Forge of Empires: A Beginner’s Guide
The purpose of the game. The path to success lies in the clever use of resources - you can discover new technologies, improve your city and go the road of fame and grandeur, only if you find the right balance between profit and cost.
Epochs. You start the game as the head of a small tribe. Over time, you develop - you explore new technologies, capture territories and turn your small settlement into the capital of the empire. The game is divided into eras. You begin in the Stone Age and go through the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the various stages of the Middle Ages, the Colonial era and the Industrial era. After that, you will be able to visit later eras: the era of progressivism, the era of modernity, the era of postmodernism and modern times.
Then, you will plunge into the future, which will gradually change into something cold and mysterious - the Arctic future. You will move into new eras by discovering technology in your research tree. As soon as you move on to the next century, you will automatically receive a new Town Hall instead of the old. In most cases, during the transition to a new era, you will receive several new buildings that you can immediately build.
Map of the continent. The development and management of the city is not all that you have in this game. On a map of the continent, you can expand your empire, capturing new lands province by province. It’s worth it because it will bring you valuable rewards. The map of the continent is divided into provinces that correspond to game eras. Your progress on the map is approximately equivalent to your progress in technology research. And, look - the whole world lies beyond the map of the continent, with other maps and adventures.
Town. The basis of the city’s success is production. Only if you produce enough coins and resources can you build the latest buildings and train modern troops. Make sure that you have as many residential and industrial buildings as possible, as they provide you with basic income.
Carefully compare the buildings that you can build - there will always be a building that best suits your style of play. Also, it is very important to monitor the level of happiness of your citizens, because if your citizens are happy, their productivity will be much more effective. Build public buildings and decorations and always try to make your residents very happy.
Research. At the top of the screen in your city there is a menu that shows the number of Strategic Points (abbreviated. - CO). Every hour you get a new SB until you reach the limit of 10 points. These glasses are the engine leading to the prosperity of your empire: They are needed for trade, for the improvement of the Great Buildings and, most importantly, for research.
You promote research by investing in technology your JI in the research menu. If you have accumulated enough CO for technology and (if necessary) additional resources, you can open the technology and get something new for your city by finding this in the construction menu.
Quests. On the left side of the screen you will see images of your advisers. If you click on one of them, you can receive tasks from them. Quests will allow you to plunge deeper into the game world and tell the history of this world, as well as about its countries and their rulers. You should complete quests - for this you get rewards such as goods, coins, resources, units that are not tied to cells in military buildings and diamonds. There are two types of quests. Your advisor and right hand, Ragu Silvertong, leads you through the main plot. You cannot refuse these quests and you need to complete them.
Later in the game there will be a second line of quests with an additional plot, you can skip these quests. Your other advisers give you very different tasks: Your architect Fernicus will often ask you to build a building, and your scientist, Mandrubar, will insist on research. You can refuse these tasks. There is nothing wrong with this if you think that the task does not fit your game strategy. Sometimes, this may even be necessary, because, unlike Ragu Silvertong, your advisers can give you completely impossible tasks.
Note that most of the quests that you cancel irrevocably disappear and you will not have the opportunity to go through them later. But there is nothing wrong with this - it is impossible to see all the quests in the game and you will receive only tasks that are suitable for your current situation - usually a different set of situations is taken into account. Therefore, if you cancel a special quest, you will receive another one for a replacement.
Map and fights. You must not forget about the map of the continent. Go through the provinces because you will get more extensions for your city and some valuable resources for development. The choice is yours: either to seize the province by force, or bypass the battle peacefully by paying with goods. At the beginning of the game, it will be easy to cope with troops in the provinces, but, in the future, battles will become extremely difficult. Prepare for this: analyze the types of troops the enemy has in the province and select the best option for your troops for a successful victory.
Let’s say Fast units fight well against Ranged units, Melee units are good against Fast units. Ranged units have an advantage over Melee units. You can increase the chances of victory in the province: if you carry out the Sabotage, the enemy troops will be slightly injured before the battle, which will give a good advantage.
If you wisely use the landscape on the battlefield, you can get a bonus either to protect your troops or to damage, which will simplify the battle and reduce losses.
The players. Mostly you play in your city and on the map of the continent, but interacting with your neighbors is the key to success and entertainment in the game. Trade with them to get the necessary resources. Visit their cities, ennoble or cheer them up in their cities, or gather your army and meet them on the battlefield during regular PvP tournaments to prove your skills as a true commander, attack them once a day and finally rob if you need resources or goods.
You can build the Great Buildings in your city, but they are not so easy to build: you will need the help of neighbors and friends to build the best buildings.
Products. There are many different products in the game, and they only become available in different eras. Sometimes, you receive goods as a reward for completed quests, but usually you need to build an appropriate building and give tasks for production. However, construction and production of goods are not cheap, so it is worth producing only those goods for which you found raw materials on a map of the continent.
You will never have access to all sources of raw materials, so you need to trade in the market. You need goods to buy provincial areas and discover technology. Each product over time you will need, there are no unnecessary goods.
Tips. When starting a game, consider the following:
- Plan ahead;
- Do not let any strategic point abyss;
- Try to receive goods in advance;
- Use deposits of raw materials and trade in the market;
- Use the construction site effectively;
- Get all the extensions that are possible - they will never disappear and are very important for development;
- Do not forget about the daily bonus from your Town Hall;
- Always pay attention to the level of happiness;
- Visit the cities of other players and ennoble or improve the mood in their buildings to quickly get coins;
- In battle: do sabotage! Look at the troops of the opponent and use the most effective composition of troops! Take advantage of the terrain! Attack a unit with several of your units;
- You can find small Incidents in your city and its environs, as well as the coast and the sea.
You can get significant benefits from peaceful coexistence with other players. If you help other players, you get a small amount of coins. If you were helped, you will easily notice it. To help the player, you need to go to his city and you can choose one of the available actions. But remember, you can only perform one action every 24 hours - and since an attack is considered an action, you can attack only once a day or perform only one of the available actions.
Improvement. You can ennoble the public buildings and decors of your neighbors / co-guilds / friends. The level of happiness they give will be doubled over the next 12 hours. Also, you can get a drawing of the Great Building, helping other players.
Cheer up. You can cheer up the residential and industrial buildings of your neighbors / guilds / friends. The level of production in the building is doubled, with this action, the player receives great benefits if his production is set for a long time. With motivation, there is one good secondary effect - a building that was motivated cannot be robbed. As with upgrading, you can get a drawing of the Great Building, helping other players.
Attack. You can attack the player to find out who is the strongest and get battle points in the PvP Tournament - this is a great way to earn Medals. The battle takes place in the same way as in the provinces on the provincial map, the difference is that you will deal with the composition of the army, which was put up by another player and whose composition is unknown in advance.
Robbery. After a successful attack, you have the opportunity to rob a player. You can rob most of the buildings that have finished their production, thereby leaving the other player with nothing. In addition, you will be able to get a drawing of the Great Building with a small chance, however, you are more likely to get blueprints if you help other players.
Help. You can "Ennoble" or "Raise the Mood" to a random building in the city of another player, simply by clicking the button below his portrait on the social bar. This does not require a visit to the city. The "Help" button automatically raises the mood (motivates) or ennobles the construction of the corresponding player without visiting him. How does the help button work exactly? Buildings like the Sanctuary of Knowledge (late eras) are prioritized and have an additional effect when motivated.
If there are no such buildings available, or all of them are already ennobled / motivated, the function will increase the random building. You will also find the "Help" button in the event stream - if someone helped you, you can instantly reciprocate. But, as before, you can visit the player and choose what actions to do and what structures to ennoble / motivate. Which way do you choose? It is completely up to you!
Your inventory contains many buildings, packages of Strategic Points and your drawings of the Great Buildings that you receive for quests, assistance in the construction of Great Buildings or during events.
Application. To open your inventory while playing in a mobile application, use the following icon:
Here you will find all saved items in one tab:
Browser. If you play in the browser version of the game, use the presented icon:
In the browser version of the game, saved items are divided into several tabs.
The buildings. In special cases, such as ongoing events and special historical series of tasks, you can get special buildings. They do not appear in the construction menu, but are placed directly in your inventory. If you want to build them in your city, just click on the building in the inventory and select a place for construction, and there will be no construction fee, however, in some cases, you need to have a free population.
Keep in mind, selling such a building will not return premium resources to you and it will not return to your inventory.
Used items. In this tab are used items, such as packages of Strategic Points, warehousing of buildings, motivation sets, Bonus box. You can find a more detailed description here: Used items.
Products. In the product tab you will find all your products. Special products will be displayed when the Arctic Future is explored.
Great Buildings. This tab displays all the drawings that you have collected. From here you can also build aircraft or unlock levels of Buildings.

Forge of Empires: Buildings
Building is the key to success at Forge of Empires. In order to build buildings, you need to open the construction menu - "build" in the lower left corner of the game screen. Buildings are sorted into different categories, you can select them using various tabs.
All buildings have different sizes, construction costs and final production of finished products, which will vary from era to era. You will need to connect most of your buildings with the Town Hall, otherwise the construction will not start and the buildings will not function. You can move buildings in your city, but you cannot turn them around. In addition, you can sell any building if you no longer need it!
Town Hall The Town Hall is the main building of the city. All buildings, except decors and some special buildings, must be "connected" to the town hall using roads. This is the only building that cannot be sold, as well as the only building that changes its appearance when moving through the centuries.
Residential buildings. Residential buildings are the main buildings that provide the population and a certain amount of coins in a certain period of time. This is a very important type of buildings, since they provide the basic needs for the successful development of the city - population and income.
Production buildings. Manufacturing buildings are important buildings that produce - resources. Resources are widely used to build buildings, in the recruitment of the army, as well as in the production of goods. There are several types of production buildings, all of which differ in size, construction costs and the final production of finished products.
Industrial buildings. Industrial buildings are buildings that produce goods, one of the main resources of Forge of Empires. Are the goods needed? both for technology research, the construction of Great Buildings, and for wars between guilds on the map. Goods can also be used to negotiate in the provinces and to trade with other players. Today, there are over 60 different types of Industrial buildings in the game.
Industrial buildings have similar mechanics to Industrial buildings. The player must assign work to each building, paying with a certain amount of coins, resources and various semi-finished products (from the Modern era and above), for the production of goods. There are four different production speeds, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours, which determines how many goods will be produced.
Public buildings. Public buildings are designed to provide your population with happiness. Similar to Decor, however, provides much more happiness on tile space in the city, the cost of building public buildings is higher than Decors, and they must also be connected to the roads from the Town Hall.
Decors. Like public buildings, Decors are designed to increase happiness in your city, at cheaper construction costs, however, produce less happiness per cell space in the city than public buildings. They are an excellent choice in the early eras of development, while the emphasis is on efficiency and low cost.
Military buildings. Military buildings are buildings in which warriors can be trained. In each such building, you can hire only one type of troops. A military building has two unlocked slots by default, and you can purchase two additional slots by paying a certain amount of coins and resources. There is also a fifth slot, but it can only be opened for diamonds. Also, note that the price required to unlock the slots becomes higher, the more slots you open. Hiring troops does not affect the population.
The roads. Roads are essentially power lines for the city. With the exception of the Town Hall and decoration, all buildings must be connected to the road that is connected to the town hall in order to produce coins, resources, army recruitment, etc. Any building that does not touch the road with at least one edge will display an icon for the absence of a road above it and stop its work.
For the convenience of the players, the roads can be replaced by roads of a different type, without the need to remove the old road. Just lay a new one on top of the old road. However, you should remember that roads do not return back part of the coins and resources spent on it after removal, so try to save them as much as possible when placing / moving buildings, rather than deleting and replacing them.
Starting from the era of Progressivism and above, some buildings will require a two-lane road, instead of the usual one-lane road.
Extensions. Extensions allow the player to increase the area of the city. One extension unlocks the 4x4 cell area that should be placed next to your current extension grid. There are 3 types of extensions:
- Common extensions. You can redeem for coins or diamonds. They become available for purchase for coins or diamonds and installations in your city only after studying in science (up to 2x in each era) or capturing provinces with extensions (up to 2x in each era).
- Extensions for medals. They become available for purchase only for medals and installations in your city only after accumulating the required number of medals. There are no other ways to get them.
