Dead Trigger 2: Guide to characters, the value of improvements
Ulrich (scientist). Scientist is a character on which all your game progress depends. He was a scientist before the Apocalypse, although no one knows what science he studied. The scientist managed to hide inside the refrigerator, where Alice later sent the Hero in search of him. As expected, he was rescued and took up residence in a hideout, where he continued to study various technologies. He later leaves the US Asylum and moves to the African Asylum. The higher the level of the scientist, the higher the levels of all survivors can be. Also, with an increase in the level of a scientist, income from tasks increases and new blueprints are opened.

Alice (medic). Alice was a doctor or nurse before the outbreak. When the Hero wandered down the alley, Alice was in a safe place at home. They met, and she offered to fix the neighbor’s barricade. When the Hero finished, Alice lifted the grate and let him inside. Later, Alice led the Hero to another grate, asking him to distract the zombies while she got to her car. It took her a while to get to the car, but then she changed her mind.
Alice said, "You have 2 minutes to get to me or I’ll leave." The hero had time and Alice let him into her car. Alice took the Hero to the Vault, to the base. She gave him some money so he could get Pain Relief. Alice can be upgraded to produce better pain relievers and to increase the number of production slots.

Joel (engineer). Joel is a jack-of-all-trades engineer who molds rockets and other weapons to chickens to teach them how to fight. Joel used to be an excellent mechanic and repair cars. Once infected, he uses his engineering skills to create insane items for the Hero, which can be used to clear the path of zombies. He’s the inventor of chickens for various military directions, and not only the military. In the future, if all the zombies are destroyed, Joel plans to launch the first chicken into space, for him this is not a problem because he has already invented the rocket chicken. Creates:
- Frag grenades;
- Mines;
- Explosive Chickens;
- Rocket Chicken;
- Chickens with cartridges;
- Guard hens;
- Automatic turrets.
Riker (smuggler). Riker is a smuggler who sells illegal "boosters" that speed you up, increase your income, double your damage or give you extra life. Riker was a smuggler before the infection. It is not known what kind of smuggling he was involved in. Most likely these were some drugs in connection with which he sells accelerators. The smuggler can be upgraded to lower prices (get discounts) for smuggled goods.
Dead Trigger 2: Zombie Guide, Secrets of Victories
Appearance. All zombies are undead civilians. Everyone has scratches and blemishes on their eyes, scars, bruises and bloody blisters all over their bodies. Zombies can be distinguished by the clothes they wear: sometimes they are just civilian clothes, and sometimes they are clothes associated with a profession (for example, policemen or construction workers). The color of a zombie’s eyes shows how dangerous they are.
Capabilities. All zombies have the unique ability to crawl through places inaccessible to the player. For example, they can crawl through barricades, vents, holes in the wall, under fences and gates, and even fall from high platforms. Some zombies can move faster than others, and zombie cops can spit blood and damage the player. If their legs are torn off, they will crawl with their hands. If both arms are severed, they can attack with their head. Zombie Hulk and Special Zombies are the only zombies that can withstand multiple hits from any weapon, even the most powerful (Lupara, Anfield, etc.), requiring more bullets to destroy.
Normal zombies will spawn with metal pipes after reaching a certain level. Higher ranks mean they will spawn more often with pipes. Special zombies do not appear with any weapon. The most powerful zombie that can appear in Dead Trigger 2 is a running zombie with a metal pipe. In Resistance Headquarters Broadcast 52, it is revealed that zombie corpses can regenerate even if they are blown to pieces, if not completely burned up. In turn, there are humans who are responsible for burning the remains of all dead zombies in order to prevent their regeneration. They are called "body burners".
Weak sides. All zombies have more than one weakness. They are all vulnerable to bullets from any weapon and can withstand just one shot from a shotgun. Special items such as grenades or a blade cutter can be used to slow or weaken them. Barrels can also kill or maim zombies.
Zombie man. The zombie man wears two tops: a jacket or a green hooded vest. He, like all other zombies, has blisters all over his body. There is a noticeable scratch on his face, possibly the site of a bite / scratch or infection that turned him into a zombie. Zombie men are easy to defeat one on one, but in large numbers they are quite strong.
