Armello: How to defeat King Armello?

King Armello . In the kingdom of Armello there was once a king who was famous for his kindness and wisdom. One day, he fell ill with a mysterious and dark force known as "Rot". Slowly consuming his flesh and soul, Rot clouded his mind, pushing him into deep madness. In response, the Grand Clans of Armello summoned the Heroes to claim the throne of the kingdom of Armello.

In Game. The king retains the indicators of Attack, Intelligence and Spirit by 8. He takes one point of damage every dawn and one point of rot every sunset, and his combat efficiency decreases every day, which makes victory through the seizure of the throne easier in the later stages of the game. Each dawn, the player with the most prestige becomes an adviser to the king and convinces him to accept a law that will have consequences on the world as a whole and / and interfere with other heroes.

Strategies. All strategies except victory through prestige go through getting into the palace and direct confrontation. Losing these attempts to win will reset the player’s prestige to zero. And then the one who has the most will win. You can get to the palace at any time, but the difficulty is to pass the test and stay there (excluding the royal guards who are nearby).

Anyone entering the palace (or attempting to) loses all action points. However, this is not the end of the turn. Cards that give additional AP as a boost allow you to immediately act (or make another try). If the conditions are met, spirit stones allow you to win in one turn. If the River enters the palace when the king has 1 unit of health, then with the help of a passive ability she can hit him without a fight.

Items of the King. The King carries three items, his Crown, Sword, and Armor. The crown looks good with the Lion’s Chestpiece (no bonus). His armor allows him to bypass the "rot" drop penalty and counts the dropped "nature" bones as "shields". His sword "makes an impression in battle". For every miss he gets a dice, or rather he has a 1/3 chance of getting an additional dice with a 5/6 chance of getting some other stat. It is best to use cards that reduce the number of dice as much as possible.

Interesting Facts. If you copy the crown from the king with the help of a mirrored cloak, you will receive the "I am the king" achievement, if you kill the king without losing a single health, then you will receive the "Indestructible regicide" achievement, and if you were also a leader in prestige, you will receive "Backstab".

Royal Guard. The Royal Guard is the soldier protecting Armello. Three of these units are located on the board from the very beginning of the game. They have one action point and only move at dawn (and potential respawn in the royal gardens). They do not start the game as hostile, however they can block key cells.

After entering "War Mode" when the player enters the royal gardens, all guards gain an additional action point and become hostile. They will most likely attack the character with the most prestige. They hunt Reptiles anyway. Likewise, the Guardian who stands on the cage of the Circle of Stones with a materialized Stone of Spirit destroys this stone.

Armello: The most important thing about Rot

Concept. Rot is a characteristic that determines the level of the character’s immersion in insanity as a result of infection with the Rot disease. In terms of gameplay, this indicator can significantly affect the outcome of the battle.

Combat value. If one hero or NPC has a higher Rot rate than another hero or NPC, then the character with the highest Rot rate will receive bonus dice equal to the character with the lower amount of Rot. If one of the combatants does not have any Rot points, then his opponent with a nonzero number of Rot points does not receive bonus dice. If the combatants have equal Blight stats, none of them receive bonus dice.

Infection. When a hero has a Rot score of 1 to 4, he takes one point of damage each dawn.

Defeat. Once a hero reaches a Rot score of 5 or higher, he is labeled "Struck". This has the following consequences:

Armello: Character Traits

Concept. Each of the Heroes has a unique distribution of basic characteristics from 15 available points. Throughout the entire party in Armello, you can permanently improve them through Quests or give a temporary improvement through Items, Spells, Companions and Treasures. They are all located in the lower left corner under the cards.

Attack. It is designated as a sword. Determines your skill in battle, namely, how many Dice can initially be thrown by a hero or NPC in battle before using Cards and Abilities. The current number of dice is determined by items, the cycle of day and night, terrain, rings / amulets, and other factors.

Force. It is designated as a heart. Determines how many wounds a hero or NPC can withstand before dying and is shown on the screen as the current / maximum.

Intelligence. It is designated as a bowl. Reflects your level of cunning and cunning, determines the base number of Cards in your hand. At the start of each of your turns, you replenish them. You can get more by exploring the dungeon, but you will not be able to replenish their amount until it is lower than the amount of Intelligence. In addition, high IQ is useful in trials of cunning.