- Expansions for only for diamonds (premium). They become available for purchase only for diamonds and installations in your city only after the transition to the next era (up to 2 in each era). There are no other ways to get them.
Expansion is key to increasing stocks of coins and resources. A new player begins the game with 16, 4x4 cell extensions.
Great buildings. Great buildings are special buildings inspired by world history that can be built in the city to provide tremendous benefits to the player.
Special buildings. These buildings are Special buildings that were available for a limited period, mainly during events in the game.
Forge of Empires: Great Buildings
Great Buildings is one of the fundamental mechanics of Forge of Empires. They represent significant achievements in the history and future of mankind and provide very powerful bonuses for your city!
What makes the Great Buildings special? Great Buildings give your city a unique bonus and often produce something. They can also be upgraded to a very high level, providing even higher bonuses and higher performance in your city, without increasing in size. In addition, by investing in strategic points in the Buildings of friends, neighbors and guilds, you can get a reward for your city and the Great Building!
The construction of the Great Building. Great Buildings Great are not built in the same way as ordinary buildings in the game. For their construction, Drawings and Goods of the corresponding era are required. The construction menu will show you an overview of the available Great Buildings and their drawings. Keep in mind that you will not see the Great Building in your inventory if you have not found a single drawing of it.
Blueprints. The construction of any Great Building requires nine different drawings, which you will need to collect for its construction. They can be obtained in the following ways:
- Ennoble or Motivate the buildings of your friends / neighbors / guilds;
- Rob the neighbors, but the chance to find something is a little lower than when ennoblement / motivation;
- Help other players build their Great Buildings (see the "Contributing to the Great Building" section);
- Diamonds: if you find at least one drawing of the Great Building, you can buy the rest;
- Special events in which you can receive a drawing as a reward.
When Ennoblement / Motivation / Robbery, the era of the building, against or for the benefit of which these actions were committed, determines the type of drawing. Example: if you motivate pottery, a Bronze Age building, you can only get drawings of the Statue of Zeus or the Tower of Babel - the Great Bronze Age Buildings. You can also exchange two drawings of a particular Great Building for a random drawing of the same Building (drop out in random order) if you do not have enough drawings for its construction.
Products. In addition to a complete set of Drawings of the Great Building, you also need certain Goods for its construction.
Be sure to trade with your guild, neighbors and friends to get the necessary goods. Once all the resources are ready, place the Great Building in your city using the "Build" button.
Levels of Great Buildings. As soon as you build the Great Building, its level will be zero and will look like a construction site.
Unlike other buildings, they are not built by themselves and must be built using strategic points. When a Building reaches level 1, it takes on the appearance of a building and can only be upgraded to level 10 with strategic points. Upon reaching the 10th level of the Building, you will need a new set of drawings in order to be able to increase its level (one set of drawings allows you to open one level to further increase it).
A set of drawings is absorbed. The higher the level of the Building, the stronger its bonus becomes and the more strategic points are required to increase the level. Details about the number of strategic points for Buildings and their bonuses can be found in their list.
Contribution to the Great Building. When you invest strategic points in the Great Building of your friend / neighbor / co-guild, the first five contributors who contributed the most strategic points will receive a reward after completion of construction. Players who have an Arch will receive additional bonuses if they get into this "five". The reward for the contribution to the Great Building can be:
- Strategic points;
- Drawings of the Building to which they contributed.
Forge of Empires: Army and Battles
He who wants to forge his empire must fight. In Forge of Empires, the military component plays a very important role. You can use your military units to attack other players or to conquer provinces on the Provinces Map. In order to go into battle, for starters you will need military units. You must hire units in the slots of military buildings. In the army control window, you can choose a defense army and an attacking army.
Army management. The army control window is necessary for the effective management of your army. You can mark the units that will defend your city, as well as these units can be used for attack. Units marked with blue frames are your defensive army, these units will defend your city during an attack on you.
Always try to defend as many units as possible. Neighbors will have to defeat this army when they attack you. But do not be afraid, even if the attacker defeats your army, it is immediately fully restored to protect your city from future attacks.
If you want to attack another player or fight on the Continent Map, you must first select an attacking army. You can use to attack and units that stand in the defense of the city. But remember, these units are not protected in the same way as in the defense of the city, therefore during the attack they can be injured or even destroyed, therefore be careful!
And finally, if you want to skip the battle itself and go straight to the end of the battle, click "Auto" in the army control window. Keep in mind that in this case, the AI will take control of your units, and you will no longer be able to independently manage your units!
Types of units. In each era, there are five different military buildings that produce different military units. Units differ in type: there are fast units, light and heavy units, as well as units with close and far attacking distance - arrows and artillery.
- Fast units . They have an excellent distance for movement, but can not do much damage. They can perfectly resist the arrows.
- Light units . Real wagons: they are fast, do good enough damage and can withstand a lot. They are the best at intercepting enemy cavalry.
- Heavy units . Slow and with strong armor. They are formidable melee rivals. It is in close combat that they are better than any other unit.
- Arrows . Units are fast and with the ability to remotely attack, but their damage is negligible. And also they cannot defend themselves, therefore they are easy prey for units that attack in close combat.
- Artillery . Units that are not intended for close combat. They are very slow and have a weak attack. Their main advantage is that from the beginning of the battle they are able to attack almost the entire map and selectively attack almost every unit.
Mobility and Attack. The battle is fought in rounds. Each unit walks and attacks once per round. They move on the map based on the number of movement points, but each type of terrain will cost a different number of these points. Immediately after the movement is over, the unit can attack if there is an enemy within reach. Melee units and fast units are forced to attack from a cell adjacent to the enemy, while arrows and artillery can attack from a long distance.
They do not respond to long-range attacks, however, in melee attacked fast and melee troops can defend themselves. It works like this: The attacking unit inflicts damage on the opponent’s unit, and that in turn can cause retaliatory damage. However, he will have the opportunity to counterattack only once, and thus even the most powerful unit on the battlefield can be destroyed.
Damage. Each unit has a maximum of 10 hit points. The damage of life points is summarized based on the attack value of the attacking unit, the defense value of the defending unit, terrain type modifiers, other bonuses (some units have attack bonuses in opposition to various types of warriors) and random factors. Thus, a unit with a higher attack bonus does more damage. On the other hand, a unit that has a high defense bonus will receive less damage. If a unit runs out of life points, he dies.
Terrain. On the battle map, there are various types of terrain. It can be a forest, bushes, mountains, low hills, plains and bogs. Terrain has two different effects in the game. Firstly, it affects movement in battle. Cells with water are impassable and other cells cost a certain amount of movement points. On the other hand, different types of terrain can give certain bonuses.
Light units receive a protection bonus in the bushes and forest, heavy units are better protected on the plain, artillery units receive an attack bonus when they shoot from the hills, while arrows can do more damage when standing in a mountain cage. Only fast units do not receive a bonus on terrain types.
Positive effects. Unit statistics can be increased as a percentage. For example, in some provinces of the map of the continents, all enemy units may have an attack and defense bonus (this can be seen inside the sector. The attack and defense bonus is shown as a shield at the bottom of the enemy unit’s icon). There are two different power-ups that can affect enemy armies, both of which are summarized from some buildings, including some Great Buildings.
- Fierce resistance. All units of the player’s defensive army receive a bonus to attack and defense. This means that they will take much less damage and have the ability to deal much more damage to the enemy while defending the city.
- Fury. All units of the attacking army of the player receive a bonus to attack and defend units, which allows during the attack to receive much less damage and inflict much more damage to the enemy army.
- Defense bonus. All units in the player’s defensive army receive only a defense bonus, which allows them to take less damage.
- Attack Bonus. All units in the player’s attacking army receive an attack bonus only, which allows them to do more damage to the opponent.
Healing. What if your units were damaged during the battle? It’s not a problem! All units will recover automatically after a time, 1 life point in a certain period of time. Units that died in battle are not restored. Their slot in military buildings is freed up and you can always hire troops again. You also have the ability to instantly heal your units in the Army Management window for diamonds.
You have the opportunity to even resurrect dead units immediately after the battle for diamonds. This can be very useful if you need to resurrect the only unit that was received not from the slots of military buildings, but from tasks or during various events, and you do not have the opportunity to replace it.
There are some units in the game that receive an additional bonus or tactical opportunities, thanks to special skills. At the moment, the following skills exist in the game:
- Volley. This skill is possessed by some units with remote attack. The unit receives an attack bonus for each cell closest to the target.
- Hide in (locality). A unit possessing this skill cannot be attacked from a long distance if it is on the corresponding terrain cell, and while it is on this cell the attack is possible only from close combat.
- Secret identity. A unit with this skill completely ignores the first attack. Instead, it turns into an undamaged copy of a unit from your army that is not a secret person. If you have no units left without a secret identity, then when you attack a secret identity, the unit dies.
- Courage. The skill possessed by the Heavy Cavalry in the era of the High Middle Ages and the era of the Late Middle Ages. The skill increases attack and defense (by 3 and 5 in accordance with these eras) if you have only one unit with this skill.
- Call of Duty. A unit with this skill gives an attack and defense bonus to all friendly units after he dies on the battlefield. It is applied only once.
- To dig in. A unit with this skill receives a defense bonus if the attacking opponent is at a certain distance from him. The number of cells for the bonus depends on the unit.
- Rapid Response Troops. Units with this ability start a battle on a random cell on the battlefield, and also always "go" first.
- Flight. Units with this skill cannot be attacked by artillery and ignore terrain when moving.
- Reactive armor. Units with this skill cannot take more damage than a certain amount from one attack.
- A strong beat. Ignores defensive skills (for example, flying) as well as bonuses to protect the terrain.
- Melee. With this skill, a unit gains an attack bonus if it attacks a target in an adjacent cell.
- Fighting spirit. All Allied forces begin the battle with 1 additional armor point. Points are not cumulative.
- Inspiration. All your units start a battle with an attack and defense bonus if the army has 1 unit with this skill. Bonus is not cumulative.
- Heat. A unit with the Heat skill reduces the enemy’s attack by a certain percentage.
- Contact. A unit with this ability always responds with a counterattack on a counter attack.
- RGCH IN. A unit with this skill hits the target and from one to three opponents that are in range.
- Single shot. The unit disappears from the battlefield after the attack and dies if the battle was lost.
Forge of Empires: Types of Quest Givers
In the game you will have advisers who will give you new tasks and will try to help in all your endeavors.
Ragu Silvertong (right hand). Your most important adviser, who will help you not only in communicating with other rulers with basic state affairs, but also will always be with you during significant events in your city. Ragu Silvertong is very smart and thoughtful, but some people say that he achieved his high position without much effort and can be quite insincere. You must try so that he is always on your side, otherwise one day he may become a problem.
Grievous (general). Your general is an old-school soldier. He saw many battles and he is very experienced - his advice is always well thought out and you can trust his judgments. Grievous is a man of few words; he always briefly says what he thinks. But he is also faithful to his king and will obey all your orders without question.
Greva Darn (Merchant). Your merchant has an amazing talent for making money. She always feels the opportunity to do business, and her advice is always worth listening to. However, Greva Darn is well aware of her business acumen and considers herself smarter and better than others - which is true in most cases. for this reason, she does not show courtesy, one might even say that she is arrogant. It will be very difficult to impress Greva and earn her respect. But you have to try - your efforts will pay off.
Mandrubar (Minister of Science). There is a separate discussion about Mandrubar. He is old, very well-read, very smart, able to work without respite, as long as it concerns science. In his laboratory, he does business with ease, but in the real world he is lost and helpless. You can always expect that Mandrubar will bring you useful knowledge if you support his research projects.
Fernicus (builder). Fernicus is a talented architect who is truly absorbed in his work. He is as enthusiastic as a small child when it comes to architecture and beautiful buildings, and he is always trying to get permission to build new buildings. But, sometimes, his enthusiasm goes a little far and you may have trouble trying to slow him down if he comes into a building frenzy.
Rinbin (buffoon). Your jester, Rinbin, is responsible for ensuring that people are always in a good mood. He will entertain you with intelligence and wisdom. But be careful - he will also make jokes on you and your advisers. But he will never really harm you and you can rest with the confidence that he will be on your side when you have to tight and always give valuable advice.
