Murder in Alps: Hidden Mystery is a great adventure game from Nordcurrent. The main character of the story is journalist Anna Myers. While on vacation at the Alpine Hotel, Anna has to start investigating a series of mysterious murders of guests. Help her unravel the mysteries and find the culprit before other people and Anna herself are in danger. A lot of puzzles, mini-games, interesting locations and original characters have been prepared for you. Study each one. But don’t forget: one of your new acquaintances is a killer!

Murder in the Alps: Beginner’s Guide

What is this game? You are Anna Myers, a young journalist from Zurich. Strange and inexplicable things have been happening around you lately. Use your inquisitive mind to figure out what’s going on. You will search for clues, collect useful items and solve puzzles.

Main menu. Screenshot numbers:

  1. The "Game" item opens the chapter or subchapter selection screen.
  2. The "Achievements" item shows a list of all achievements, including those that you have already managed to get in the game.
  3. The "Settings" item opens the settings menu, in which you can change the volume of sounds and other game parameters. You can also go to "Settings" during the game.
  4. The "Help" item shows information about the game and the gameplay.
  5. The "News" item shows a list of recent news about the game.
  6. The item "Energy" allows you to replenish the supply of energy that is required for the game. You receive 1 unit. energy every 8 minutes, up to a reserve of 200 energy.

Stories menu. "Murder in the Alps" is a multi-chapter story in which you will help Anna solve mysteries. This menu lists chapters and sub-chapters - secondary storylines with different characters. Read the description of the chapter or subchapter.

Start a chapter or subchapter from the beginning or from where you left off before. "Closed" means that the chapter or subchapter is not available to you. To open it, you need to finish the previous chapter. "Coming soon" means that a new chapter or sub-chapter is coming soon!

Items. During the game, you will find all sorts of items that can be useful in various places. To use such an item, drag it from your inventory to the location or object you want to interact with.

Mini games. Some locations are more mysterious than others, and in order to progress further, you will need to complete a mini-game. You will learn about what you need to do to complete the mini-game during the game itself. In addition, at the end of a certain period of time, a "Skip" button will appear, by clicking which you can refuse to complete the mini-game.

Energy. Energy is needed to perform various actions in the game. Energy is given for new achievements and collectibles. It can also be purchased from the in-game store. To do this, click the "Add energy" button. In the store, you can get energy in various ways.

Each achievement earns you 10 units. energy, and each collectible item - 5 units. energy. To replenish your energy supply, click "Get". You receive 1 unit. energy every 8 minutes, up to a reserve of 200 energy, so come play every day! Make sure your device is connected to the internet.

Saving progress. Your current progress in the game is saved automatically, so every time you start the game, you can continue playing from where you left off last time. In the "Settings" menu, you can synchronize your current game progress with your Facebook account in order to continue playing on another device associated with this account. In this case, the sync indicator may appear during the game. When you see such an indicator, do not turn off your device so as not to interrupt the synchronization.

Game user interface

By pressing the "Menu" button (number 1 in the screenshot), the game menu opens, and the game itself is paused. In this menu, you can go to game settings, achievements, collectibles, reference materials, and you can also exit the game. The game saves automatically, so you don’t have to keep track of the save.

By pressing the "Diary" button (number 2), you can view Anna’s operational notes, evidence data and plot twists as the story develops. By pressing the "Map" button (number 3), a map will open where you can see your location and all other places of interest.

In the "Inventory" (number 4) are the items found in the current chapter that can be used.

By pressing the "Hint" button (number 5) you will see the next step that you need to take in order to advance in the game. This will come in handy if you get stuck. As a result of pressing the "Hint" button, energy is consumed, and for the next press you will have to wait a while until the energy is restored. By pressing the "Game guide" button (number 6), a window opens, the information in which will help you perform the necessary actions in the game.

If you already have a game guide, pressing this button will open the game guide on the page corresponding to your current progress in the chapter. By pressing the "Energy" button (number 7), the game menu opens, from which you will be taken to the store, where you can buy energy in different ways.

Hidden Object Scenes

Hidden Object scenes are indicated by sparkles.

In the Hidden Object scene, you need to find the items listed at the top of the screen. Items whose names are highlighted in white are visible in the scene, and to find items whose names are highlighted in red, you need to take additional steps.

If you are at a dead end, you can use the "Hint" button, but please note that after pressing it, it becomes inactive for a while!

To find all the items and evidence, some locations will have to be visited several times.

Murder in the Alps: General Game Tips

Correct search. Click on all the suspicious things during the search - suddenly one of them turns out to be a valuable collectible item. Try to click on them no more than once per second while searching for objects. If you do this more often, the scene will freeze. Maintain a steady pace for best results.

If the name of the object is written in white during the search for objects, then it is visible on the screen. If red, then it is not visible on the screen. The names of objects you have already found are crossed out. To find some of the items, you may have to try hard: for example, turn on the flashlight, turn the mirror several times, or open the safe.

Skip dialogues and mini-games. If you want to skip the dialogue, just click on the subtitles - this will take you to the next dialogue. If any of the mini-games seems too difficult for you, you can use the "Skip" button located at the top. This way you can continue researching and progressing through the story.

Hints. If you don’t know what to do next - go back to the last room where something happened and talk to the characters by clicking on them. They will share clues with you or just remind you what needs to be done. You can also help a diary, look into it. And if you get stuck, check out the game guide for step-by-step instructions.

Achievements and information. Some of the achievements are very hard to get: try doing something unusual if you want to get them all! Information about the objects found during the search for objects is saved instantly, so you can leave the scene at any time and return to it later.

If you are playing this game for the first time, don’t skip the tutorial, it will help you a lot!

Murder in the Alps Walkthrough Part 1

Examine the mailbox (1). Open it and take the stamp (2). Go to the hotel (3). Go to the hall (4).

Zoom in on the photo to collect the stamp (1). Enter the fireplace room (2).

After the conversation, open the box and zoom in to pick up the stamp (1). Return to the hall, and then go to the corridor (2). From the corridor, go to the reception desk (3).

Examine the desk at the reception desk and take the business card (1). Examine the letter on the shelf and take the stamp (2). Play the Hidden Object Scene (3).

Pull out the locker - there will be a lock inside (1). Open the box - there will be a scorpion inside (2). Open the bottom drawer - it will contain a lighter (3). Examine the wallet - there will be a ring inside (4).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, give Otto the key (1). After talking with him, go to the corridor and leave the hotel (2). Take the top hat and follow the path to the right (3).

Take the umbrella and return to the reception desk (1). Give Otto the umbrella and top hat (2).

Go to the fireplace room and play solitaire. How to play Solitaire: To win at Solitaire, you need to put all the cards in the piles in the upper right corner (House) in order: ace, 2, 3, ... queen, king.

You may move any top card to another pile if the top card of that pile is higher and of a different color.

If there is an empty cell on the field, you can only put the king there.

You can move the card to the house if you want to clear some space on the table. To do this, you either need to double-tap the card or drag it.

You can also shift several cards from pile to pile at once, if they fit on a new pile according to the rules described above.

Return to the hall. Complete the Hidden Object Scene.

Turn the mirror so that you can see the code for the safe (1). Turn on the flashlight (2). Turn the mirror again to see the photo album (3). Examine the safe (4).

Enter code 5391 and pull the handle. Take a cufflink and a pen.

Examine the amber to get an insect (1). Open the box - there will be a cufflink (2).

After finding the photo album, return to the corridor and go upstairs (1). After climbing up, turn left (2). Take the coin, it lies on the right (3). Go straight to number five (4).

Open the box on the right and zoom in to get the business card and coin (1). Play the Hidden Object Scene (2).

Open the bottom drawer. Find the ring under the hat. Use the oil can on the middle lock (1). Use the key on the top lock (2). Use the other key on the bottom lock (3).

Open the box and take the coin (1). Take the handle and attach it to the top drawer (2).

Under the gloves you will find a ring (1).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, use the hat on the mirror.

Go down to the hall (1). After getting acquainted with the guests, go up to the second floor and check room number ten (2). After checking the room, head back downstairs to the front desk. Play the Hidden Object Scene (3).

Open the bottom drawer to collect the cigarettes (1). Open the top drawer to take the nut (2). Open the backpack and take the camera from there (3). Examine the wallet - there is a pencil (4).

Return to the second floor (1). After another conversation, go downstairs and go into the kitchen (2). Examine the table in the kitchen and take the coin (3). Go through the door and play a Hidden Object Scene (4).

Turn the mirror to find the teapot and knife (1). Open the bread box and see the cheese (2). Open the water barrel and you will see a ladle in it (3). Use the Cider Barrel to fill the Cider Glass (4). Examine the clock (5). Examine the scales (6).

Set the clock to show 2 o’clock (7). Take the cuckoo (8). Put the weights number 1 and 2 on the scale. Take the number 3 that the scales show (9). Take the coin next to the window (10). Open the coffee grinder - there will be coffee (11).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, go up to the second floor to room number ten. Give Walter the knife (1). Enter the room (2).

After the conversation zoom in on the table and take the stamp (1). Take the business card from the wall on the right (2). Go back down to the front desk. Use the phone and go through the mini-game that will appear after the conversation (3).

Take the wires and drag them to the terminals of the same color. The wires must not cross.

Murder in the Alps Walkthrough Part 2

Exit the hotel. Turn right on the path (1).

Open the gate and go through it.

Open the car door and zoom into the salon (1). Take the photo from the seat (2). Return to the courtyard. After the conversation, go to the registration desk (3).

After the conversation, use the photo album (1) and the photo on the table (2).

Restore the photo by correctly placing all the clippings. Start from the corners - it’s easier.

After the comic, return to the corridor and go to room number two.

Once inside, zoom in on the table to get a business card (1). Examine the papers to get the stamp (2). Play the Hidden Object Scene (3).

Take the lighter and light the vaporizer to get the key (1). Use the key on the lock (2). Examine the case and take the syringe (3). Open the globe, take the handle and use it on the cabinet door (4). Zoom into the area between the bird’s legs to find an acorn (5).

Examine the aquarium (6). Take the monocle, then open the box and take the poppy.

Climb up and turn right (1). Examine the floor to get a coin (2). Then go left to room number seven (3).

After the comic, zoom into the table to find a coin and a business card (1). Open the closet and play the Hidden Object Scene (2).

Open the drawer and take the lighter (1). Connect the two parts of the matryoshka into a whole nesting doll (2). Use the token to start the carousel and take the hippo (3). Open the medallion and take the diamond (4).

After the Hidden Object scene and conversation, go downstairs to room number two (1). After the comic with Dr. Hartman, go to the fireplace room and talk to Otto and Walter (2).

After the comic, go to the kitchen (1). Take the SODA in the cupboard on the left (2). Play the Hidden Object Scene on the right (3).

Examine the clock and take the number 9 (IX) and the can opener (1). Zoom in on the scale to get the curry and tea ball (2).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, go upstairs to room number seven. After the dialogue, examine Ulla’s neck (1). Use the magnifying glass on her neck and find the mark (2). Use the soda on the liquid (3).

After the conversation, go to room number ten (1). After the conversation zoom in on the neck of the corpse (2). Remove the collar to find a mark (3).

Drag the lock (1) to the opposite side (2). Move it along the specified path.

After opening the luggage, play the Hidden Object Scene.

Examine the amulet and find a shell (1). Open the drawer to find the turtle (2). Open the small drawer to find a camel, a skull and a coin (3). Zoom in on the radio, turn it on and tune it as shown to hear the Morse code (4). Examine the stone tablet on the chair and use the magnifying glass to find a water lily and a horn (5).

Go down to the hall the next morning. After the comic, start a Hidden Object Scene (1).

Use the glue (1) on the broken cup (2). Glue the shard (3) to the cup. Now you can pick it up.

Examine the safe to find a dice and a clock inside the box (4).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene and talking, use the alcohol on the rune (1). And then set the rune on fire with the lighter (2). After another conversation, use the coin on the rune and play the mini-game (3).

The easiest way to solve this puzzle is from top to bottom and from left to right. First make the top three tiles, then the middle three, and then the last two.

After the comic, go upstairs to room number five (1). Take the scarf from the bed in your room (2). After you pick it up, a mini-game will appear.

Find the hidden message on the note.

After the mini-game, put on the scarf (1). Complete the Hidden Object Scene.

Under the lantern you will find a rose (1).

Murder in the Alps Walkthrough Part 3

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, go downstairs, then exit the hotel and turn right towards the gate (1). Turn left into the backyard (2).

After the conversation, go left to the cellar (1). After entering the cellar, use the flashlight on the hook (2). Using a flashlight, you will see a switch. Turn on the light (3).

After the comic, zoom into the boxes and take the coin (1). Examine the barrel and take the stamp (2). Then zoom into the cellar door (3).

Open the door and go inside (1). In the next room, zoom in on the switch (2).

Remove the switch cover (1). Take the disconnected wire and pull it to connect (2). Replace the cover (3). Pull the switch down to turn on the light (4).

After the light comes on, zoom in on the broken vessel and take the coin (1). Tap the dresser twice to open it. Zoom in and take the coin (2). Enter the room on the left (3).

After the conversation, give Walter the cigarettes (1). Examine the boxes and take the business card (2). Then enter the door on the right (3). Play the Hidden Object Scene in the last cellar room (4).

Zoom in on the lamp and light it with a match.

Use the hammer to break the piggy bank (1). Then zoom in and find the banknote (2). Use the key to open the drawer (3). Zoom in and look for a screwdriver (4).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, return to the hotel. Once at the hotel, go to the hall. After the comic, go to the reception desk. Play the Hidden Object Scene (1).

Open the book and take the doll (1). Take the list of guests from the box (2). Under the list of guests there will be a puzzle: collect it and get a bear (3).

Return to the hall. Give Walter the list of guests (1). After the conversation, exit the hotel and go to the backyard. Play the Hidden Object Scene (2).

Remove the snow with the broom (1).

Examine the bucket to find an eagle (1). Pick up the stone, behind it you will see a box of matches (2). Use the pickaxe to clear the ice from the chain (3). Open the small case to collect the glasses (4).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, give Otto the Shell Cases (1).

After the comic in the hall, go up to the second floor and go left (1). Then go to room number four (2). After another comic, play a Hidden Object Scene (3).

Light the lamp to reveal a small heart shadow on the pages of the book (1). Turn the bottle, you will find an octopus there (2). Use the key to open the dresser door and collect the belt (3).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene, zoom in on the drawer to collect the business card (1). Examine the chest of drawers to get a coin (2). Put the first aid kit on the bed (3).

Open the first-aid kit and put all the items lying in it in their places (1). Put the syringe in the first aid kit (2).

After the conversation, go down to the front desk. A mini-game will appear. Move the two sliders so that the arrows on the right line up.

After another comic, go to the backyard and play a Hidden Object Scene (1).

Use the pry bar to open the wooden box (1). Zoom in on the teddy bear to find a picture (2). Examine the purse to collect the mirror and watch (3).

Zoom in on the burner and remove the cover (1). Use the funnel on the burner (2). Fill it with gasoline (3). Set it on fire with the lighter from the drawer (4). Melt the ice with the burner to collect the bottle and water (5).

After completing the Hidden Object Scene in the backyard, go to the farthest cellar room and play another Hidden Object Scene (1).

Use the knife on the bag to take the tea (1). Examine the broken piggy bank and unscrew the gear with the wrench (2). Examine the crate to collect the nut and chisel (3).

After the Hidden Object Scene and the conversation, a mini-game will appear. Position the small gears and rotate the main gear (1) to open the lock mechanism. After completing the mini-game, go to the backyard.

Murder in the Alps Walkthrough Part 4

Go down to the hall in the morning. After the comic, go upstairs to room number six, it’s on the left (1).

Examine the table and take the business card (1). Examine the luggage, remove the sticker and take the stamp (2). Then go to room ten and play a Hidden Object Scene (3).

Examine the small crate to collect a jellyfish and a frog (1). Examine the stone tablet to collect the yin and yang symbol, crown, and lion (2).

After the Hidden Object Scene, leave room number ten and turn right to Ulla’s room (room number seven). A mini-game will appear. You need to find 5 differences between the photos.

After the mini-game zoom in on the clock frame (1). Insert the dial into the frame (2).

After setting the dial, exit the hotel and go to the backyard. After talking with Father Lenz, go to the right, through the gate (1). After the comic, return to the backyard and play a Hidden Object Scene (2).

Use the LIGHTER on the burner (1). Use the burner on the icy areas to melt the ice (2). Take bowl and stone (3). Examine the purse and take the lipstick and paper crane (4).

After the Hidden Object Scene, return to the hotel. Climb up and turn right to room number nine (1). Enter the room and after talking zoom in on the table and take the coin (2). Examine the vest and take the business card (3).

Then exit the room and go to the first floor to room number one (1). After the comic, zoom in on the table and take the business card (2).

Go to room number eight upstairs (1). Enter the room and after talking zoom in on the table and take the business card and stamp (2). Play the Hidden Object Scene (3).

Open all doors. Examine the crate and take all the items from there (1).

After the Hidden Object Scene, place the RECORD and RECORD SHARDS on the gramophone. A mini-game will appear.

Move the pieces of the record so that they fit together. Having correctly folded all the fragments, fasten the plate with glue (1).

After gluing the record, turn the handle to start the gramophone (2). Turn it on (3).

Go down in the morning to the hall (1). After the comic, go to the kitchen (2). After talking with Otto, return to the front desk. Take a look at the table. The keys are in a pool of acid on the table (3).

Use the gloves on the key and take the acid keys (1).

Return to the kitchen and zoom in on the door (1). Use the key on the keyhole (2). Then play the Hidden Object Scene.

Turn the mirror up to reveal an hourglass (1). Take the copper pan, behind it you will find a knife (2). Use the knife on the pumpkin (3). Inside the pumpkin you will find seeds, and behind it is an axe. Examine the scales; take the coin (4). Zoom in on the clock, take the horse and king (5).

After the Hidden Object Scene, exit the hotel and go to the backyard. Take the snow shovel (1). Return to the yard and turn left to the house in the mountains (2). Zoom in on the gate to open it (3).

Having approached the gate, open it, and then go through it.

Use the snow shovel on the snowdrift (1). Clear the path by throwing snow with the shovel to the right (2). Use the ax on the door of the house (3). After entering the cabin, play a Hidden Object Scene (4).

Open the window with a hammer.

Drag the carpet and open the flap (1).

After opening the hinged door, zoom in on it and take the star (2). Open the drawer and use the wire cutters to bite through the lock on the doors (3).

Continue the conversation. After the conversation, give Claudia the postcard (1). After the comic, go to the reception desk. Answer the call (2). After talking on the phone, return to the hall. Continue the conversation. After the conversation, give Professor Clark his passport (3).