A male zombie has all the abilities that ordinary zombies have, i.e. the ability to crawl, jump and attack the player. He can stalk and appear with a metal pipe. The metal pipe deals more damage and has a longer range. Male zombies, like all zombies, are more vulnerable to a headshot. This zombie appears in the USA, China, Europe, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the Arena.
Zombie woman. The zombie woman wears a gray jacket, pink shirt and gray skirt, as well as pumps. From the back you can see that she has a ponytail. Zombie woman has all the traits of other zombies. She can crawl, jump and attack the player. Can attack with a metal pipe. Metal pipes do more damage and have a longer range. The female zombie, like all other zombies, is more vulnerable to a headshot. This zombie appears in the USA, China, Europe, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the Arena.
Zombie nurse. The zombie nurse wears a blue dress and black pumps. Shares all the traits of other zombies. She can crawl, jump and attack the player. May also appear with a metal pipe. Metal pipes do more damage and have a longer range. The Nurse Zombie, like all other zombies, is more vulnerable to a headshot. This zombie appears in Africa, Europe, China, USA, Russia, Greenland, South America, the Middle East, Siberia, Australia and the Arena.
Zombie worker. The zombie worker wears a blue work suit, black shoes, and a hard hat. Has all the abilities that ordinary zombies have (the ability to crawl, jump and attack the player). Can run and appear with a metal pipe. The metal pipe deals more damage and has a longer range. This zombie, like all zombies, is more vulnerable to a headshot. Also note that this zombie wears a helmet, which does not affect its damage (helmet is a cosmetic item). Appears in the USA, China, Europe, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the Arena.
Fat zombie. The Fat Zombie wears a dark blue shirt with little white stars, gray jeans with a black belt, and brown shoes. He has a large body. The fat zombie has all the abilities that regular zombies have: the ability to crawl, jump and attack the player. He can run while carrying metal pipes. Metal pipes do more damage and have a longer range. Victory strategy:
- Shoot him in the head to do the most damage;
- Use pistols and suitable melee weapons to incapacitate his limbs, without which it will be easier to destroy;
- Destroy his arms so they can’t attack.
- Destroy his legs to make the zombie crawl (when he crawls, his movement speed slows down and he cannot crawl over the barricades, which makes him easier to defeat);
- Take advantage of explosives (red barrels, frag grenades, triple mine, etc.);
- Take advantage of the environment (holes from anti-aircraft guns on the Airplane map, etc.);
- Take advantage of other special zombies.
Smoking zombie. Dressed in a tuxedo. There is a lot of blood on the chest. Zombie abilities are standard - they can crawl under gates, tunnels, cracks in walls and barricades. He can also run towards the player and can appear with a metal pipe. The metal pipe deals more damage and has a longer range. Like all undead, he can be quickly killed by shooting him in the head. This zombie appears in the USA, Europe, China, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the Arena.
Dead Trigger 2: How to Fight Special Zombies?
Kamikaze
Kamikaze has no hair, and the infection has completely destroyed his body. He is morbidly obese, and his head remains the same size. Kamikaze’s muscle mass is believed to have decreased dramatically. Explosive barrels are tied to his body. It is not known how he was smart enough to do this. Kamikaze is believed to be based on the kamikaze pilots at the Battle of Iwo Jima, as they fired bombs on planes, killing themselves and many others. This is why it explodes when in close proximity to the player.
Kamikaze moves very slowly, but can crawl under gates, tunnels, cracks in walls and barricades. When he approaches Kyle and the player, he shatters his barrel and explodes, dealing heavy damage to nearby zombies as well as Kyle and the player. It also explodes when killed, but this explosion does much less damage. Like most special zombies, Kamikaze is almost guaranteed to injure Kyle and the player if cornered.
It is impossible to bypass Kamikaze in a narrow corridor without being injured by its explosion. If Kamikaze appears nearby, he will explode and either instantly wound Kyle and the player, or do no damage and drop the loot. Like all undead, he can be quickly killed by shooting him in the head. Strategy:
- Aim at its barrel to destroy it faster;
- The easiest, but also the most risky way is to run up to one of the Kamikaze and use a pain reliever when he is about to stab himself. Painkillers will freeze time so that a person can escape from the Kamikaze blast and kill him without using a single bullet. If this fails, Kyle and the player will suffer a lot of damage.