Spirit. It is designated as a flame. Determines the amount of magic. Depending on the hero, it is restored at dawn / dusk. Along with this, the stat dictates the range of your spells. It is also used for passing magical tests.

Armello: Thane Guide

Thane. Thane (White Wolf) is a playable hero and a member of the wolf clan. He was one of the four starting characters in Armello, and is available to all players without DLC. A young swordsman and heir to the clan, he went on a journey to become a great warrior.

Description. Thane is a gray wolf wearing dark blue armor adorned with a stylized star on his chest. He carries a sword with inscribed runes. His prowess has earned him almost legendary fame among his clan. Initially, his extraordinary fighting abilities were used only for hunting. Thane’s outlook on life became much more serious after the death of his father and the expulsion of his brother. Now the heir to the clan of wolves travels the world, honing his skills to one day become who he was destined to be. He is the protagonist of the Armellian novella / audiobook "Winter Wolf".

History. Thane is a name known throughout the mountainous region of the wolf clan. From an early age, while still a puppy, his victories in tournaments and fights brought him fame and a big name among the clan. With his skills and lightning sword, he quickly became a legend, but unfortunately his frivolous antics drew the wrath of his father, a wolf of steel. In his son, he saw only a wolf, unable to lead the clan. Now his father has been killed, and his brother is in exile. This day has come, but the puppy, glorified by his sword, has not yet become a wolf.

Characteristic. Thane has a high attack and strength, the rest of his qualities are medium. He is stronger at night and weaker during the day due to his belonging to the night clan.

Unique abilities. Thane - Master of the Sword: Sword cards burned in battle undermine the opponent’s defenses.

Rings. The rings of the clan of wolves give an advantage on the cage of the mountains, and also give a certain reward for killing in battle.

NamePeculiarityOpen
SapphireCamouflage in the mountains day and night.Opened at the beginning of the game.
Moonstone+1 to magic per kill.After 2 games.
Onyx+1 gold per kill.After 5 games.
CelestineCrossing the mountains costs 1 OD.After 10 games.

Gameplay. This hero has low intelligence and spirit, which greatly complicates the use of magic cards, but you can complete tasks to increase these indicators, and you can also use amulets at the beginning of the game. Thane, as you know, is a legendary fighter, so his attack is one of the highest, which gives him an advantage in battle. This character has several options to win, but the most common are "The King’s Assassin".

Armello: Guide to Sana’a

Sana. Sana (Sister of the Forest) is a playable hero from the bear clan. Along with Thane, Mercurio and Amber is the classic Armello character and is available to all non-DLC players. He is a respectful druid and seeks to bring peace and harmony.

Description. Sana is a brown bear druid. She is dressed in a green cloak with a medallion depicting a tree of the power of nature, and is armed with a wooden staff with a spirit stone. She was raised by a druid, according to whose prophecy Sana must cleanse the rot from the earth. Sana is kind and humble, she is completely devoted to the service of nature. Refusing all blessings, she pledges to return peace to the kingdom.

Characteristic. Sana is the character with the highest level of Spirit in the game, and also, together with Barnaby and Bran, has a high level of Power. However, this character, along with Thane and Bran, has a low level of Intelligence, and also has the lowest Attack. During the day, Sana receives an additional die roll in combat due to her daytime clan.

Unique ability. Priestess: When fighting a Rot-infested creature, uses Spirit instead of Attack. This ability allows Sana to fight well against the defeated heroes, the Reptiles and the King, however, against the Royal Guards and unaffected heroes, Sana remains weak.

Rings. Rings of bears give a reward for ending a turn at night on certain squares, and also give bonuses for burning cards.

NamePeculiarityOpen
NephritisSana gains +3 magic if she ends her turn on a forest square at night.Available initially.
QuartzSana loses 1 rot if she ends her turn on a square with a circle of stones at night. You must have two victories for the bear clan.
AmethystSana gains +1 magic for each spell card burned. You must have five victories for the bear clan.
AmberBurning the moon and sun cards is the same as burning an attack card. You must have ten victories for the bear clan.

Analysis of characteristics. Sana has the highest level of Spirit, which allows her to effectively use spells that require a lot of magic (Crystallization, Lightning Strike, Spirit Strike, Influence of Dark Forces). Sana will also be able to pass spell tests without any problems. A large amount of Strength allows Sana to use rot and roam the swamps without much fear for her health, as well as survive in the event of an attack by enemy creatures.