Masjena (consultant). The beautiful princess Masiena from Maidenport was imprisoned by the evil Caeserin Constance. After her rescue, she is immensely grateful to you and is ready to help you as a consultant. But be careful! Rumor has it that you should not get carried away by the beauty of Lady Masiena, because she can use her charm for some personal purposes. Is this so, or is she simply envious?
Forge of Empires: Daily Challenges
How to start the test? Every day at 8 a.m. server time, you will be given a daily test from the mysterious Nameless. Keep in mind that these challenges can be challenging, but the prizes you can get will be worth it! To participate in the Daily Challenge, you need to open the Daily Challenge tab in the Quests.
Two chests with different tasks will be available to you. Choose the chest that you find most attractive. The contents of the chests will change every day. Keep in mind that you will receive prizes from the selected chest and nothing more.
Once you select one of the chests you will be given a Daily Challenge, which will need to be completed in order to receive prizes.
Since there are more rewards in the Daily Challenge than in regular quests, these trials can have up to 5 different conditions and can be much more difficult than regular quests. Provincial intelligence or technology exploration cannot be part of the challenge. If the test is successfully completed within 24 hours, one progress point will be indicated in the interim scale below.
Completing the Daily Challenge every day will add an extra progress point to the timeline. A missed day will reduce the accumulated points by 1. You will receive negative points if you do not have accumulated progress points. As soon as 7 points of progress are received, Bezymyanny will appreciate your efforts and provide an additional chest with the most coveted reward!
In order to participate in the Iron Age Daily Challenge, Druzhina technology must be studied during the course of the study.
How to change the test start time? Once the test has been accepted, the timer will start counting down from 24 hours.
Typically, trials start at 8 a.m. server time, but the time can be changed according to personal preference by clicking the gear icon.
You can change the test start time to any hour of your choice. Keep in mind that you can select only whole hours, but not minutes. If the default time has been changed, you will receive the next test the next day, at a new set time. For example: If you change the start time from 8:00 to 16:00, you will not receive the next test after 24 hours, but after 32 hours. And the next day you will receive the test at 16:00, but not on the day when the time was changed.
What are the prizes in the chests? Chests can contain many different prizes that can be changed. What prizes you can get, as well as the probability of getting a certain prize will be listed in the chest itself.
Different chests may contain the following prizes:
- Strategic points;
- Residential buildings;
- Production buildings;
- Public buildings;
- Special buildings;
- Used items;
Forge of Empires: Resources
Forge of Empires has many different resources that you need to unlock technology, conquer provinces, or build buildings and troops. Make sure you have the right balance of these resources to move forward.
Coins You get coins regularly from your residential buildings, and once a day you get coins as a bonus from your Town Hall. In addition, you get coins if you complete quests, capture areas or provinces, and also rob your neighbors. You need coins to build new buildings, buy extensions, or hire troops. In addition, they are necessary to discover new technologies, scout provinces, commit sabotage in provincial areas and buy additional strategic points. So, remember: there are never too many coins!
Resources. You receive resources from orders that you place in production buildings. In addition to the resources obtained from the production buildings, you will receive resources for completing quests, occupied territories or robbed buildings. Like coins, you need resources to build, recruit troops and discover new technologies.
Products. Products are important resources that are required for several different gaming functions. You can receive the goods as a reward for completing a task from the Incident or from the Guild Expedition. Usually, for the production of certain goods you need to build Industrial buildings. In each era, you can produce up to five different products.
Since neither buildings nor production are cheap, it makes sense to build only buildings of those goods for which you have already found the Source of raw materials on the Map of the Continent. If you find the Source of raw materials, then your products in Industrial buildings will increase, and you will produce five times more goods than without it. Before the Age of Modernity, you can find two Sources of raw materials for different goods of the same era. Therefore, it is impossible to access all Sources of raw materials of goods of the same era. Other necessary goods may be obtained by trading with other Players the Goods that you produce.
You will need Goods to capture Sectors without fighting through negotiations, to unlock new technologies, to negotiate on the Guild Guild Expedition, and to complete certain tasks or Daily Challenges. There is not a single Product that would be unnecessary, although at first it may seem so.
Semi-finished products. Upon reaching the Age of Modernity, goods can become semi-finished products. This means that the production of such goods requires not only coins and resources, but also goods from previous eras. Raw materials are used to accelerate the production of semi-finished products from previous eras. Therefore, you will need goods (raw materials) from the Bronze Age and the Colonial period for the production of goods of the Age of Modernity.
For the production of goods of the Postmodern Era (raw materials), you will need products from the Iron Age and the Industrial Age. Since the Great Buildings and Special Buildings produce semi-finished products, they will not produce the goods of the current Age, but will double the number of goods produced from previous Epochs that will be needed in the production of goods of the current Age.
Special products. When you reach the era of the Future, you will begin to discover alternative versions of the future. First you will see the construction sites at the beginning of each version. They will appear outside your city. Construction sites will not function until you study the technology in each version of the Future. After construction, these settlements allow you to launch expeditions for the production of special goods. For the expedition you will have to hire a crew aboard your ship.
You must also ensure that your transportation is designed to maximize the productivity of your expeditions. But be careful, each crew member will have certain skills, so you need to choose them in accordance with the purpose for which you are counting. You will also pay for ship repairs with goods. Finally, you can improve your site for the extraction of special goods by opening the technology. This will allow you, for example, to hire an additional crew member or to have more crew members. Types of special goods:
- Promethium. Age: Arctic Future;
- Orihalk. Age: The Oceanic Future.
Medals. Only the most successful rulers manage to get medals. If you succeed in PvP battles against other players, you will receive them as a reward for your achievements. Also, you get medals for participating in the construction of the Great Buildings. Use them to get additional extensions for your city.
Strategic points. Strategic points enable your empire to move forward. You need them to trade in goods, as well as to increase the levels of the Great Building. Every hour you get a strategic point, but you can buy points for Diamonds too. If you collect 10 points, you will stop receiving them - therefore, you should go into the game regularly and spend your points so that they do not disappear.
Diamonds Diamonds are a very valuable resource because it is universal. You can use them in various places of the game: build special premium buildings, speed up construction time and buy additional strategic points. You can also buy missing items or speed up provincial intelligence. Diamonds, extremely rarely, can be obtained in some quests, but if you need them now, you can buy them.
Population. Without workers, you won’t be able to get work done - your population is the key to this. Residential buildings give you the people you need to build other buildings, such as industrial buildings, industrial buildings and military buildings. Make sure you have enough people, otherwise you will not be able to build these buildings. If you sell a residential building, you lose the population that was located in it. If you do not have a free population, you cannot demolish the building. Also, you can regain your population by selling the building that used it.
Happiness. Pay attention to the mood of your residents - if they are happy, they will work better! An unhappy population works much worse and even refuses to fight for you or trade. So, always be sure that your population is happy or even delighted. You can achieve this by building public buildings or decors. Improved roads also bring people happiness.
You can enthrall your people if you increase the level of happiness in the city 40% higher than your population. This will give you + 20% to your collection of coins and resources. To find out how much happiness you need for delight, taking into account a certain number of people, you can simply multiply the total population by 1.4. In the event that you have a lot of happiness and you need to build many houses without losing the level of Delight, the following recommendations will help you:
- Divide your current happiness by 1.4.
- Look at the number of people in the house you are planning to build and divide the last result into that population.
This number, obtained by dividing the coefficient of happiness by the population of the house, will show you how many more you can build such houses without losing the level of enthusiasm.
Extensions. Strictly speaking, a place for construction is also a resource of the city, you will quickly notice that available space is limited. But you do not need to constantly sell buildings - you can expand your city. To do this, you must open the extension. Explore technology or conquer provinces for this.
You can find extensions in the construction menu - pay and place them near your city. Also, extensions are available for Diamonds or Medals. But expanding the city is not the only way to build your city - compare buildings by productivity and occupied space. Buildings that are smaller but more efficient will save you space!
Keep in mind that extensions for medals are independent of your era. Currently 32 extensions are available for medals.
Expansion of the Viking settlement. In a Viking cultural settlement, city expansion can be purchased for cultural goods or for diamonds. You can choose which cultural product you would like to pay for any extension. Only one product is required per extension.
Forge of Empires: Map of the Continent
World map. As you can see, the Map of Continents consists of different continents. Some of them represent different eras, but you will also find on it access to the Guild Map of the Continents, as well as access to your own city.
Intelligence provinces. When you enter the World Map for the first time, you will notice that almost the whole world is hidden from you. You can send a scout to neighboring provinces to get more information about them, and, in the process of exploring new areas, the clouds will disappear.
A scout will require more and more coins and time to reach the destination, but the result is worth the cost!
Sectors. After the province is investigated, you will see more information. Your scout will tell you everything you need to know to conquer this province. This information includes a reward for conquering the province, rewards for the acquisition of each sector, which the leader offers in exchange for the sector and the army that protects this sector.
Conversation. If you are good in trade and business, you can conquer provinces without a fight. Your skills in trade and business will be useful in negotiations to expand your empire.
The product for which you received a production bonus, you can produce in large quantities, which will allow you to exchange it on the market for other types of goods. You will also have the opportunity to negotiate the conquest of the province you have scouted. But be careful, you will need goods in other areas of the game, so do not forget that you can always fight for the conquest of the province.
Attack. If you have the spirit of a warrior, then you can realize your talents on the path to conquering the world of Forge of Empires.
In each sector you will find an army that has been put in defense by the owner of this sector. You can use 8 of your best units to defeat different defenses. You can also weaken the enemy’s defense by sabotaging and entering the sector for coins.
This will weaken your opponent’s units. During your conquests, you will meet more and more resistance and new opponents (these can be both Barbarians and Indigenous people). Fights will become more difficult, but your strength will grow as the empire expands and your city develops.
Awards. Your victories will help you get short-term and long-term effects for your empire:
- Sector reward. In addition to the battle points (which are summarized in the Tournament Towers and in the overall ranking), the sector will give you additional coins or resources.
- Award for the province. When the province is completely captured, you will receive a reward. Rewards can be various: long-term or short-term.
- Tower. In order to participate in the tournament of the Tower of Epoch you need to capture the province on which the Tournament Tower of this era is located.
- Production bonus. Each era will allow you to get production bonuses that allow you to increase the production of goods in industrial buildings.
- Extensions. Some provinces will give you the opportunity to get extensions to expand the size of your city.
- Coins / Resources.
Forge of Empires: Tournament between neighbors
Introduction Tournaments are a way to test your military power confronting your neighbors and one way to get Medals in the game. They are held every week and usually run from Monday to Sunday. There are a few things you need to know if you want to participate in tournaments. The following actions in the game will contribute to your rank in the tournament:
- Defeat your neighbors;
- Win the battles in the Guild Wars;
- Conquest of the sector on a map of the continents;
- Victory in the battles of the Guild Expedition.
Precondition. Each era has its own tournament. You must first conquer the province that contains the tower of that era in the tournament of which you want to participate. You can find all the provinces on your map of the continent. At the top of the News Feed, you can see which towers you have conquered and how long the tournament will take. The gray tower indicates that you have not conquered it yet.
You will need to fight while the tournament is running, so that your fights are taken into account. Please note that tournaments are closed on Sunday evenings. Your army must include the units of the tower era in the tournaments that you want to participate. After the battle, the tournament at which it will be counted will correspond to the era of the highest level that you used. For example, if you used 7 units of the Iron Age and 1 unit of the early Middle Ages, the battle will go to the tower tournament of the early Middle Ages.
Forge of Empires: Guild Guide
Guilds are an important part of the game. As a member of the guild, you can play along with friends or find new friends who can help you in all aspects of the game. Trading, in this case, will be carried out without a commission, you can also find help in the guild chat or on the guild forum.
You can support the Guild by visiting guild members, ennoble or cheer up their buildings and most players will help you in return. You can also join the battles and fight together with the guilds in the Guild Wars, join the expedition of your guild, thereby increasing the level of your guild, as well as receive bonuses for yourself.
How to join or create a guild? In order to join or create a new guild, you need to learn the technology of blacksmithing. You can access the basic information of your guild through a menu that can be opened from two places.
From the main window, on the panel with mail, by clicking on the "Players" button in the drop-down menu on the button with the shield image (only for the browser version of the game) or on the right of the menu by clicking on the shield icon (in the mobile version of the game).
If you have not joined the guild, the guild menu looks like this. In the guild menu, you can select and join one of the proposed guilds, accept an invitation from the guild or create your own new guild.
Accept the invitation to the guild. If you receive an invitation to a guild, you become a member of this guild immediately when you accept the invitation. You can accept the invitation in the following way:
Click on the green checkmark next to the invitation to the guild menu.
Creating a guild. If you want to create a new guild, go to the guild menu and then click on "create new guild".
When creating a new guild, you must give your guild a name and decide how other players can join the newly created guild. The name of the guild and the invitation mode can always be changed in the settings, at any time.
- If you select "through auto-join", then each player who wants to join your guild will automatically become a member of the guild.
- If you select the item "on request", the player will have to send a request for entry, which the guild administration will have to consider, accept it, or reject it.
- If you select "by invitation only", the guild will not accept applications, and recruitment of new players to the guild will be carried out only by direct invitations.
After you create a guild, do not forget to go to the guild administration window and update the information there.
How to leave the guild? You can leave your guild. To do this, go to the guild menu, go to the "Members" tab and click on the red button with a cross in front of your game name.
Remember, leaving the guild you will not be able to return to it again within 7 days.
Guild Management. The guild management window has 5 tabs, but only 4 are available to ordinary players. To access the fifth tab, you must have the rights of "Leader" or "Founder".
- Guild Profile Tab. You can change the name and banner of the guild by clicking on the "Edit Profile" button. To change the description of your guild, click on the "Edit Description" button. Remember that this is the guild’s "calling card".
- Members tab. This is a list of guild members. You can grant or withdraw rights to each member of the Guild by clicking on the appropriate icons in front of each member.
- Management Tab Only Founders, Leaders and Recruiters can see this tab. Here you can see who sent the request to join the guild, send out invitations and change the way the guild will recruit new members.
Rights in the guild. The proper distribution of rights in the Guild is a very important part of the Guild’s leadership. Too few trusted players with rights will oblige top managers to appear in the game every day and be always in touch. Otherwise, it will lead to inactivity due to the lack of rights of other participants and can lead, ultimately, to anarchy. Each guild will have to decide what rights and to whom to grant:
- Founders. Guild founders can do anything. Even dismiss the other Founders from the guild and disband the guild. The founders of the Guild are also the only ones who can give other members the rights of "Leader".
- Leader. The Leader of the Guild can do everything except those rights mentioned as the Founder of the Guild.
- Moderator The moderator can change and create new topics in the Guild Forum.
- Recruiter. The recruiter may invite new players to join the guild.
- Herald. The rights of the Herald allow a member of the guild to do mass mailings inside the Guild.
- Fiduciary. The rights of the Trustee give the participant the right to establish and remove sieges on the Guild map of the continents, as well as pay for defensive slots in the sector, relocate headquarters and grant freedom to the captured sectors.
Guild treasury. The treasury of the guild is very important for the participation of the guild in the war against other guilds in the Civil Code. The treasury automatically receives the goods when members of the guild collect goods from their Observatories, Atomiums and Arok, however, the player himself can donate the goods to the treasury.
Select the product you want to donate, enter the quantity and click the "Donate" button. Donating goods to the guild treasury gives the player rating points. Players with the rights of a "Trusted" can use the goods from the treasury to pay for the siege during the war against other guilds as well as to pay for the defensive army slot in the captured sector. Players with Founder and Leader rights can use items to unlock higher levels of expedition.
Guild Forum. The guild forum is a place where the guild can communicate and save information important for the guild, such as guild policies, rules for trading in the guild market, and other important information. Players with the rights of "Moderator" can create new sections of the forum, as well as create hidden sections that are visible only to the founders, leaders and moderators.
Guild level and bonuses. The growth of your guild is very important, it gives bonuses to all members of the guild. Some bonuses can help you in the war against other guilds on the map, while others will bring personal bonuses to each member of the guild. Currently, the possible guild level is from level 1 to level 100.
Guild Rating. Guild ratings are based on prestige, which is calculated based on guild level and daily influence. When a guild captures a sector on the Guild Map of the Continents and holds it until daily counting, it will begin to produce a certain amount of influence. This influence is added when counting the guild rating from each era. The more influence, the better, as well as the Guilds that got into the TOP-3 of the game world receive an additional bonus:
To get into the TOP-3 you will need to conquer and control many sectors, but remember that in Forge of Empires there are many eras and the total influence will be equal to the sum of the influence from all the cards. This effect will be useful for:
- Level up your guild;
- Counting the total prestige of your guild.
Thus, to increase the rating of the guild, you will need to increase the level (gain influence) and capture as many sectors as possible in all eras of the Guild map of the continents. In addition, you can also see information about the rating of each guild, for example: the current level, the number of participants and the number of days that this guild takes 1st place in the rating (TOP-1).
This completely new addition takes the Expeditions to a different level, and for the first time in the history of Forge Empires, competition between worlds will be possible! Each week, your guild will be grouped together with a maximum of 6 random guilds of the same size from different worlds of the language version.
During the 6 days of the long expedition, you will be able to compete with them. Make sure that as many of the comrades in your guild as possible have completed the expedition to get to the very top of the stairs! When you open the expedition window, you can see a new icon at the top of the screen, next to the progress bar:
When you click on it, you will see a new screen with the ladder of the Championship, representing your guild and other guilds (from 3 to 6) that were selected in the same group this week. The screen shows the current status of the expedition for each of the guilds in the group:
The final place your guild will take depends on how many obstacles you and the other guild members have completed in the current expedition. Completing all three difficulty levels will give you 100%. The highest value - 133% - can be obtained by completing Level IV. Guilds and players taking part in level IV will be marked with an indicator: a flaming pyramid. Progress is updated live, so you can follow the championship at any time! ? There are several rules for participation.
First of all, only guilds from at least 3 members who have already reached the Iron Age will be admitted to the championship. Secondly, at least one member of the guild must contribute to the previous expedition of its current guild. If one of these requirements is not met, the guild can still take part in the expedition, but will not participate in the championship.?
At the end of the expedition, the top 3 guilds will receive a bonus in excess of the collected influence during the expedition. The winning guild gets + 25%, the 2nd gets + 15%, and the 3rd guild will be rewarded + 10%. In addition, these guilds will also receive symbolic prizes, which will subsequently be visible in the guild profile:
For example, the noble guild, which you can see above, managed to get to each of the first three places once (until now). This feature, of course, will be cross-platform. All obstacles completed (from a browser or mobile application) will be counted regardless of the platform!
Forge of Empires: Guild Wars
Join the war! Your guild is fighting for power and power. Your goal is to expand the territory of the guild and keep them, to raise the level of the guild and receive bonuses for it and for each player in it. Each day, your guild will have to conquer new sectors or defend existing ones, leaving them under their control. At the end of each day (when the countdown timer reaches zero), the guild will receive points depending on the number and type of territories it controls, and these points are directly related to the points that the guild will receive to increase its level of development.
The higher the level of development of your guild, the more bonuses for it and for the players who are in it! In order to take part in the battles, you must be a member of the guild. The size of the guild does not matter, if you have reached the development of the Iron Age, you can take part in battles on the global map. Battles in the GVG battles give battle points, just like the battles in the PvP towers, so now you do not need to be torn before choosing between the PvP towers and the battles in the GVG.
Global map. All actions of the Guards Guards take place on the global map, this map was created specifically for the conduct of hostilities between guilds. The map is divided into provinces, which, as you can see, are divided by rivers and mountains. Each of these areas is tied to a specific era. The global map gives general information about the position of your guild, the provinces controlled by it, and the provinces that are available to your guild for further expansion.
Your guild can fight both for one province or for several, at the same time, the choice is yours! It must be remembered that the units and goods required for the battle must correspond to the era of the captured province. As an example, if the province belongs to the Iron Age, you can use units and goods only of the Iron Age.
"All Ages." At the bottom of the Guild Map of the Continents, there is a small province special for All Age. In this province, you will be able to use units from any era in your battles. You will not be able to use the usual types of goods on this card, since the cost of the siege, as well as the costs of deploying defensive armies, can only be paid by medals.
Provinces. Directly in the provinces located on the global map are fighting. This is the starting point for conducting sieges of sectors and their subsequent attacks, with the support of all the players in your guild.
Sector. Sectors are represented by hexagons on the global map. Your guild must capture it - and defend it from subsequent intrusions - to expand its possessions. The capture of the sector consists of two stages - in the first you need to besiege it, in the second an attack will be available!
Sectors have different colors, depending on who owns them:
- Red - Hostile Guild;
- Green is your guild;
- White - neutral (peaceful NPC).
Landing area. When you open the provincial map, you can see the darkened sectors, which means that these sectors you have not yet explored and cannot be captured at the moment, as well as sectors in which you can land and establish the headquarters of your guild.
How to attack? Once you have entered the provincial map, you will be able to place your siege armies in any sector of the landing zone (painted white), on sectors located on the river, or occupied by another guild, in the landing zone.
Sector Status As you can see, in the image above, if the sector is under siege, there is a pictogram of two crossed swords on it. The "Shield" icon means that the sector is protected from attacks, as it was recently captured and is currently unavailable for repeated attacks. The protected sector cannot be attacked, and is not accessible to siege armies. This means that if there is a protected sector adjacent to your sector that you intend to capture, then you will have to wait until the defense "falls off" and the sector becomes available for siege armies the next day.
The event log. You can view the global map event log. By clicking on the event log button in the menu at the bottom left of the screen.
- Important events (yellow star);
- Guild actions (green shield);
- Hostile actions (red shield).
If you click on the various tabs, you will receive information about the events and the location (centered on the global map).
Sector Functions. When you click on a sector, the displayed parameters depend on whether your sector belongs to the guild, the guild enemy controls it, or NPC (in this case, no options are displayed). You can see an example of displaying a sector that belongs to your own guild.
Clicking on the Guild Profile will lead you to the profile of your guild, and if you click on the Guild Rating, the guild rating window will open.
Headquarters Movement. Every day, the bonus of your rear support primarily applies to the sector where your headquarters is located and has the highest value, after which it spreads in a spiral from the headquarters to your neighboring sectors, the further they are, the lower the bonus value. This makes the headquarters a strategic point that should be located in various places to get the maximum benefit from the distributed bonuses.
Click on the line headquarters transfer and move it to the selected location, note that this can be done only once a day. Recalculation of sector bonuses during the transfer of headquarters will be carried out only the next day, after the end of the countdown timer.
Sector Exemption. If for any reason the sector has lost strategic value for you, you can give it freedom. In this case, the sector passes under the control of the NPS, the goods spent on this sector will be sent to the guild warehouse located in the territories under its control, as well as the invasion armies located in this sector. Remember that you can capture a sector only once a day.
Daily count. Every day, at the end of the timer countdown (you can see it on the global map), an action is calculated for the last 24 hours, consisting of:
- Guild level calculation.
- Guild rank calculation.
- Calculation of the defensive bonus of players when changing the level of buildings and recalculation of the rear support bonus in accordance with this.
- Scoring influence points, in accordance with the number and type of controlled provinces.
- Recalculation of attack and defense sectors.
- If you transferred your headquarters the previous day, the possibility of re-transfer is reactivated and becomes available.
Guild level in a war. A rising guild level increases its rating and provides bonuses for its players. Some bonuses give an advantage on the global map, others give advantages directly to the players themselves. You can see information about the level of your guild and a description of all levels in the guild level window, which is available by clicking on the corresponding icon in the guild menu. To view information about level rewards and more, use the scroll arrows in the guild level window.
How to raise the guild level? The level of the guild directly depends on the number and type of conquered and retained sectors of the provinces on the global map. Each new conquest and each successfully repulsed attack on the sectors, bring guilds at the end of the day points to increase its level. In addition, it is possible to accelerate the growth of the guild level due to the influence collected from the halls of fame and bazaars, etc., collected per day (including the robbery of halls of fame and bazaars, and other other players).
- Guild Bonuses - As you gain levels, guilds receive the following bonuses:
- Reputation - Adds only guild reputation points.
- Reserve Bonus - Increases the guild rear support bonuses (attack / defense of units in the Guards).
- Bonuses to players - Some bonuses for the level of the guild apply directly to players:
- Speeding up hiring - Reduces unit training time (displayed in buildings).
- Speeding up research - Increases the number of strategic points (in the town hall).
- Construction discount - Reduces the cost of construction of all buildings as a percentage (the initial cost will be displayed in the technology tree, and the new one will be displayed in the construction menu).
Guild ratings in the war. It is expressed by two ratings: the general rating of the guild and the rating of the guild on the map.
- The overall rating of the guild is a global rating consisting of the total achievements in the Guards and guild levels directly.
- The number of captured sectors and the power points they provide also make up the card rating, in which the guild that won first prize places also gets some advantages.
Every day, when recounting points, after the countdown timer expires, the 3 guilds who won the first places receive bonuses that increase indicators (in percent):
- 1st place - 15%;
- 2nd place - 10%;
- 3rd place - 5%.
Click on the enemy octagon of the sector and select "view sector" (skip it if the sector belongs to the NPC), after which the army control window will open. In the upper right part of the screen there is a field (tinted in the image in green) designed to accommodate invasion armies. It, in turn, contains two tabs: the invading army (if the sector does not belong to you), and the defense army (if the sector is yours). If you need to capture a sector, you select the invasion army tab.
Deploy an army of invasion. Before attacking, first of all, you need to besiege the sector that you intend to capture. The deployment of the first invading army costs a certain amount of resources (the cost of deploying subsequent armies increases), the number and type are shown in the image below. After adding units to the siege army, they are removed from your control and cannot be returned!
Sector attack. Once you have selected sectors, you can launch attacks to attack and deploy invasion armies. It is very unlikely to conquer a sector with one attack, and this usually happens in several attacks, in order to gain full control over the sector. You will have to attack with your own army (since you cannot control invasion armies). Click on the red Defense Army icon in the army control window to see the defending units of the enemy.
It is possible that you will meet up to 8 sector defense armies, and you must defeat everyone in order to gain control of the sector. In this example, the owner of the sector has two armies. Under the Army badge, you can see the health score. Remember that you must conquer them one after another, completely destroying the army. Each time you attack, you throw your army against a randomly selected defending army (you cannot know which one it is against).
In this particular case, the sector’s defense army has two armies with a health status of 8 and 9, which means that you have to win 17 battles to win the battle. Once you have destroyed all of your opponent’s armies, your invasion army moves into the sector and thus becomes the sector’s defense army. There is a possibility of a simultaneous siege of a sector when another guild also besieges a sector of your choice and has already placed siege armies. At this point, the sector is not yet captured. You can attack and destroy her as well as the owner of the sector’s defense army. To attack siege armies you must click the green icon.
After you beat the defending army, you can see the status of each unit when you hover over the army control window. After the army received damage, the state of the units is available to everyone.
After the victory and capture of the sector. After gaining control of the sector, "Remaining Day" (as indicated by the countdown timer) is protected from further attacks. When the countdown reaches zero, it will become available for re-invasion. It is in your best interest to keep the sector as long as possible while protecting it in order to get more points. The army that you used as the invading army, after conquering the sector, automatically becomes the Defense Army.
Power points are calculated each time a timer expires on the previous day. To get points, you must have sectors at your disposal. Possession or conquest is a major factor in battles. If you conquered a sector, you start with a defensive army (which was previously your invading army).
You can put seven more armies in open slots of defense armies installed in such a way as to maximize the number of defense armies. However, each army slot requires payment for goods in order to open them. With each slot, the quantity of goods is required more and more. Like the invasion forces, defense armies "belong" to the guild and cannot be withdrawn or used in any other way.
Under the siege. When your sector is under siege, it does not give power points for the guild. Most actions will also be unavailable (deployment of defense armies, relocation of headquarters or liberation of the sector). Thus, in the interests of the guild as soon as possible to lift the siege of their sectors, destroying the enemy invasion army.
Rear support. Each guild has a rear support bonus that applies to all activities on the global map. Guild rear support is made up of the level of the guild itself and the presence of appropriate buildings for the guild players, all this gives an increase in percentage of the attacking and defensive features of the units participating in battles on the global map.
The maximum value of the Logistics Support Bonus is at headquarters (up to 75%), which applies to adjacent sectors, the further the sector is from the headquarters, the lower the logistic support bonus. You can find out the support bonus by hovering over the army. You can get army defense and attack bonuses as support if they are within the headquarters range. Logistical support is recounted every day at the end of the countdown.
Your headquarters has a maximum bonus of 75%, sectors directly adjacent to the headquarters can have a maximum bonus of 50%, the further the sector from the headquarters, the lower the value of its rear support bonus.
War Guild Rights and Guild Depot
Guild Rights. Not all actions in Guy are allowed to all players. The following actions require special rights:
- Open slot for defense armies;
- Remove any of the armies;
- Expand the invading army;
- Free the sector;
- Move headquarters.
Guild Warehouse. When your guild takes over new territories, deploys armies, etc., it needs an appropriate amount of goods from different eras. Each guild player can participate in the replenishment of these goods, filling the guild warehouse. When you try to place an army, a slot redemption screen will appear where you can pay for goods, thereby replenishing the guild’s warehouse.
In the image below you need to pay 30 dragots. (available), as can be seen from the picture - they are already in the warehouse of the guild. However, there is a lack of iron, fabric, ebony and limestone, which are not in stock and which the guilds need to collect to open this army slot. The buttons next to the required goods indicate the availability of goods at the disposal of the player: in this case, the player has 10 iron, or he can pay for the missing goods with diamonds. Only when all the goods in sufficient quantity will be available, the slot will be open.
The release of the sector by your guild for any reason will return the cost of the goods spent to the exempted sector back to the guild warehouse.
The treasury of the guild will allow its players to bring goods directly to the warehouse in any quantity, without the need to directly go to the army control window. This action is available from the guild window, on an additional tab. To select the desired product, select it in the drop-down menu and specify the quantity of the goods to be transferred, then click the "deposit" button located to the right of this menu.
Forge of Empires: Guild Battlefields
What are guild battlefields? Every 14 days, guilds turn into a battlefield that lasts 11 days. These guilds fight for the provinces on the map as they generate victory points to become the best guild on the battlefield. Depending on the performance of your guild, it must move up or down in the league system, so moving up also means that the battlefields will become even more difficult as your guild will face more competitive rivals as it grows.
How can I access the guild battle fields? As with other Forge of Empires features, access to the guild battle fields will appear in your city. Once you become a member of the guild and open Military Tactics technology in the technology tree, you will gain access to this feature. After unlocking, you will see a new structure on the outskirts of your city, next to your access point to the Cultural settlements. Click on the Guild Battlefield building to unlock the exciting new PvP feature!
How can I take part in the battlefields? Each season, the PBG will be a card with 5-8 guilds that will fight each other for 11 consecutive days. The map consists of a fixed number of provinces. Each guild will be initially located at the edges with its first province, which will be your headquarters (distribution on the map should provide the most fair distance between the guilds). These main provinces, in turn, cannot be conquered by other guilds.
After the end of each PBG season, the guilds will have a 3-day break to relax, collect their rewards and prepare for the next season. The guild account will be updated and all its members will see if they have improved their progress in the League System or have gone down.
Placement of the Flag to begin the siege. Guilds can only attack provinces that are adjacent to one of their own, and as soon as the guild begins to attack a neighboring province, a "siege flag" will be displayed in the target province. Each action of the guild with the greatest progress will increase the strength of the flag until it gains full strength and the besieged province is captured:
Subsequently, the conquered province will be in a state of "blocking" for 4 hours, which means that no guild can advance further with its conquest flag in this province. Only the guild flag with the most progress will be displayed in the province, but other guilds besieging this province will be marked with small colored shields next to the flag. In addition, you can always check the detailed list of guilds, as well as their progress, by clicking on the province.
To contribute to the conquest of a province, any member of the guild can click on that province to open its window. Two capture options will be available there: a combat attack and negotiations. The composition of the enemy troops for the battle option, as well as the cost of the negotiation option will depend on the era of the attacking player.
At the same time, negotiations provide more than one point of progress, since more time and resources are required to complete them. Each individual guild member will accumulate "attrition" for each successful battle or negotiation. It will increase by one level each time when one of these actions is successfully completed. The higher the depletion, the tougher the fights / negotiations.
As mentioned above, the newly captured province will be blocked for four hours, which will give the new owner time to get victory points or build sector buildings. During a block, no other guild can advance its conquest flag further in this blocked province.
Provincial Defense. There are no means to directly protect the acquired provinces. The only way to protect the provinces of your guild is to try to capture the provinces of the attacking guild before they take yours. In this case, if the warring guild loses all the neighboring provinces, they also lose all their successes in relation to your province.
List of Leaders. At any time, guilds see the number of victory points at the top of the Battlefield window. If you click on it, the leaderboard will display all the participating guilds of the current group of battle fields, which will list the ratings, the names of the guilds, the number of provinces that they own, the current hourly increase in victory points, the total number of victory points and a preview of the award for this place in rating. Switching the tabs to "Member Activity", you can see the participants of your own guild and their contribution in the current season of the PBG:
Victory Points. Victory Points are used to measure and count points for the current battlefield, so they are reset every time you enter a new round. Once every hour, each province in which the guild is located brings victory points. The areas closer to the center of the map will have the most victory points, so try to get them!
Exhaustion. Whenever a player successfully completes a battle or negotiation (in the context of a guild battlefield), he receives attrition. This is a percentage value that directly affects the strengthening (attack and defense) of the defending armies and the level of difficulty in negotiations that the player will encounter.
Thus, at some point, conducting attacks or negotiations will become impossible, as the defending armies become too strong, and the negotiations become too complicated or too expensive. However, depletion is reset to 0% every day (midnight server time).
League system. To ensure that there are no significant differences between the participating guilds on each map of the Battlefield, the game will have a League System consisting of five different categories of leagues: Copper, Silver, Silver, Platinum and Diamond. Newly arrived guilds will be stationed in the Copper League.
However, when a function appears, each existing guild will be given an initial distribution in the league. This should be calculated according to average activity and the number of guild members. The goal is to run the function with more suitable opponents, while your actual results in the function will reflect your true league title in a few seasons.
Buildings of the province. On a battlefield map, each province can have from 0 to 3 slots on which to build buildings. Anyone can donate goods to the guild’s treasury to help pay expenses, but only players with special rights in the guild (the "battlefield builder") can build buildings in the provinces belonging to their guild. Each "founder" and "leader" of a guild will automatically receive this role.
Only the epochs represented in the guild will determine the value of buildings in the province (goods from the treasury). These buildings have a construction time, and you can cancel or remove a structure at any time to make room for another building. In this case, the spent resources are not returned to the treasury. When a province is conquered by another guild, each building (including the one under construction) can be destroyed by 50%, and the rest will win against the new owner. There are 9 different strategic buildings available, so make sure you choose them wisely.
- Outpost and fortress. These buildings increase the amount of achievements your enemies need to conquer your province.
- Imitations and traps. If your enemies fight / negotiate in the province with one of these buildings, there is a chance that they will suffer twice as much as they are depleted.
- Watchtower and Siege Camp. If members of their own guilds attack provinces adjacent to that province, they have a chance not to increase their level of exhaustion.
- Banner and statue. This province brings more victory points.
- Palace. This province brings more victory points, and the enemy guilds will need more effort to win.
Awards. You can get instant, temporary and permanent rewards on the battlefield. There is a chance to get CO, units, attack power, goods, diamonds and fragments for the Statue of Honor after each battle or negotiation. The size of these rewards depends on your league! Your guild must gain temporary prestige points according to its current league, but keep in mind that you can also lose them if you fall in the league.
Finally, the game also has constant rewards for you and your guild: guilds can get the influence of the guild according to their location on the battlefield (the quantity also depends on the league), and at the same time you can get fragments for the Statue of Honor selection set.
50% of the time, an instant reward will be one piece of the kit for choosing a statue of honor.
Guild Awards. When the battlefield ends, guilds can receive various rewards, which depend on the location:
- Prestige in accordance with the current league and location;
- Guild influence according to location on the battlefield;
- Fragments of the Statue of Honor.
Individual rewards. In addition to the rewards for your guild, there are also individual rewards for your contribution: there is a chance to win CO, Goods, as well as Units, attack power and even Diamonds.
Forge of Empires: Guild Expedition
What are Guild Expeditions? Guild Expeditions is a cross-platform collective function where you and your guild associates make their way through a series of battles to win rewards and influence for the guild. Expeditions begin automatically every Tuesday and continue for 6 days (then they begin again after a one-day pause, just like PvP tournaments).
Each player who is a member of the guild and who reached the Iron Age at the time the expedition begins, can contribute to the success of his guild during the current expedition (this means that if you join or create a new guild, you need to wait for the next expedition to begin , and this happens every Tuesday).
Expedition Map. The map of the Expedition is mostly covered in fog: it will become clearer as you move along the "path of discovery." The map that you can see, unlike the Guards Guards card, is visible only to you - each member of the guild sees his own copy of the map that he can examine. You have time until the end of the current expedition to go through it. What is common to all members of the guild is a menu of goals and progress of the guild expedition, which you can find right at the top of the screen (or at the bottom if you are playing using a mobile application).
You can contribute to progress by overcoming obstacles that you encounter. The current obstacle is indicated by a yellow arrow. When you click on it, you will fall into battle with the invaders who defend this obstacle (a peaceful path of passing obstacles will also be implemented in the near future).
The era of the troops and the overall complexity of the opponents depends on your own development in the tree of sciences. Some obstacles will be more difficult to pass than others (especially those located in larger obstacles), and sometimes they can even contain two waves of battles. To see your own contribution and that of other members of the guild, click on the progress bar:
Regardless of the outcome of each battle, you will help fill out the progress indicator of the guild expedition (obviously, if you lose, it will not be so much). The purpose of the guild depends on the number and epochs of the guild members (remember: they are fixed at the start of the Expedition and will not change even if you accept or lose members of the guild during the week) and is common for all members of the guild.
Attempts. The number of consecutive attempts to overcome obstacles is limited to 8, and each time you start a battle, one point of attempt is removed. You can see how many attempts you have left in the attempts bar:
When you spend them, you can either wait for their recovery (you get 1 per hour) or buy them. Unlike Strategic Points, attempts cannot be bought with coins, but can be purchased with medals (or diamonds if you do not have a single medal). First attempts will be very cheap, and then the price for each attempt will rise. At the end of the expedition, the price will be reset so that you can start each week with a starting price. The influence for your guild will be accrued every day when a daily recalculation occurs.
Attack. As mentioned earlier, you can go through the provinces in two ways - to capture or negotiate. The capture should already be familiar to you, because it is the same in the game (be it the Map of the Continent, PvP Tournaments or Guild Wars). The era of the troops and, in general, the complexity of the provinces depends on your progress in the research menu when the expedition begins. You will also encounter two waves of troops, or with reinforced attack / defense forces depending on your era.
Conversation. When you first click the Negotiation button, you will see five locals. Each of them requires a certain resource from you, but they will not tell you which resource! You can choose a product and offer them:
When you select the resources, you can click Negotiations (in this case, one attempt will be taken away from you). Remember that you give resources to locals even in the event of an unsuccessful combination. Locals will show you their feedback on your proposal, which is as follows:
- True - the offer is accepted. This resource, perhaps, but not necessarily, wants to get another resident.
- Invalid character - this character does not need this resource. But some of the remaining residents will need a resource.
- False - no one needs the proposed resource. Therefore, it will be grayed out when you begin the next stage of negotiations.
You may have noticed that the negotiation window has a limited number of attempts, because residents want you to provide them with the necessary resources for 3 attempts. Each time you select five resources and click "Negotiations" you will spend 1 attempt:
As soon as you spend 3 attempts, you can continue only with the help of diamonds or giving up and returning later. If you decide to give up and come back later, the resource package will remain the same, but the resource requirements of local residents will change at random.
Level of difficulty. The card can be passed not once, but three times a week! To conquer the map again, you must unlock higher difficulty levels (level II, III, and IV). Click on a star to open an overview of difficulty levels:
As you can see, the default difficulty is level I and it is available for free. In order to unlock higher difficulty levels, one of the guild leaders must pay goods from the guild treasury (so that everyone can donate goods, but their spending is limited). The cost of unlocking difficulty II depends on the era and number of members of your guild.
The cost of unlocking difficulty levels in Guild Expeditions. The total cost of unlocking difficulty levels depends on the era and number of members of your guild:
Temple of Relics. The Temple of Relics is based on ancient wisdom that you learned during your Guild Expedition. It contains knowledge of rare relics that you can discover by exploring a map of expeditions. The Temple of Relics contains a passive bonus called Hunt for Relics.
The Temple of Relics generates a chance for a hidden reward - relics on the map of the Guild Expedition after passing another obstacle. When the relic has fallen, you will see an icon in the notification panel on the side of the screen. Then you must look at the map of the expedition and find the relic! When you find it on the map, click on it and get its contents!
Depending on the rarity of the relics, there can be anything from ordinary ones, such as coins and resources (but also including: Attempts, Expedition Points and Influence for the guild) to precious bonus buildings from different events! Relics can also appear in areas that are still under the "fog of war," which means you may need to move further on the map to get them.
Keep in mind that relics that were not collected will disappear when you switch to a different difficulty level or when the current expedition ends. There are three types of relics: ordinary, unusual and rare. According to their names, the chance of falling out of ordinary ones is greater than that of unusual ones. The chance of a rare relic falling is small.
Forge of Empires: Cultural Settlements
What are cultural settlements? One of the main ideas behind cultural settlements is to study the new cultures of the past humanity in different centuries of Forge of Empires. Since the main game has already gone beyond those times, a new way has been devised to explore and experience the rich culture of history.
These villages are separated from your main city and decorated thematically, depending on the culture that the player has chosen. Only one cultural settlement can be active at a time. Cultural settlements can also be reproduced several times.
How can I access cultural settlements? Access to the Cultural Settlements is opened using the Iron Age technology "Plow". By unlocking this technology, you will find a boat near your city that will take you to your new settlement.
When you click on the boat, you will see all the available cultures that require your participation. Choose your favorite culture and click "Start" to set sail! So far, the following cultures are available to you where you can help. Click on one of them to go to the description of the culture:
As soon as your boat arrives at your destination, you will be presented with a new map that applies only to the Cultural Settlement! It is important to note that, unlike conventional extensions that were discovered by conquest, including even those that were bought for diamonds, they are discarded.
Extensions within your main city remain unchanged. Each culture has its own unique products, which are used as a currency when creating a settlement. These products are used to unlock new buildings and extensions.
Obstacles. But building a village is not as easy as you think! There are obstacles in your settlement, fixed restrictions that block part of the city grid, making it difficult to build your settlement. Buildings should be located around obstacles, so try to develop a better construction plan. With each new settlement, obstacles change their location.
Awards. Playing in Cultural Settlements gives you the opportunity to receive fantastic rewards. Not only will each individual quest offer their own rewards, but you will also receive some amazing bonus items to help you build your settlement. Each culture offers its own unique rewards depending on the culture from which you receive them. Check information about each culture and what they offer.
Emissaries. Sometimes, upon completion of the Cultural Settlement, you unlock the Emissaries. Emissaries are the guests of honor from your settlement who settle in the city hall of your main city. If they are placed in your town hall, they will provide special bonuses. These bonuses are awarded every day and you can get them by collecting gold in the town hall.
Each Emissary gives his own unique bonus. In the example below, you can see that the Emissaries give you rewards such as strategic points, medals, or even a unit of your current era! By unlocking your first Emissary, you will also unlock your first slot for him. As you complete the tasks in the Viking Cultural Settlement, more and more slots will be available to you, however, you can buy additional slots for diamonds if you want to. Not every new unlocked Emissary also unlocks a slot, so choose wisely!

The cultural settlement of ancient Egypt
Egyptians. Your goal is to help Queen Nefertiti build a thriving metropolis worthy of the attention of the gods from a modest town! Like Viking or Feudal Japan settlements, you need to collect resources and build a city using settlement goods in the process. However, the Egyptian Cultural Settlement is significantly different from them! The gods are unhappy with the neighboring cities of heretics and have sent down the task for you: to demonstrate the power of their faith by defeating them in battle.
Goods and resources of the Settlement. In the Egyptian Settlement, you need to collect resources to move on. Resources will be new, and if you collect enough of them, you can open new buildings for the Settlement or expansion.
- Egyptians. They play the same role as the population in the main city. Needed for the construction of some buildings.

Buildings Settlement. During your collaboration with Nefertiti, you will use promotions to unlock the buildings of the Village. With each case of a new settlement, the obstacles will be rearranged, adding an additional level of complexity to the organization of the settlement.
Obstacles can now be removed from your settlement: use pickaxes! Pickaxes can be found either by completing an Egyptian series of quests, or bought for diamonds. As soon as you have a pick, open the construction mode and click on the obstacle that you want to remove, then select whether you want to use diamonds to remove or a pick from your stock received for completing tasks. Be careful, however, a limited number of picks are available in the quest series, both for purchase and for free.
Below are a few examples of how the obstacles in the settlements look:

Emissaries of Egypt. The Egyptian Cultural Settlement offers 4 emissaries as rewards for its completion:
- Euclid of Alexandria - 1 SD;
- Mentuhotep - resources (quantity depends on the era);
- Chemetre - 3 products (of your era);
- Maatkara Mutemhat - 2 combat units (of your era).
Forge of Empires: Friends Tavern
What is a tavern? If you just started playing, you will see ruins along the river north of your city. After you open the Construction technology in the Bronze Age, you will have access to a functional building - the Friends Tavern. Your tavern will be with its interior - it is a small table and several chairs. All your gaming friends can visit your Tavern and sit on these chairs if they are not busy. When at least one chair is occupied, you will have the opportunity to collect Silver coins and clear the table, freeing up space for new friends.
With the help of these Silver coins you can activate various useful enhancements for your city or customize the appearance of the Tavern to not only make it more attractive, but also increase your silver income. You can visit each friend’s tavern once a day. This can be easily done using the social panel - just open the list of friends and you will find a button to visit their Tavern (in the mobile version of the game you will need to click on the player’s avatar for this option).
In order to be able to take a chair in the tavern of your new friend, you must wait 24 hours from the beginning of your friendship. At the same time, so that this restriction does not affect new players, it will come into force only after you remove 20 people from the list of friends and will always continue to act. The tavern will have four types of rendering, depending on which era you are in.
Hall of the Tavern. Your tavern appears with a small table with 4 chairs, but only 3 chairs are unlocked. The first chair gives 50 silver coins, and then the amount of silver increases by +2 for each next chair. This means that when you collect income from the table at which several players are sitting, you will receive more silver coins.
Keep in mind that if all your chairs are occupied, then other friends cannot visit your Tavern. As already mentioned, you will find various improvements for the Tavern that you can purchase with silver coins (or diamonds if you do not have silver - the price in diamonds is 1/2 of the cost of silver). Keep in mind:
- Improving the Tray will give an extra% tavern silver when friends sit at your table in the tavern;
- Improving the Tablecloth gives a chance to a friend who has sat at your table to find a Strategic Point;
- Improving the floor will increase the number of coins you can find by sitting at a table with a friend in the Tavern.
Here is a brief overview of these improvements. As with other improvements, if there is not enough silver, then you can pay with diamonds for the purchase: this is half the price that is indicated for silver coins.
You must unlock these improvements in a linear fashion: one by one. It will not work, for example, to jump straight from the table without a tablecloth to Burgunskaya. Once you unlock an improvement, you can use it whenever you want!
Shop tavern. For silver coins, you can activate various enhancements that are offered in the Tavern store - increasing the extraction of coins and resources, a more favorable exchange rate of goods with merchants in the market, a city shield that will protect you from aggressive neighbors, and much more! These amplifications are temporary, each of which has a certain duration.
At any given time, you can only activate one gain per silver coin. You can also open another slot that will allow you to have two active power-ups at any time at a price of 50 diamonds. Some of these power-ups will only be available after you purchase a certain number of chairs in your Tavern.
Resource Enhancements. As you already understood from the name, the first group of power-ups are power-ups that affect your resources in the game. These bonuses will work as a complement to any existing bonuses that you already have (for example, if you have 100% coin inflow from St. Mark’s Cathedral, and 20% coin inflow from the Tavern, you will receive a total of + 120% coins until the Tavern Strengthening Bonus expires).
Military reinforcements. Military power-ups will give bonuses to your army, as well as bonuses from the Great Buildings. When you activate Attack Amplification, the effect will work regardless of where you carry out the attack (PvP, Guild Wars, Guild Expeditions or on the Continent Map). Enhanced defense will have an effect on the cover army in your city.
Strengthening Time. These boosts will help speed up some features in the game! After you activate Strengthening the construction, the construction of new buildings will be completed faster. Faster hiring will make hiring military units from military buildings faster (however, this boost will not extend to Alcatraz).
Forge of Empires: Harbor
What is a harbor? As soon as you discover the first technology of the Arctic future, you will be able to see the construction site of the harbor. She will appear on a small island to the left of your city. In order for the construction site to become a haven and start working, you need to open the Prometheus Mining technology. In the Harbor, you can choose a team to send it on a trip with a ship and get a special resource - promethium. Promethium will be necessary for you to further study technology.
It is worth noting that you will not be able to trade this resource with other players and you will not be able to plunder someone else’s Harbor and get promethium there yourself. To select crew members, you will need to pay 25 Arctic Future products. All crew members have various strengths and weaknesses that will help to achieve various effects, such as additional promethium, acceleration of travel time, different levels of damage to the ship in transit, etc.
In the picture above you can see statistics for your next trip (-15% damage, 50 Prometheus, 1 day ship travel). Standard damage to the vessel is 15% per trip, although it may be higher or lower depending on the crew you have chosen. Whenever your ship returns from travel, you can switch to the "Repair" tab in the harbor, and if your ship has reached the damage threshold, you can recover it using the goods. There are several damage thresholds and the more damage your ship received, the less promethium it will return, and the travel time will be longer.
If you decide not to repair your ship, you will still get promethium, but a very small amount, and the trip will last a very long time.
Harbor Improvements. The Harbor itself may improve over time as you unlock new explorations. The second level for your Harbor appears with exploration of the Arctic Stations. This will improve the statistics of your trips by increasing the amount of promethium (57 instead of 50) and reducing the travel time (21 hours instead of 24). In addition, exploring the Arctic Station will also give you the opportunity to improve your crew.
Each time a crew member travels, they receive a certain amount of experience points. After the necessary amount of experience is achieved, and you pay for raising the level of goods of the Arctic Future, they will be one level higher! Naturally, the higher the level, the better the results of their work. But the higher the level you want to get, the more experience points you need for each crew member.
Forge of Empires: Antiques and Trade
Who is an antique dealer? Antiquarian seeks to help players use items in their inventory that collect dust from past centuries! He loves to collect artifacts from the history of Forge and will pay a lot of money for the rarest finds!
How can I access an antique dealer? Like the Tavern, an antique dealer will appear in ruins in your city if you haven’t unlocked it. When you unlock the Economy technology in the technology tree, you will get access to this feature. After unlocking you will see on the outskirts of your city, next to the tavern of friends, you will see several tents that house the seller of antiques and his auction house. Click on an antique dealer to discover the exciting world of an auction house!
How does an antique dealer work? Antiquary manages his own Auction House, and he will pay pretty well for unnecessary inventory items! Exchange them, bid against other players and get access to amazing and exclusive rewards!
Exchange of unnecessary items
Select unnecessary items from your inventory and offer them to an antique dealer in exchange for trading coins that you can use in his store. More valuable items will also give you a chance to earn rare and coveted gems. You can increase profits by spending more time exchanging with antique dealers, or accept lower income to quickly earn your trading coins and gems! Choose 2, 8 or 24 hours to give your items back. You can also increase your profit with diamonds!
- Trading coins are the currency that you can earn by giving items back to an antique dealer’s store. These coins can be used to make purchases in his store or even to bid at one of his exclusive auctions! Trading coins can be purchased for diamonds;
- Gemstones are the currency that you can earn by giving away more valuable and rare items in an antiquarian store. Gemstones can be used to shop at his store. Gems cannot be used at Auctions, nor can they be bought for diamonds.
To start a sale, click on the antique dealer’s tent and then click on the hand icon on the right side of the screen. Click the plus sign at the top to select the item you want to sell. By selling, you can unlock more slots, which means that the more you use this feature, the more effective your trading will be!
After you have selected which item you want to sell, select the time of sale that you want to use, and then click Exchange. The estimated value for trading coins and precious stones can be seen on the right side of the window before starting the barter process. Once you begin the process, your items will be removed from your inventory. If you change your mind, you can click Cancel until the timer expires! This will return items to your inventory, so don’t worry, you won’t lose anything (except time) if you change your mind.
If you want to speed up the process, you can instantly complete the sale with diamonds! When the timer works, a timer will appear on the antique in your city to help you keep track of its progress! When the process is completed, click the "Collect" button to get your Trading Coins and Gems!
Finally, you will notice in your inventory that for any items available for exchange, the delete button will be replaced with a button that will directly lead you to the seller of antiques. This should ensure that you do not accidentally delete valuable items that you can exchange. Of course, the delete button still exists for items that cannot be exchanged through antiquaries, such as CO packages or fragments!
For the purchase! So, you exchanged the Face of the Ancients for trading coins. Now what? The antique dealer has an offer for you. Click on a building in your city to see what it offers. Some items can only be purchased with trading coins, while gems are also required for more valuable items. Can’t see anything you like? The store is regularly updated, so be sure to check back and don’t miss what you like. If you are looking for something specific, you can also instantly upgrade your store for diamonds.
What if you see what you really want, but you don’t have enough trading coins? Do not be afraid, you can buy additional trading coins for diamonds. However, precious stones can only be obtained by parting with your rare inventory items, and cannot be purchased for diamonds.
Sold at a high price! Antiquarian, as a connoisseur of all Forge items, also offers you the opportunity to win some interesting as well as exclusive items by bidding on your auction. Bets can only be made with trading coins, and you are betting against other players! If you interrupt, your trading coins will be returned to your stock so that you can spend them on another bet or other items if you decide that the price is too high.
The player with the highest bid at the end of the auction wins the item. In addition, if you bid within the last 30 seconds of the auction, the timer will be reset to 30 seconds, which will give others the opportunity to make a better offer for the Dealer, so do not forget to stay until the last second if you want to make sure that you are a winner!
Unique Antiquarian Items
You can also buy items from Antiquar that cannot be obtained anywhere else. They can only be purchased from Antiquar: in his Store or at Auction.
Sanctuary of Knowledge Improvement Kit. The Sanctuary of Knowledge upgrade kit will improve your Sanctuary of Knowledge, and as a result you will receive the Sanctuary of Knowledge - lvl. 2! After improvement, the building will produce even more Coins, and if it is motivated, then 2 CO.
Exhibition selection set. The Exhibition selection set can also be obtained only from Antiquaries. It allows you to either put up a Level 1 Exhibition in the city, or increase the level of a building using the Improvement Kit!
When using the Exhibition Selection Kit, a window will open where you can choose to build a new Level 1 Exhibition ("Build" button) or improve one of the existing ones in the city ("Improve" button).
The exhibition is a special 4: 4 building that can be upgraded to level 8! It will give the city Population, Happiness and Coins, and if you motivate it, then during the collection you will also receive Resources, 25 Goods and 10 Strategic Points!
What is trade? You need all kinds of products for successful development at Forge of Empires. Despite the fact that you have access to the production of all types of goods, when you open the corresponding buildings, producing everything in a row is not effective, since it requires a lot of space and population in the city. The trade function allows you to exchange goods that you produce efficiently for missing goods.
Who can I trade with? You can trade at a not very favorable rate with a trader or at a better rate with your neighbors. If you join the guild, it will greatly simplify the trade. Also, trading with guild members is not taxed at 1 SO for 1 exchange.
Create an offer. Creating an offer on the market is simple. In the trading menu there is a tab "Create offer". Enter the desired quantity of goods that you require, select the goods below and enter the desired amount of goods that you offer in return and click "Create offer". You will not know when your offer has been accepted, so creating a profitable exchange rate will increase your chances of exchanging goods.
Cancel offer. If you, for any reason, want to cancel the posted offer, you can do this in the "My offers" tab. By clicking on the tab, click on the button located on the right side of your offer to cancel the transaction.
Search for offers. The store usually has a lot of offers that you can see by going to the "Trade" menu. They are sorted according to the benefits of the offer, where the most advantageous offers are at the top of the list. If you do not want to search for the resource you need among the many offers, use the filters located at the top of the menu: you can choose which particular product you need, there are also two checkmarks that filter out the merchant’s offers, offers from players outside your guild, and also a checkmark that displays only the offers available to you.
Acceptance of the offer. If you find a suitable offer, you can accept it by clicking on the button located to the right of the offer. If you are in the same guild with a player, the button will look like a hammer and shield, if not, there will only be a hammer. If the button is orange, it means that you have the necessary number of products to exchange. If you click on such a button, a menu will appear that will show you the terms of the transaction before accepting.
Accepting offers from a player who is not a member of the guild, it will be taxed at 1 SO for one transaction. However, do not reject profitable offers - Strategic Points are an easily accessible currency, and it is much more profitable to get the goods you need than to save a bit of CO. Exchanging with players with an extremely disadvantageous course is definitely not worth the waste of CO.
Can’t find what you’re looking for? If you cannot find what you need in the Market, the best way to ask other players for help is that they can have the product you need. Use the chat, forum, or ask guild members!
Forge of Empires: Messaging and Chat
Messages In a multiplayer game, communication is the key. You can use the messaging system to send and receive messages, or chat with others using the chat feature. But please keep in mind that communication with other players should take place in a friendly tone. Make sure that you do not insult anyone and do no harm to anyone.
Message Center Overview. When playing in the application on a mobile device, you can access the Message Center from the buttons on the right side.
In the browser version of the game you can find the Message Center among the buttons of the game menu, in the lower left corner, by clicking on the button with the image of the envelope.
If you receive a new message, the icon will blink, notifying you that you have a new, unread message. After you open the Message Center, you can already see the messages you received.
Types of messages. There are 3 types of messages:
- Messages from the guild. This branch has a flag and the name of your guild, it is always located at the top of the Message Center. It is always automatically updated including new members of the guild, as well as excluding players who are no longer part of the guild.
- Group messages. Any messages between three or more players are group messages. They will be displayed with the image of the group and also have the specified group message name.
- Private messages. These are messages between you and another player. They have an image of a player’s icon and the name indicates the name of the interlocutor.
In addition, every time you have messages where all participants left the dialogue, such a message will be displayed with a white flag icon and the title will say "Cancel message". You can leave the dialogue by clicking on the red basket icon. Please note that as soon as you leave the dialogue, you will no longer receive any messages from this dialogue. In the upper left corner you will see a small button. By clicking on it you will be able to mark all messages as read or leave all dialogs.
Create messages. In order to send a message to another player, you need to select the "Create Message" tab in the Message Center.
Here you will have the opportunity to enter the names of other players. As soon as you start typing a name, you will see a drop-down list of players from your neighbors, players from your guild or friends that match these names. Clicking on the "Add" button will add them as the recipient of your message.
If you have Herald rights your guild can grant you, you will also have the Add All Guild Members button. As soon as you add at least 2 players to the dialogue, you will have the opportunity to enter a name for the group message. Similarly, this works in the game’s mobile application. Just switch to the "Create Message" tab after you enter the message center.
The main difference here is that you need to click on the "Add Recipients" button to select which players you want to send a message to.
You can see a drop-down menu that allows you to switch between different groups of players with whom you are associated. Then just scroll down until you find the one you want to send a message to, and then check the box next to the name of this player. If you don’t want to scroll through the list, you can simply start typing the player’s name in the upper field for a faster search. You can select multiple players to create a group message. Just click on the "Add Selected" button after you have checked the boxes next to everyone to whom you want to send a message.
Message Functions. As you already understood, there are different situations when you can interact with a player directly from messages. You can do this very simply:
When you click on the player’s icon in the messages, you will find different options for interacting with this player:
- Visit his city;
- Add him as a friend;
- Write a personal message directly to him;
- Ignore what makes it impossible for each of you to send messages to each other. In order to undo this, you can click on the player and select "Remove Ignore"
- A complaint. If you think that the player is violating the rules of the game, you can send a complaint to the moderators.
In the upper left corner you will again find a small button. When you click on it, you can leave the dialogue, or find out more detailed information about the dialogue, such as the list of participants, or return to the main window of the Message Center.
Chat Chat is not connected to the Message Center, it is located in the upper right corner of the game screen. Currently, chat is only available in the browser version of the game. At the bottom of the chat window there are two buttons - "Hide chat" and "Zoom", which will allow you to hide the chat window, either minimize the chat window or expand it.
Using chat, you can live chat with other players. There are 3 tabs that you will find in the upper left corner of the chat that correspond to three different chats:
- Global chat. Includes all players in your game world;
- Guild Chat. This chat is exclusively for players in your guild;
- Chat with neighbors. This chat is for chatting with your neighbors.
If you click on the name of the player in the chat, you will see some possibilities:
- Complaint - in order to report a violation of the rules to moderators;
- Visit - in order to visit the player’s city;
- Add to friends ;
- Ignore . After you select "Ignore", you will no longer see messages from this player in the chat;
- Whisper . By opening a whisper, you will create a private chat between you and this player.
Guild Forum. You also have the opportunity to create topics and participate in discussions in your own Guild Forum. The Guild Forum is currently only available for the browser version of the game. Access to it is possible from the main menu. In the drop-down list of the "Players" button, you need to select the third button with the image of the shield and the discussion icon.
Guild Forum is available only to members of the guild. You also have the opportunity to create a forum zone in conjunction with another guild. In addition, you can create hidden areas of the forum, which will be visible only to members of the guild and who have the rights of "Trusted". This is the perfect meeting place for guild founders and leaders!
Plus, you have the opportunity to create polls on a topic whose decision you want to take by voting. Everyone in the guild can create new topics on the guild forum and respond to messages, but only members of the guild with the "Moderator" rights have the opportunity to close topics, create new sections of the forum, change the status of the topic from "Normal" to "Hidden" and so on. The rights of the "Moderator" are always held by Guild Leaders and Guild Founders.
On the game forum, you can find a large number of useful tips and guides on the game, as well as various discussions. In order to get into it in the browser version of the game, you need to click on the "Players" button and, in the drop-down menu, click on the "Open Forum" button (this is the last, fourth button in the "Players" drop-down menu)
Forge of Empires: Ratings
There are several ratings in Forge of Empires. To open the rating, you need to use the following button:
The rating window is as follows:
The basics. Your rating points consist of:
- Combat points. All battle points (for all battles) are counted in the rating. In addition, all current battle points that you receive will be saved.
- Spent goods. Whenever you spend a product (in the technology tree, on the construction of the Great Buildings, in negotiations, and so on), its points will be counted in your rating. The one exception is trade. To avoid abuse, the goods you sell and buy are not counted in the rating. The value of a product differs depending on its era. The higher the era, the higher the cost.
- Points for the building. All buildings in the game have a certain amount of points, which are calculated based on their size, era and type of building (event and premium buildings are valued slightly higher than ordinary, standard buildings).
The contribution to the rating of the Great Building will consist of 3 parts:
- The basic value of a building is the value of an ordinary building of the same era and the same size.
- The value of the goods that you need to spend to build it initially.
- The value of the Strategic Points that were invested in it in order to raise something of the current level (summarized).
Battle points. The number of rating points that you get from the battle can be calculated by the formula: Received battle points / 50. All your battles are taken into account. There are no exceptions. Of course, if you lose the battle, then you will not get any rating points, as well as combat points.
Used goods. Goods have different meanings depending on the era to which they belong. The higher the era, the more valuable the product. Each product has a base value. Processed goods have a basic value + the value of the goods used in its production. Similarly, re-processed goods have their basic value + the value of the goods used in its production. Values of goods by era you can see below:
- Bronze Age - 2.5;
- Iron Age - 3;
- Early Middle Ages - 3.5;
- High Middle Ages - 4;
- Late Middle Ages - 4.5;
- Colonial Period - 5;
- Industrial Age - 5.5;
- Era of Progressivism - 6;
- Age of Modern - 11.5;
- Postmodern Age - 12.5;
- The Newest Time is 13.5;
- Tomorrow - 19;
- The future is 21;
- Arctic future - 22.5;
- Promethium - 42;
- Ocean Future - 29;
- Orihalk - 42;
- Virtual Future - 33.
The base value starts at 2.5 in the Bronze Age and increases by 0.5 with each era. Semi-finished products appeared in the Age of Modernity, so the value of the corresponding product is added to the base value of the goods of the era (for example, for the Age of Modernity this is the basic value of the Age of Modernity, which is 6.5 + the base value of the Colonial Age is 5, in total the total value is 11.5) . In the era of Tomorrow, semi-finished products are previously processed goods And, by analogy, the basic value of the goods of Tomorrow is 8 + the cost of the processed goods of the Age of Modernity 11.5 gives a total of 19.5).
Glasses of buildings. When a building is located in a city, its score value is added to the rating. When it is deleted, this value is subtracted from the rating. The method for calculating points is different for large buildings and for all other buildings in the city.
City buildings. Rating points for each building are calculated as follows: Width * Length * Type of construction * Age of the Building.
Type of construction. For most buildings, this ratio is 1. For diamonds and event buildings, this value is 2 (a building cannot be both premium and event). The Town Hall has the highest coefficient, which is 3. Basically, this means that premium buildings and event buildings cost twice as much as ordinary buildings of the same era. Example: A cottage from the Iron Age costs 16 points, since it occupies an area of 2 by 2, this is a common type of building of the Iron Age. Thus, in accordance with the formula: Width * Length * Type of construction * Building Age = 2 * 2 * 1 * 4 = 16.
Great Buildings. Great Buildings are calculated differently than other buildings in the game. The formula is as follows: The value of an ordinary city building of the same era and size + the cost of goods that are necessary for its foundation + the cost of Strategic Points needed to reach the current level. Example: the construction of the Statue of Zeus will be worth 390 points, as:
- The value of an ordinary city building of the same age and size is 3 * 2 * 1 * 2.5 = 15;
- The cost of goods in order to lay the foundation of the Statue of Zeus is 150 * 2.5 = 375;
- The value of the Strategic Points required to reach the current level 0, since no Strategic Points have been spent so far.
As soon as your Statue of Zeus reaches level 1, its value will be increased by 600 points, since reaching level 1 requires 40 Strategic points and 1 Strategic point costs 15 rating points.
Remember that all these points are removed when the Great Building is removed. This means that points for goods that are spent on the foundation of the Great Building will also be deleted when you remove the Great Building.
"Inaccurate" math. It may happen that the number of points you have is not an integer. For example: if you already have 100 rating points, and you donated 3 tires to the treasury of your guild, the total should be 116.5 rating points. Rubber is an industrial product. It costs 5.5 points, so your donation costs 3 * 5.5 = 16.5. Even if you have 116.5 rating points, the game will still show 116.
The reason for this is that the developers decided to simply turn off the fractional parts of the rating when displaying, since it is technically easier than doing mathematically correct rounding (plus this does not use the server’s power and is much less error prone). Of course, the exact number is still stored in the database, so your 0.5 points are not lost, and as soon as you get the next 0.5 points, it will be displayed correctly.
Rating of medals
Medals are a very useful resource and therefore they have a special place in the ranking. You can use them to get more expansions, to gain attempts on the Guild Expedition, and also for war on the "All Epochs" map in Guild Wars. The rating of medals is as follows:
When you select the Medals tab in the rating window, it will show you your current position, guild, the total number of medals that you have had during the entire game of Forge of Empires and the number of battles that you spent. You can get medals as follows:
- Participate in the Age Tower Tournaments;
- During events;
- In some Great Buildings (such as the Colosseum or the Statue of Gaia);
- In special buildings (such as Victory Tower);
- By investing Strategic Points in the Great Buildings of other players and taking prizes in them.
Forge of Empires: Frequently Asked Questions about the game
How do I get a population? Your population increases with the construction of residential buildings. If there is not enough free space in the city, you can explore something new, for example, new Residential buildings, and replace the old ones.
My townspeople are unhappy. What I should do? Build more public buildings and decorations - they increase the happiness of your people.
Can I put buildings in my inventory? Unfortunately, you cannot move buildings that you do not need in your city inventory. However, the buildings that you received as a reward during special events will be stored in your inventory until you place them in your city.
Can I rotate buildings? No, you cannot turn buildings. Rearrangement in the city is a puzzle - part of the game. Such a task should not be too simple.
How can I visit the cities of other players? You can visit the cities of other players by simply clicking on their portraits, which you can see on the social panel at the bottom of the screen.
Can I change the neighbors? They constantly rob me. Neighbors join automatically every two weeks, you cannot change your neighbors. Sometimes it can be difficult to fight with stronger opponents. But remember: the fact that they have more points does not necessarily mean that they are stronger. Try to fight them, or at least make sure that they can’t rob anything from you, picking the crop on time!
How many times a day can I rob the cities of other players? You can attack the player once a day. After you defeated the defense army, you have exactly 24 hours to rob the building of your choice. Then you have to wait 24 hours before you can attack again.
I captured the province with a bonus on the production of goods on the map. What does she give? The province with a bonus to the production of goods will increase the production of specific goods by 400%, in the production of these goods in your industrial buildings.
I need products to unlock technology. How can I get them? There are several ways to get the goods. You can produce them yourself by constructing industrial buildings in accordance with your requirements or you can trade with other players to get the goods you need. Goods can also be purchased for diamonds.
You should only produce bonus items in your hometown. Product manufacturing bonuses are awarded as a reward for successfully acquired provinces, so you must keep an eye on this!
What are technologies and how can I open them? Learning the sciences is one of the most important elements of the game in Forge of Empires. With the help of Strategic Points, you can discover new technologies, and as soon as you unlock them using various products, new buildings and extensions will become available to you.
What are Strategic Points and how do I get them? You need Strategic Points to complete the game. They accumulate in the scale at the top of the game screen. You get 1 Strategic Point per hour, up to a fixed maximum, as well as additional Strategic Points can be purchased for coins or diamonds. They can be used for research and trade, or they can be invested in the Great Buildings of other players.
How do I recruit troops? You must build a military building of your choice, and then you can recruit troops in them.
How do different types of troops behave in battle? Troops of a certain type receive a bonus in attack and defense against a certain other type of troops. Some of them may also receive bonuses on the ground, which may affect their attack, defense, or both of these indicators:
- Light warriors increase their protection over forests / bushes and get a bonus against fast warriors.
- Shooting warriors gain an attack bonus on rocks and have an advantage against heavy warriors.
- Fast warriors are great against shooting warriors.
- Heavy warriors receive a defense bonus on the plains and are very useful against light warriors.
- Long-range warriors also receive an attack and defense bonus against heavy warriors.
What are Diamonds and what can I get for them? Diamonds are the premium currency of Forge of Empires. You do not need to buy diamonds to play the game. However, with diamonds you can get useful benefits that can, for example, accelerate your progress in the game.
Diamonds can be bought for real money, and can also be obtained for certain quests and periodic contests. To purchase diamonds, simply touch / press the + button next to the number showing your available diamonds in the upper right corner of the screen.
What are Great Buildings? Great Buildings are very special buildings that provide you with various bonuses. They are more expensive than other buildings in the game and can be pumped to the next levels with the help of Strategic Points to increase these bonuses.
You can remove the Great Buildings just like any other building in your city. If you have all the necessary drawings and products, then you can restore the previously deleted Great Buildings.
I found a fragment of the drawing. What is it for? Fragments of the drawings are parts of the construction plan that is required to build the Great Buildings. Before you start building the Great Building, you must collect 9 unique fragments of the drawings of the Great Building in order to assemble the complete drawing.
Battle points do not count in my ranking in the PvP tower, why? In order for battle points to be counted in a tower, this tower must be unlocked on your provincial map. The highest warrior in the era used in battle determines which tower the battle will be counted in. Please also remember that tournaments are held every week from Monday morning to Sunday evening, so if it is Sunday night, it is likely that there is currently a break between the tournaments.
How do I get medals? You can get medals for winning PvP tournaments, completing quests, as well as for helping other players build the Great Buildings.