- Move and go out into an open area. Being cornered by a kamikaze is almost certain death.
- Kill the surrounding zombies to distract yourself and focus on killing the Kamikaze.
- While Kamikaze is climbing over the barricades, attack with weapons from close range. At this time, Kamikaze will not explode. However, after his climbing animation ends, he will immediately explode.
Scientist
The scientist wears protective suits. The mask area on his outer suit is broken, presumably which is why he contracted the infection. Oddly enough, the luminous parts of the eyes do not match the host’s original eyes. Zombie Scientists move slowly but constantly emit radiation that does great damage at close range. The closer Kyle and his team are to them, the faster they will lose health. Getting close enough to touch a zombie scientist will almost certainly die.
Be very careful not to be cornered by one of the Scientists, otherwise you will lose most of your health. Like all undead, the Scientist can be killed faster by shooting them in the head. Explosives can also seriously injure him. The Scientist is very vulnerable to melee weapons and Explosive Chicken - they can deal twice the normal damage compared to other weapons. Meanwhile, using melee weapons on Scientist is discouraged due to the risk of radiation damage. Use it only if it is the team’s last resort.
Vomitron
Vomitrons move slowly, but can crawl under gates, tunnels, cracks in walls, and barricades. As special zombies, they are much more powerful than normal zombies. They use a ranged attack capable of spitting sour vomit at Kyle and the player, which will deal damage, slow them down, shake the player’s screen and coat it with goo. Following recent arena updates, if a player is spit on, their screen will shake and any ranged weapons used will lose accuracy for 3 seconds (spitting will still damage Kyle and the player).
Womiron’s spit can kill other zombies, which Kyle and the player can use to their advantage. Like all undead, Vomitrons can be killed faster by shooting them in the head. Explosives can take off almost all of their health. It is possible that the Vomitrons are the weakest among the six special zombies. They are vulnerable to weapons that hit them, such as shotguns. You can also use melee weapons as this zombie behaves like a normal zombie at close range, but be careful not to get hit by his powerful attacks.
Panzer
Panzers wear heavy armor and black gloves. Their helmets have two bullet holes and they probably got infected through unprotected parts. The German word "Panzer" translates to "armor" or tank. In a military context, "Panzer" is used as an abbreviated form of "Panzerkampfwagen" (armored combat vehicle) and can generally be used to describe German armor from World War II. Panzers are well protected in the front, can do huge damage, but are quite vulnerable in the back.
Panzers move slowly, but can pass under gates, tunnels, cracks in walls, and climb over barricades. They have a very high resistance to front damage due to their thick armor, however, when sufficiently wounded, Panzers stun and turn around, exposing their vulnerable rear. The Panzer Attack is a powerful punch. It will knock Kyle and the player back and make them fall to the ground. This attack is very unbalanced. The panzers will hit over and over again as soon as the player and Kyle try to get up. The blows will constantly knock them down, and they will not be able to do anything until the day they die.
Panzers are slow and stop when hit. They have a lot of health, so it is quite difficult to destroy them. Aim at Panzer’s head for additional damage. When they hit you, you will be knocked down and lose a lot of life. When Panzer corners you, hit him to make him stop moving. Then run.
Rangers
Rangers are soldiers who have been infected and then mutated. Mutations made them gain great strength. They have 3 knives in their chests, and they wear green camouflage pants and taupe boots. Rangers can crawl under gates, tunnels, cracks in walls, and barricades. Rangers are the only special zombies to run besides the First. They can attack Kyle and the player, knocking them down if successful. The damage that the Rangers can do depends on the difficulty, and it will also gradually increase.
The Rangers are extremely powerful, and it is difficult to destroy them without explosives, as Kyle and the player may run out of ammo before they successfully finish off the enemy. Rangers also have incredible speed. These are the only zombies (besides Vomitron) with several types of attack: their attack attacks knock Kyle and the player down, while in hand-to-hand combat they will either hit with two hands, or with a fist, or with a hook. All weapons do the same damage, but do not knock Kyle and the player to the ground.
Rangers are some of the most dangerous zombies in the game. They are very resilient and inflict significant damage to Kyle and the player. Immediately after spawning, they usually perform several attacking actions towards Kyle. Rangers can punch through walls and knock down Kyle and the player at full speed. During the initial charge, the Ragers can make sharp turns. Thus, even if Kyle and the player dodge or take cover behind an obstacle, the Rangers can still change their course and attack obstacles by hitting Kyle and the player.
Zombie in gas mask
A zombie wearing a gas mask is wearing a light gray armored suit with bulletproof plates and a gas mask. However, it is much lighter than an armored suit. This opponent shares all the traits of other zombies. He can crawl, jump and attack the player with his bare hands. Unlike other zombies, he never spawns with metal pipes, however, his health is higher compared to regular zombies, as his armored suit gives him additional protection.
The presence of a zombie in a gas mask can be recognized by the characteristic sounds of breathing that he makes from behind his gas mask, similar to the sounds of a zombie scientist. His health is about 2.5 times that of a normal zombie, but it is still much lower than that of any boss. During normal gameplay, he constantly moves towards the player, in the arena he can run. Gas masked zombies are more vulnerable to headshots than armored zombies. Shots to his body will do much less damage. This zombie appears in the USA, Africa, China, Europe, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the arena.
Armored zombie
The armored zombie wears a light gray armored suit with bulletproof plates and a helmet. However, it is much lighter than the Panzer Armor Suit. Shares all the traits of other zombies. Can crawl, jump and attack the player with his bare hands. Unlike other zombies, he never spawns with a metal pipe, however, his health is higher compared to regular zombies, as his armored suit gives him additional protection (health is about 2.5 times that of a normal zombie, but that’s much lower than any special zombie). This zombie appears in the USA, Africa, China, Europe, South America, Russia, Greenland, Australia, the Middle East, Siberia and the arena. Battle strategy:
- The zombie’s head is protected by a helmet, so it is not recommended to shoot there;
- His suit ripped open, exposing exposed areas. It is recommended to shoot directly at them in order to inflict the most damage;
- Take advantage of explosives (frag grenades, triple mine, red barrels, etc.);
- Take advantage of the environment;
- Take advantage of other special zombies.
First (The First One)
The first, also known as Red or Zombie Zero, was the first person to be infected and the first known zombie. It is not known how he contracted the virus and who he was before his "death". It is also unknown, although it is implied that he was the zombie responsible for the massive contamination of the planet. By the events of Dead Trigger 2, he seems to have turned into a red, fast and muscular monster. When Kyle and his team investigate the CDC, they first see the One in an empty room, banging against the refrigerator. Dr. Ulrich is inside the refrigerator. When the First sees Kyle and his team, he runs away, breaks the window and jumps off.
The former often jumps from a height and throws himself at people, and in battle he behaves exactly like the Ranger. The former is much stronger and has a lot more health than the Rangers. Before he starts knocking you down, he will scream at the top of his lungs. In the final mission of the European Campaign, Kyle and the player must find a sample of the toxin. On the way, they are blocked by two clones of the First.

Dead Trigger 2: Death Arena Walkthrough
Concept. Unlike regular missions, which have objectives and completing them ends the mission, in the arena the player must survive as many waves of zombies as possible. The arena battle does not end until the player dies or leaves it. The arena was also featured in the original Dead Trigger, but the sequel adds some new features to it, including traps, time bonuses, and more. The arena, dubbed "Arena of Death", is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on a fictional island called "Slaughter Island".
Visitors to the arena can place bets on who will survive: a zombie or a "human warrior". The arena icon has a blue border and depicts a round stadium. Clicking on the icon opens an information panel that displays the name of the map and the player’s statistics: the time spent in this area, the number of kills and the number of replays. Clicking on the big "Play" button at the bottom starts the game. Clicking on the medal icon on the side of the information panel opens another panel showing the player’s records and position.
Zombie. The arena includes most of the zombies that the player can encounter during normal missions. Update 0.5.0 also added several new types of zombies, including the builder zombie and two new female zombies. New zombies are just like other regular zombies in terms of health or damage they deal to the player. In addition to the usual ones, you can also meet special zombies in the arena. Unlike regular missions, zombies in the arena are getting stronger and stronger with each wave. The number of fast zombies and zombies armed with metal pipes also increases over time.
Gameplay. After joining the game, the countdown begins. After the countdown, the first wave of zombies is released. The first wave starts with weaker zombies than in the campaign, but after the fifth wave they are already much stronger. The next wave can start before all the zombies from the previous wave are destroyed. To complete the wave, the player must kill 20 zombies. Sometimes special zombies appear.
As the zombies get stronger and stronger, the ammo itself does not replenish, and soon after the start of the rounds it will run out, despite having a larger supply of ammo compared to normal missions. As the player loses the advantage of explosive barrels, it will become more and more difficult for him to survive.
On later waves, it is recommended to move a lot, use melee weapons and avoid getting into a corner, since at this time the zombies are already doing a lot of damage. A cornered player is almost guaranteed death.
Gas station. As the name suggests, the action takes place at an abandoned gas station in the middle of the desert. There is a small building in the middle that houses an ammo crate and a first aid kit (a new feature that works like an ammo crate but restores the player’s health instead). There is a gas station outside the building. This area is surrounded by three traps - they launch any zombies that fall into the air. The captured zombie is destroyed.
Traps need to be charged. To do this, approach them and stand next to them for a few seconds. The territory of the gas station has walls, on one of the borders there is a place separated by a fence - there is a second box with ammunition. There are also several explosive barrels here. The gas station is surrounded by stands. Many survivors watch the player fight and heighten the feeling that this place is an arena.
A good melee weapon is very important, use it as much as possible to save ammo.
Purgatory. Mayhem tournaments are held on the Purgatory map. Purgatory is a construction site in the middle of a large stadium. There is a broken school bus in which you can find a first aid kit. There are two ammo boxes on the map. There are seven traps scattered in this area: two trampolines, three piercers, and a rope trap.
- Tepes is a long metal stake buried in the ground. As soon as a zombie steps on it, it will be impaled, hence the name.
- A rope trap is a rope that looks like an executioner’s knot. If a zombie steps on it, it will be suspended in the air by its leg and will not be able to attack. Such a zombie is very easy to destroy.
Scoreboard. Outside the available map, there is a large board that displays the player’s score, the number of kills, the number of the current wave and the time of the current game. The score is also displayed on the HUD, in the place where the mission goal indicator is usually located.
Happy boxes. Lucky boxes sometimes appear on the map (see screenshot), which is indicated by the commentary of the announcer. The green indicator that appears next to the crosshair shows the direction of the lucky box’s position. It is green and has a question mark. When you open the box, you get various boosts. The duration of the current boost can be monitored on the screen below the score bar. All buffs are temporary and have a different duration. These include:
- Immortality - the player becomes invincible for a short time;
- Melee frenzy - melee weapons temporarily take significant damage (it kills normal zombies in 1 hit, and special zombies in 2 or 4 hits);
- Increase in points - the number of points scored by the player is doubled;
- Damage Dash - a significant increase in the damage of all weapons;
- Builder Dash - Reduces the time required to complete operations (e.g. building traps, building barricades).
Types of traps. There are 3 types of traps used in the arena:
- Spring trap. If a zombie steps on a charged trap, it will be instantly launched into the air. This means its destruction. Special zombies cannot be launched into the air and will step over the trap. If a special zombie steps on it, it will only slow down for a second, but will remain unharmed and continue to attack the player. It is recommended to attract a crowd of ordinary zombies to the location. Lure them to the trap by standing inside to charge them. As soon as the zombies come up, don’t forget to run away.
- Tepes. A large metal spike buried in the ground. As soon as a zombie steps on him, he will be impaled through and through. Tepes is capable of instantly killing any zombie, be it a special zombie or a regular zombie.
- Rope trap. Rope tied to a metal rod. As soon as the zombie steps on him, the rope will lift him by the leg above the ground, completely making it impossible to attack the player.
When you get to using melee weapons, use as many spring traps as possible.
Check. Points are awarded for most of the actions performed by the player during the game. These include killing zombies, shooting explosive barrels, refueling ammo and health, and charging traps. Multiple kills also earn bonus points and money. Campaign money is earned in the same way (including bonuses "Interaction" and "Cruelty", as well as money dropped from zombies). After each surviving wave, a cash bonus is also awarded.
