.0).

After 25% of the boost period, the cost of gold for skipping its duration will begin to decrease. Rounding up to the nearest 10 gold, the price is reduced by a proportion of the elapsed time - so, for example, after 70% of the fusion period, you will only pay 30% of the original "skip" of the remaining duration. This option can be very useful when you need a specific upgraded machine in a limited time situation.

Is it possible to change the improvements applied to the car? Changes in this case should be understood as a change in the status of the final improvement of the machine, the removal of individual improvements or resetting the machine to its original state ("serial"). Re-tuning cars in order to optimize the garage, check different statuses of an improvement, or fix previously made mistakes for a more comfortable game is not considered a good reason why it is possible to change the applied improvements.

This is only possible in a situation where you have reached the limit of all three major upgrade statuses and distributed minor upgrades among them. For example, you upgraded the engine to 3.1, the weight to 3.3, and the chassis to 3.2. In such a case, Support may, at its discretion, make an exception by combining these minor enhancements to upgrade one of the three major enhancement statuses to the final one (332, 323, or 233). Support requests for other enhancement-related reasons will not be honored.

Under special circumstances - namely, when a fresh update of Top Drives is released with adjustments to the characteristics of a large number of cars - a special policy regarding changes to improvements may apply instead of the one described above.

Merging machines. After you have reached the maximum level of improvement of your car, you have the opportunity to go to stage 2 of pumping, and then to stage 3 by performing the merging procedure. For this purpose, you need 3 unused machines - consumables. At the same time, their rarity must either match the rarity of the target car, or be no more than one rarity less. For example, if you have a rare car, you can merge it with other rare cars, as well as with uncommon cars. The rarity of vehicles can be determined by the color of their cards:

How to block important cars from accidentally merging? Block important cars from accidental merging in order to avoid their irretrievable loss. Locked vehicles will not be displayed in the fusion menu, so you simply won’t be able to select them as consumables by mistake. To lock a car, select it in the garage and press the lock button.

Top Drives: Car sorting and garage storage

Using filters. The game provides 3 filters for classifying cars: "Unique", "Duplicates" and "Not belonging". They help make decisions about which cars to keep in reserve and which to explore in a garage for sale or merger. Filters also give you the ability to control the collectible aspect of the game.

Car wishlist. This feature allows you to keep track of the cars you would like to add to your collection. Such "cherished" cars can be found in the opposing team or when browsing the full car library in the game. Just click on the "Wishlist" button to add this car to your personal wishlist. Pressing the same button again will remove the car from your wish list. If in the future you manage to get one of these cars, the game will notify you about it. The vehicle will be removed from your wishlist if you choose to add it to your garage.

Car storage. All cars are stored in the garage. At the same time, the garage can only accommodate the number of cars that corresponds to the number of places available in it. We can say that these limits determine the actual "free space" in your garage.

I received the car, but there is no free space in my garage. What to do? Vehicles won or purchased for which there is no free space in the garage are subject to a "hold" for a period of 24 hours. During this time you can:

If you do not do any of the above within 24 hours, your "held" vehicles will be deleted and you will not be able to restore them. However, before this happens, you will receive a notification from the game.

What does the tag "Sleep" mean? Sleeper (American English) or Q-car (British English) is a high performance car with an unassuming appearance. Sleeping cars are so named because their appearance is similar or identical to a standard or economy car.

Top Drives: How to get new cars?

How to get more cars? You can get new cars by winning their Campaigns or Events. You can also buy cars in the New Cars section of the main menu. Here you will find a huge variety of options available for play money or gold.

Which sets have a new type of drop chance? The new drop rate screen is part of a set of features aimed at improving the experience of buying packs in Top Drives. The new sets will provide much more flexibility in design and will contain much more easily accessible information about which cards can drop from them.

Click on the image of one of these packs in the store or panel in an event or challenge. You will be taken to a screen that will show the rarities and tags that are guaranteed to be included in the set. Click on the arrow on the right to see detailed probabilities and guaranteed tags for each individual card.

Rates in packages of cars from the 80s and cars from the 90s. These packages contain 5 cars. At least one of them will be rare. The highest possible bid is one epic car and 4 rares. Filter and chance filter show the probability of getting a car of a certain class.

Rates in the Premium package of cars of the 80s. The 80s Premium Car Pack contains 5 cars, at least one of which will be very rare. The highest possible bid is two legendary cars, one very rare and 2 rare.

Rates in the Premium Convertible Car Package. The premium convertible package contains 5 cars, at least one of which will be very rare. The highest possible bid is two legendary cars, 1 very rare and 2 rare.

What are the chances of dropping manufacturer’s premium packs? The odds are shown in the screenshot above. The filter and filter chance show how likely it is that you will get a car of a certain class.

Rates in a convertible car package. The convertible package contains 5 cars, at least one of which will be rare. The highest possible bid is one epic car and 4 rares.

Rates in the Premium off-road car package. The Premium Off-Road Pack contains 5 vehicles, at least one of which will be very rare. The highest possible bid is two legendary cars, one very rare and 2 rare.

Rates in the off-road car package. The off-road package contains 5 cars, at least one of which will be rare. The highest possible bid is one legendary car and 4 rares.

Rates in the 90s Car Pack. The 90s Car Pack contains 5 cars, at least one of which will be rare. The highest possible bid is one epic car and 4 rares.

Top Drives: All about racing quota (RQ)

Concept. RQ is your racing quota. To take part in a series of races, you must have a quota that is within the indicated requirements. Get more RQ by winning races and gaining experience to level up. The racing quota determines the level of cars that you can race with. If you look at the map in the lower left corner, you will see the RQ number. You can have 5 cars in a race up to your max RQ level.

RQ ranges. Previously, the RQ of cars ranged from 3-30, now it ranges from 10-100. Most cars follow these typical RQ ranges:

As the RQ values ??for cards increase, the RQ of the players and event caps will also increase. You don’t have to do anything other than update the game as all this data is transferred automatically. New players now start with 100 RQ, players with 150 RQ already have 500 RQ.

Current RQ requirements. RQ is now awarded in batches, 5 RQ each time you level up. Game modes will now be available on the following RQ levels:

Why did my cars change in RQ/Rarities? To determine the relative strength of each car, they must all race against each other and the results recorded. When new cars appear in the game, all this data is recalculated. As a result, the necessary changes are made to the RQ and the rarity of cars. Thus, the strength of each machine in relation to other machines is preserved.

Top Drives: Racing

How to speed up the race? If you wish, you can skip the race entirely and go directly to the results screen, but in this case you will skip all the tests. You can also tap the screen during a race to jump to the end of the race and just see the finish line.

Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to speed up the race up to 16x normal speed (including after tapping to go straight to the finish line).

What is average acceleration? Mid-range acceleration is 60-100 mph. Some vehicles may have higher performance. The average acceleration of a car is affected by its power and torque. If at medium distances your acceleration loses and does not meet the necessary requirements, try to pick up a car with higher characteristics.

How is the Test Bowl going? Both cars are accelerating to top speed, however when one of them crosses the line, the other is still accelerating, which means that the difference in gain becomes smaller, so the numerical value decreases. The winner is determined by the maximum delta speed.

Who are street racers? Street racers are cars labeled this way. Use the event filter at the top of the car selection screen to filter out all cars with Street Racer tags.

What does the icon next to the weather mean before a match? This icon indicates that the test is a rolling start, meaning the cars will cross the start line at speed.

What do the stars give? You get stars by beating your opponents in races. The bigger your score, the more stars you win. Thresholds vary by track. View all thresholds on the results screen after the race. Win more stars to get more prizes. Stars also count towards unlocking countries in the campaign. You get 3 stars in each race, 10 races and 30 stars in each country, 15 countries and a total of 450 stars (350 to unlock each country).

What prizes are available on the prize board? Each prize board can give you money, gold, experience, and most importantly, new cars. Check which cars are currently available for you on the prize board. This information is listed at the bottom of the screen. Here you can also see data on the rarity of cars, which is indicated by a certain color.

How does the clock work to receive updates? The upgrade clock appears after you have collected it from any prize board or, if you have lost, after the race loss screen. Notification pops up every 3 races, then has a 30 minute cooldown, max 10 per day. The maximum cost of a free upgrade is $1,000 and the maximum upgrade stage available is 2.3.

Car service. Participation in a race consumes 1 race point. To restore racing glasses, the car needs to be serviced. Initially, you have 10 race points in stock, which you can restore either one at a time (for this purpose you will have to wait a while after each race) or all together when you have used up all 10 race points of your car (the procedure will be much longer, because the recovery of each point lasts a certain time).

Example: A car completed a race and spent 1 race point. To restore it, a 4-minute maintenance timer is started (displayed on the car card in the garage). After these 4 minutes have elapsed, the car will again have a maximum of 10 race points. If, after spending a race point, the car is not serviced and races 9 more times, all its race points will expire. Then you will either have to wait at least 4 minutes and recover at least one point to start the race again, or wait a longer period to recover all 10 race points.

To complete maintenance early and replenish race points, pay gold.

Terms of maintenance. Maintenance time depends on the rarity of the vehicle. The table below shows the time needed to recover 1 race point. To find out how long it will take to recover 10 racing points, multiply the data given by 10.

Top Drives: Championships

Concept. Championships is a new single player game mode. Any of them is 70 new levels, valuable intermediate prizes and a cool main prize at the end. The championship consists of 6 competitions and "Road to Glory". Competitions can be played in any order, depending on what cars you have in your garage.

The levels of each individual competition must be completed sequentially: access to each subsequent level is opened after receiving 3 stars on the previous one. After earning 3 stars on all 60 qualifying levels, you can try your hand at the "Road to Glory" - this is another 10 levels of increased difficulty, which require more glory to play.

The terms of participation. Championships are located in the single player menu. To access them, you need to earn 100 Fame.

How to earn fame? As a prize for 48 and 72 hour events, you will now receive a new currency - fame. Glory is consumed when passing championships. To participate in each race, a certain amount of it is required. It is important to keep in mind that you cannot have more than 1000 units of fame. Your current fame is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen next to other currencies.

Top Drives: Challenge Guide

What is a test mode? At the same time, Top Drives runs several time trials grouped into categories and can be accessed from the panel in the main menu. Each challenge consists of a series of rounds. By winning a 3-star round, you will receive rewards and be able to move on to the next one. View the list of challenges to see the conditions of participation and prizes.

The terms of participation. Challenges and their specific rounds may require not only a set of cars that meet the specified criteria, but also the presence of certain items needed for admission or play. Such items can be won in other challenges or events. A certain number of attempts are allotted daily for passing each test, the stock of which is updated at 13:00 Moscow time. An attempt is spent only after passing the round for 3 stars.

Awards. As a reward for completing certain events or challenges, you can get items that open access to certain challenges or their rounds. Admission to a series of trials or rounds of trials requires specific items - you just need to have them with you. There are also items that are consumed when starting a challenge or challenge round.

Veteran Trials

Veteran Trials - a series of complex real-time events. Each month, you’ll face a challenging solo PvE challenge with a specific set of requirements and rewards: Veteran’s Tokens, Arcades, Packs, and more. Veteran Tokens are traded on Veteran Prize Exchanges. Depending on the value of the prize, it will cost a certain number of tokens.

Over time, the range of goods on the exchange is updated. In this way, you can accumulate your tokens and decide when it is most profitable for you to spend them. Be sure to keep an eye on the requirements panel and challenge rewards. This way you will know how many tokens you need to save in order to take part in the race and exchange them for the right prizes.

It is important to remember that Veteran Tokens are spent when you exchange them for a prize. For example, if you have 6 tokens and you exchange them for a reward worth 6 tokens, you will return to 0 tokens. If you’re saving up for a 9 token reward, don’t spend it early!

Veteran Challenges consist of 9 rounds. The Veteran Token is awarded on Round 6, Round 3 grants 2 slots, and Round 9 grants a Carbon Fiber Pack. Tokens will be exchanged every time a Veteran Challenge is held, and within two days after it ends. You will have to think carefully about what rewards you want to redeem your Veteran Tokens for. So, to get more powerful cars, you will need to accumulate tokens for more than a month.

Veteran Challenges are only available to players with RQ 460 and above. "Moby Dick" is always an available prize in this activity. The other prizes will be the legendary level prize and the epic level prize. If the Legendary tier trophy is a trophy car that you have obtained in the past, then you will receive an alternate version of that trophy.

Be sure to check the challenge requirements panel for the reward redemption value of each trade. Typically, each epic tier prize will cost 6 tokens, while each legendary tier prize will cost 9 tokens. At the same time, the legendary level prize will change to a new one every 9 months, and the epic level prize - every 6 months.

Top Drives: Participation in club events

Concept. Club Events is a new game mode that includes team play. To access club events, you need to earn a minimum of 250 RQ. Attention! In the future, the requirements for participation in this activity may be changed, which will be notified to all users.

Clubs. You can choose one of 3 clubs to participate: Full Throttle, Midnight and Legacy. Make your choice very carefully, because. you won’t be able to change it later. From time to time, clubs may choose not to accept new members in order to balance the strength of each faction. The goal of the club is to conquer the largest territory by the end of each week of the event. The more you play, the more your club rank increases.

Club experience. Earn club experience to increase your ranking after each club event you participate in. Club experience has a daily limit. After reaching it, you will not be able to replenish the experience of the club during the remaining game day.

club seasons. One club season lasts 7 days. During the season, the club must take control of various territories. The territories themselves are marked on the general map and divided into colored sectors. The task of any club is to "capture" as many of these sectors as possible. At the end of the season, the club with the most sectors captured wins. If, at the end of the season, two clubs with the same number of captured sectors are identified, the one that can score the most points will win.

The calculation of club season results covers the entire server. At the end of the season, each club receives rewards, the size of which depends on the club’s position in the rankings. The duration and countdown to the end of the next club season is indicated in the upper left corner of the club card. Make sure you take part in the event to earn a lot of gold and other rewards.

What do we have to do? The club event will start (and the event timer will start running) as soon as the player starts the race. To take control of an enemy club’s sector, you need to win the sector’s event. To capture a sector, you and your club will need to lower the enemy sector’s defense control score to zero. Win matches to create a big leaderboard gap between your club and the enemy club.

As soon as your club’s score reaches a certain required value on the leaderboard, the opponent’s control score will begin to gradually decrease. If your club wins by having a larger gap in the leaderboard, the opponent’s control score will decrease faster. Reduce the enemy score to zero until the club event timer expires.

How to protect the sectors of your club? There are two ways to protect your club’s sectors:

Reward multiplier at the end of the event. After the event ends, you will be shown the End of Event screen. This screen will house the reward multiplication system, which can be purchased with gold. The reward multiplier effect will last for 7 days in real time. The gold used will be deducted from your account after purchasing the reward multiplier.

The reward multiplier effect will affect future events you participate in, not the ones you just played.

Awards. For participating in a club event, you get currency and club experience. All awards are calculated according to 4 criteria:

Club ranking system. The rank of your club at the end of the club event will affect the amount of rewards you receive. The higher the club rank, the higher your cash reward will be. Club ranks are divided into the following levels:

Icons on the map - what do they mean? The following designations are available:

Information about the end of the event. Information about the completed event can be found on the left side of the screen by pressing the "i" button. By clicking, you will be able to access additional information.

Animations on the map - what do they mean? There are 7 different animation states for a sector:

Top Drives: Multiplayer Events

How to unlock multiplayer mode? This mode will be locked until you reach level 45 RQ. Earn RQ by playing campaign matches and winning XP cards from the prize pool at the end of the match.

The principle of the game. The multiplayer game consists of a series of time-limited events in which you race against other players from all over the world. As you compete, you earn points and move up the leaderboard. The higher the ranking you reach, the bigger prize you will get. Some prizes are exclusive to multiplayer. Most events have specific entry criteria and require specific cards to play.

Awards. Many fantastic prizes can be won in multiplayer events. For example, here you can get cars that you won’t find in the campaign mode, which is very valuable for collectors. Other rewards include: Cash, Gold, XP, RQ, Garage Slots, Card Packs, and Single Cards.

When an event ends, it will turn gray on the event screen. After that, the distribution of prizes will begin on the server, which will take some time (the duration depends on the number of players participating in the event who need to be awarded prizes). As soon as the preparation is over, you will immediately go to the event screen and can claim your prizes.

"Ghosts" players and scoring offline. You compete against the "ghosts" of your opponents when they are offline. These "ghosts" are a record of their participation in the race using the cars they used and in what order. When you are offline, other players will compete with your "ghost" in the same way, reflecting your performance in the last match. That is why it is very important that your last match before leaving the network is with the best cars.

These races affect your score, so you can score and lose points offline just as you would if you were racing online. This can be especially exciting at the end of the event when many players are trying their best to play as many races as possible with their best cars in order to get the best prize.

Trophy score and event score. Your trophy score is displayed at the top of the screen and has a trophy icon. This is your total multiplayer score and may increase or decrease depending on your performance in the event. When an event ends, your trophy score will be updated to reflect the total points earned or lost in that event.

The event score is the number of points earned in the event itself. It affects who you meet in the event. The event score also determines your ranking in the event and can be viewed at any time on the leaderboard. When determining how many points you get for defeating other opponents, both trophy points and event points are taken into account. For example, if your score is significantly higher than your opponent, then you will probably earn fewer points because your opponent will probably have a worse deck and be easier to beat.

Can I team up with other players during the event? Player collusion during a multiplayer event can disrupt the competitive spirit of the game. That is why the creation of any associations of players is not allowed.

However, if you select your Facebook Gaming profile, you will appear in Top Drives with the name and avatar from the player details from your Facebook Gaming profile.

What happens if I switch from a Facebook profile to a Facebook Gaming profile? After switching from your Facebook profile to your Facebook game profile or vice versa, you will see your in-game avatar update the next time you open the Top Drives app. However, your new display name will only appear on the event and club event leaderboards after this point.