A low level of Intelligence does not allow drawing many cards, which significantly limits the range of cards in hand, and does not allow Sana to use cunning cards often. It will also be difficult for Sana to pass the tests of cunning. The lowest level of Attack makes Sana the weakest character in battle, which means that she can receive prestige mainly from tasks and kills of Reptiles.

Victory. It will be easiest for this character to win through the spirit stones, since most often Sana will take exactly the spell cards, among which there are cards for mobility (Speed, Teleport, Banishment), as well as other useful cards (Wall of thorns, Crystallization). A good option would also be to kill the King, because among the spells there are many spells to strengthen the hero, and Sana also has a good unique ability against the King, but then you have to collect good artifacts, which will take a lot of time.

The middle option would be to win through the rot. It is the spell cards that make it easier to get rot (Plague, Influence of dark forces, Call of worms, Malice). The problem is that due to low intelligence, the chance of getting a rotten card is low, it is also difficult to get rot through death from reptiles because of the high amount of Strength in Sana. The worst option is to win through prestige. While Sana is capable of killing enemy players with spells, she is unable to kill them in combat and prevent them from gaining prestige.

Armello: A Guide to Amber

Amber. Amber (The Seeker) is a playable rabbit hero. She was one of Armello’s four starting heroes and is available to all non-DLS players. Her immense curiosity and spirit of adventurism often lure her into ancient dungeons and ruins.

Description. Amber is a rabbit with amber drapery and a baroque dress, carries a silk Chinese umbrella and a sword with which she fights in battle and scares off ill-wishers. As a former heiress from a very wealthy family from the rabbit clan, she embodies all the features of a stately face, but this does not prevent her from living a life of adventure and intrigue. She is the protagonist of the novel / audiobook "The Far Seeker".

Characteristic. Amber has average intelligence and spirit, which is not so much compared to others, but at the start she is given 9 gold, which gives her a significant superiority in the appropriation of items and can make up for the lack of a small attack rate.

Unique abilities. Amber - Tomb Raider: Higher chances of finding rewards (treasures) when exploring dungeons.

Rings. Rabbit clan rings give you an advantage on the plains, in trials and battles, as well as add prestige or gold to you.

NamePeculiarityOpen
Emerald+2 to defense in the plains.Opened at the beginning of the game.
Pink topaz+1 gold from each settlement at dawn. After 2 games.
Diamond+1 to prestige for each treasure and follower appropriated. After 5 games.
Sun stone+1 to the sun in battles and trials (if you have more than 3 gold). After 10 games.

Gameplay. Since the rabbit is not so strong in battle, it would not be the most successful decision to overthrow the king (although there were times when the little rabbit gave all the wolves a lyule), unless, of course, you have accumulated enough treasures and a couple of extra attack cards. Still, the most common solution for beginners is to collect spirit stones or accumulate prestige.

Armello: Ways to get resources

Gold (coins). This is the main resource for equipping / using items, relics and cunning cards, recruiting companions, etc. Each hero starts with a certain amount of gold, and gets it when exploring dungeons, passing tests and holding settlements. Certain cards and rings can also give gold to heroes.

Magic. A resource used for casting spells. It can be increased along with the Spirit, when exploring dungeons and when using some cards (for a while), but if additional magic points are not used until the moment of replenishment (depending on the hero, during the day or at night), they will be lost. Magic is replenished to Spirit level every night.

Prestige. Determines your political influence. The king and royal guards will interact with you depending on the amount of this indicator. You can get it for the extermination of other heroes or Reptiles, freeing settlements or completing tasks. Victory by this indicator is possible only if the King dies from his own illness - in this case, the owner of the highest indicator is proclaimed the legal heir to the throne.

Rot. A characteristic that determines the level of the hero entering madness if he is infected with rot. Rot can be obtained by equipping the Corruption amulet, using certain cards (such as a poisoned gift), or dying from Reptiles.

Armello: Card Features

Concept. Maps are an integral part of the Armello world, interacting with it directly and affecting everything around. There are 162 cards in total in the game. If you hover the mouse over the animation of the map, you can see the author of the sketch and animation, as well as his signature.

Decks and parameters. There are six decks of cards: Item, Spell, Cunning. Each card has the following parameters:
