Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Beginner’s Guide

How to earn experience points? During your adventures in the Multiverse, you will have many opportunities to gain experience. Complete races, complete tasks, defeat minions and earn XP. Completed Bandicoot Pass stages will also earn XP and get you closer to the next level.

What does a level up give? For each new level, you will receive amazing rewards: skins, purple crystals, ingredients, weapons and much more!

How to choose land? During exciting adventures you will visit many amazing lands. Here is how you can select a new land in the game:

  1. Tap the map icon in the lower right corner of the home screen. Next, you will see all open lands and you can choose one of them.
  2. Visit the lab and tap the run icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to see all available lands.

How to unlock new lands? To unlock new lands, you need to earn energy stones by defeating the minions of Cortex! How many more energy stones are needed to unlock each new land is indicated on the race-gathering screen. It also shows how many stones you already have.

Why are details needed? As you make your way through the Multiverse, you’ll need to collect various kinds of parts to repair labs, tidy up buildings, and unlock new production nests. They’ll also come in handy if you need to trade them for juicy wampa fruit!

How to collect parts? A sharp eye and a good reaction will help you collect a lot of details as you speed through the Multiverse. When you see boxes with the image of parts during the races, break them and take all the contents. The correct choice of the path in races-gatherings increases the chance of finding parts.

Why are ingredients needed? The ingredients can be used to create powerful weapons that will crack minions like nuts. Entering the laboratory, you will see what ingredients are needed to create weapons. In addition, the ingredients are highly valued - they can be exchanged for additional trophies in the vault!

How to collect ingredients? The ingredients are scattered throughout the game on different islands. Some of them can only be found on certain islands, so it’s best to get more energy stones in order to open up new areas for exploration. Keep your eyes peeled for ingredient boxes in races, and smash them to pick up useful goodies. Pay attention to signs and paths. This will help you collect more ingredients.

What are the types of ingredients? There are four categories of ingredients:

Try to keep a little bit of everything in storage so that you can get the right weapon at the right time!

How does the Aku-Aku mask work? Aku-Aku, the spirit of a powerful healer living inside a wooden mask, is ready to help Crash and Coco in a good cause - to defeat Cortex! Aku-Aku masks can be picked up by breaking the corresponding Aku-Aku crates as you run. Keep in mind that the Aku-Aku mask is a valuable item, so if you decide to collect as many of these as possible, you will have to diligently look for them!

How does the Aku-Aku mask work? The mask will protect you from impact: you will crash into an obstacle or miss an enemy attack, and the mask will take the damage! However, after being hit, it will disappear. Also, don’t forget that the Aku-Aku mask doesn’t protect against everything... for example, if you fall into a hole, you’ll have to start over! Collecting three Aku-Aku masks will grant you temporary invulnerability. Use this time to carelessly dash past enemies and obstacles.

How to accumulate steps? In the game, your steps are represented by a brown shoe icon. They accumulate automatically as you progress in the game to defeat the Cortex.

How does step collection work? You accumulate steps in camps and combat races. You can exchange your steps for trophies at Tiki Head. The more steps you exchange at once, the higher the conversion rate. If you do not trade all of your steps, or if you have any leftovers after the trade, those steps will carry over to your next collection or battle run. This means that when you start a new run and Crash loses a life, you will have the option to save all the steps you have accumulated. This includes all the steps gained from this new run, plus the steps you collected from any previous one.

When you are given the option to watch ads or use your crystals to continue playing, if you do not accept this option, you will lose all the steps you have collected up to that point. If in your adventures you die while participating in another type of run (there are five different runs in total - in addition to collecting and fighting, there are trials, time trials and survival trials), you will not be able to collect more steps, but you will be able to save the already accumulated steps, whether you decide to continue playing or not.

How to turn steps into prizes? Here’s what you need to do to exchange your steps for trophies. Don’t forget that juicy wampa fruits can also be exchanged for trophies!

  1. Repair Tiki’s head, which can be found at the bottom of the base.
  2. Touch Tiki’s head.
  3. Select the number of steps you want to exchange (the more you change at once, the better the exchange rate).
  4. Drag and drop the icon into the mouth of the Tiki head!
  5. After completing these actions, you will see that the number of trophies has increased!

How to collect eggs? To start collecting eggs, you need to repair the base. There are chicken coops on the left side of the island. Repair them with parts and get mutagenic chickens! When you fix the chicken coops and adorable mutagenic chickens appear there, feed them with the right ingredients to get different eggs.

Why are eggs needed? Eggs are needed to create some powerful weapons. Select the appropriate types of eggs and create a strong weapon that will help you defeat Cortex’s minions.

How to craft portal weapons? Defeating Cortex’s minions and saving the Multiverse would require an exceptionally powerful portal weapon. To create it:

  1. Upgrade laboratories. Before you can craft advanced weapons like ray guns and bazooka, you need to level up the labs. To get this opportunity, collect energy stones by defeating minions from the Quest Analyzer.
  2. Gather the required ingredients. After gaining the ability to craft weapons, you will need to collect the necessary ingredients. Their list is at the bottom of the laboratory screen. Of course, in addition to this, you will need the required amount of wampa fruit!
  3. Choose which weapon to craft. Now that you have all the ingredients you need, simply drag and drop your weapon into one of the three production slots at the top of the lab screen. You can unlock more production nests with parts found in Gathering Runs! This will help speed up production.
  4. Wait for your weapon or speed up the process. Now that you have started production, you have to wait. The timer clearly shows how much time is left until ready. If you’re in a hurry, you can use purple crystals to speed up the production process and instantly get your coolest portal weapon!
  5. Don’t forget to pick up the weapon when it’s ready. Once the weapon is ready, don’t forget to pick it up from the lab and put it in the quest analyzer.

Why do you need a cooldown timer? The cooldown timer is located on the island overview screen. It shows how many ingredients can be found during the run and how much time is left before replenishing them. If you need special ingredients, start the races after replenishing them in order to collect as many as possible. If you’re in a hurry, use purple crystals to speed up the timer and replenish the island’s ingredients.

Why are colored stones needed? Colored gems are hard to come by, hard to earn, and only the most talented players will be able to get them. In general, colored stones cannot be used in any way, but they can be shown off to other players. Show off your collection to your friends or tell us where you found these colored stones...if you don’t mind!

How checkpoints work. If you break the checkpoint box (with a capital "C"), you can start the run over from this place. Thus, these crates will help you get through even the most difficult levels, while Crash and Coco will be able to take a break. To unlock the checkpoints, during the race, find the checkpoint crate and break it! Boxes come across in the course of the race. Run around all the obstacles on the way to them.

How to break two boxes located on the sides of the hero? While playing Crash Bandicoot: Go All Out! you will face many challenges, so be on the lookout and hone your reflexes. On some levels, there are boxes on both sides of the path. They can be broken with a powerful blow to the ground. It’s pretty easy: swipe up on the screen and then down while you’re still in the air.

Why are buttons needed? The buttons set the mechanisms in the level in motion, opening new paths or moving large objects out of the way. For example, by pressing a button, you can clear your way or open a secret object. Experiment with the blue buttons, but keep your eyes peeled - the level will change before your eyes! Just run over the button to press and activate it. Sometimes there are buttons on the walls. To activate them, you need to have time to throw a berry.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: All about the races

When traveling through the Multiverse with Crash and Coco, various types of races are available. Use them at the right moment to advance and defeat Cortex!

Combat runs. To defeat Cortex, you need to deal with his minions in combat races. To conduct a battle run, open the quest analyzer and select the minion you want to fight. First, of course, make sure you have the right weapon! Complete these difficult tasks and get energy stones and other goodness as a reward!

Race collection. To tidy up the base and craft powerful new weapons, you will need many different ingredients and parts. Gathering races allow you to collect the necessary resources. Accumulate energy stones and unlock new lands, and then choose the one with the necessary resources. For example, for nitro go to the Turtle Forest, and to replenish the supply of frosty ingredients, run through the Lost City.

Race-competition. During races-collections sometimes there are mysterious races-competitions. They are quite difficult, so it is better not to yawn there, but if you manage to do it, you will receive a special prize as a reward!

Time run. During these races you have to rush through the levels as quickly as possible. Complete them in record time to unlock relics and show off your well-earned spot on the leaderboard to your friends!

Run for survival. Survival Runs - an opportunity to team up with Crashes and Coco from different Multiverses! Use these fun races to compete, earn prizes, and improve your position on the leaderboard by winning amazing rewards.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Overview of Available Crates

In a crazy race to defeat Cortex and his minions, you will meet many different boxes. We list their main types.

Boxes of wampa fruit. Break these boxes and take the juicy contents! Wampa fruits have many different uses in the game.

Parts boxes. To repair and improve Koko’s base, you will need a lot of alpha and beta parts. From the picture on the box you can understand what part is in it.

Ingredient boxes. The ingredients are very diverse - break different boxes to send useful ingredients from them to your storage, and craft the coolest weapons.

Boxes of dynamite. These boxes have an explosive nature - stay away from them at all costs, or you will get damage from the explosion! But if you jump on one from above, you can light the fuse and make a powerful explosion behind you.

Control points. Checkpoint crates are cool: when you die and start again, the run will start from the last checkpoint you unlocked!

Aku-Aku boxes. Aku-Aku’s magical mask allows you to take no damage and remain unharmed. Collect multiple Aku-Aku masks to accumulate this effect and gain temporary invulnerability!

Trophy boxes. In races for survival, boxes with trophies come across. Break them and collect valuable trophies that lie inside!

Nitro boxes. These green boxes make "Bang!" at the slightest touch, so avoid them at all costs! If you get hit by an explosion, you will take damage!

Boxes with nitrosapal. If there are a lot of nitro boxes ahead, look for useful boxes with a fuse - they will help you get rid of the danger at once!

Boxes-switches. In your travels, you will encounter gaps in the environment - activate the nearest switch boxes to fill in these gaps and enter new zones!

Boxes "?". These valuable boxes are extremely rare, but if you’re lucky, you’ll stumble upon them in the Gathering Runs. Break these boxes to unlock some serious goodies.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Vault Guide

On the way to defeating the Cortex, you will collect a lot of different goodies, and all of them will be safe and sound in the vault.

What can be kept in storage? The following items can be stored in storage:

Try to accumulate all these items evenly, and you will be able to craft weapons, repair buildings and much more!

How to increase storage capacity? As you accumulate items, it will be necessary to expand the storage to fit all of them there. To do this, go directly to the vault and click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the main screen. The upgrade screen will open. Here you will see the current storage capacity and details needed to upgrade. Upgrade storage whenever possible to fit as many items as possible!

How to sell items from storage? To effectively dispose of items, you need to keep an eye on the stocks in the storage: if you leave too much, you will have to sell them before the next race. To sell items, go to the storage and select their type, and then the number of items that are for sale. That way you’ll know how many prizes you’ll get in return!

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: How do energy stones work?

Energy Stones are also extremely powerful items, which have many uses in Crash Bandicoot: On the Go. Below will be described how you can use energy stones.

Access to new lands and islands. To unlock new lands and islands, you need to accumulate a certain amount of energy stones by defeating minions. Open the island map to find out how many energy stones are missing before the next opening.

Access to new gates and paths. There are mysterious gates in loot runs that will remain sealed until you get a certain amount of Power Stones. Once you have the right amount of energy stones, you can run through the gate and scout new paths.

Access to new fixes. The base is not in the best shape, and you will need to make a lot of repairs using parts found in loot runs. But in order to do repairs, you need to get energy stones - check how many of them you need.

Recharging the Job Analyzer. The analyzer helps to find minions. The more energy stones you get, the more tasks you will unlock and the sooner you will defeat Cortex.

What are seasons? Seasons are exciting limited-time events that take place regularly in the game. Lots of features await, as well as temporarily available skins and more! All seasons are different, so check back often for fresh content and updates.

When will new seasons be available? New seasons start regularly, but sometimes they differ in duration, so there is no clear schedule. Log into the game often, stay tuned for the latest news and updates so you don’t miss anything from the incredible adventures of Crash and Coco!

What are trophies? Earn trophies as you explore the Multiverse and help your team climb the leaderboards to earn Bandicoot Passes! The more trophies you earn, the higher the team rating will be and the more rewards you will open. There are several ways to get trophies in the Multiverse:

Choose the right battle run skin to take advantage of the multiplier and get more trophies.

What is a Bandicoot Pass? Get your hands on the Bandicoot Pass and unlock new rewards, exclusive skins, and seasonal challenges. Please note that after purchasing a subscription, not all of its contents will be available immediately. Unlock rewards by earning trophies. The Bandicoot Pass increases the value of rewards. At the same time, you will have access to both the subscription rewards and regular rewards.

If you’ve earned enough trophies, you’ll be able to claim your rewards from the Pass Overview screen. The season ticket can be bought from the vending machine or through the season menu. After the purchase, you will immediately receive rewards for all completed stages. For example, if you buy a Bandicoot Pass at Stage 10, you will receive all the rewards for Stages 1-9. Please note that rewards that you have not yet unlocked will not be available. To get them, you will need to earn trophies.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Run a survival race

Participation. Survival races are fun competitions between your team and two others. Starting a survival run is very easy. Do the following:

  1. Touch the team icon in the lower left corner of the base screen.
  2. Tap the run icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
  3. Wear the coolest outfit to impress everyone!
Please note that a ticket is required to participate in the survival run. You can get them every day for free for entering the survival race mode, and if you need more, buy them for purple crystals.

What can be won? Survive as long as possible to get as many rewards and experience as possible! These precious prizes will help your team skyrocket up the leaderboard where you can unlock the coolest rewards!

Why is the speed increasing? If you’re nimble enough, survival runs could theoretically go on forever! The further you advance, the higher the speed. Of course, this complicates the task, but the faster you run, the faster you earn prizes! The speed of earning prizes will increase when this icon appears on the screen:

Extend the survival run longer to get as many prizes as possible and take your team to the top of the leaderboard! At some point, you may notice that you are running in front of or behind others, but that’s okay! The order does not affect the final result in any way.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Using Purple Crystals

Violet Crystals are shiny stones that will help you a lot during the races around the islands and in the battle with the Cortex. Below are examples of their use.

Acceleration of the replenishment timer. During the races, you will find valuable resources that will help you defeat the minions. These resources are very rare, and it will be possible to collect them only after some time, when they are restored. If you are in a hurry, use purple crystals to speed up the timer.

Extended run for survival. In survival races, you pick up speed, and the further you run, the more trophies you get. If you are running out of strength, you can use purple crystals to keep your current speed and place in the race with other players.

Additional seasonal tasks. During the season, you will receive special tasks, the completion of which will bring you rewards. New quests appear after some time after the completion of the old ones, but you can immediately unlock them with purple crystals.

Resurrection with steps and Aku-Aku mask. If you fail to complete the level, you can save your steps in exchange for purple crystals and start it again with the Aku-Aku mask, which is very useful on difficult levels.

Accelerated creation of items. To defeat the henchmen of Cortex, in the laboratory you need to create a weapon from the ingredients. And don’t forget the farms! If you’re in a hurry, use Purple Crystals to speed up item crafting and harvesting so you can get weapons and start new quests right away.

Access to new skins. Purple Crystals can also be used to purchase new skins. You can buy them in the store or before the start of the level. Choose the look you want and get amazing bonuses (and of course play through the levels in style).

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Player Account

How to personalize a profile? Here are some ways to personalize the game:

What are skin bonuses? Skins are not just decorations for the hero. Choosing the right skin for the run allows you to get bonus trophies. To receive bonuses during the race:

  1. Unlock new skins. First you need to unlock new skins. To do this, participate in the seasons or make a purchase in the store for purple crystals.
  2. Choose the look you want. Once you get new skins, you can try them on to unlock bonuses. You can try on the skins for Crash and Coco at the base by touching them, or choose before the start of the race. Before the race, you will see all the available skin bonuses. Choose the right one and get more trophies!

How to unlock new skins? To defeat Dr. Neo Cortex, you will need to dress up! In the game you will find many skins. Here’s how to unlock them.

Do I need an account to play? You can start adventures in the Multiverse without a King account, but it’s better to create one so as not to lose game progress. If you need to reinstall the game, you will pick up where you left off. With a King account (with a valid email address), your game progress will always be saved on the game servers, and you can play on multiple devices.

How to transfer progress from one device to another? Create a King account and use it to change devices while keeping your game progress.

If I try to reinstall the game will I lose my progress? If you played and were logged in to "Facebook" or "King", don’t worry - all your achievements and gold bars are stored on game servers. If you’ve never backed up with a Facebook or King account, reinstalling the game will erase all your progress and you’ll have to start over! If you have a "Facebook" account, simply click the blue "Login" button in the game splash screen and enter your "Facebook" email address and password.

If you don’t have a "Facebook" account, be sure to create a "King" account to back up your game. Since boosters are items that are saved directly to your device’s memory so you can use them offline, reinstalling the game will unfortunately remove all of these items. If you have lost any of the boosters you have purchased, please contact the Support Team using the "Contact Us" option and they will return your lost item.

How to save your progress? You can create a Kingdom account in a couple of minutes to start saving your progress. With a Kingdom account, you’ll be able to save your progress, make the most of social features, and play across devices. To create a Kingdom account, follow these steps:

  1. Open your game.
  2. Click the settings icon.
  3. Go to account settings.
  4. Select "Sign up by email" (or one of the other login options).
  5. Fill the form.
  6. Click "Create my account".
  7. Make sure your King profile is secure and don’t share sensitive information with other players.

Can I sync my progress between "Facebook" and King.com? It’s very easy to sync your progress between Facebook, mobile and King.com, which means that if you want to switch platforms, you can easily do so without starting the game again. To sync your progress with King.com, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select "Account".
  3. You will be prompted to confirm your password.
  4. Select the "Account and Progressive Sync" option, and then navigate to your Facebook account.
  5. Upon completion, your progress will be updated across all King games on King.com.

Why can’t I see the latest levels on one of my devices? If you are at the very last level in the game, please note that this level may not be available on other platforms. This is important to remember if you are playing on different platforms such as Android, iOS or PC. Don’t worry, when the newest levels are available for all platforms, you’ll see them in your game.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Shopping Questions

What are gold bars used for? Gold bars are the currency used in the game. Need just one extra turn to finally pass this difficult level? Run out of lives but want to keep playing and your friends haven’t sent you lives yet? Want to try one of the cool new boosters? So, gold bars will help you in all these situations and even more. You can often win free gold bars through many of the challenges, promotions, and special events that take place in the game. You can also purchase gold bars with real money from the in-game shop.

Is it possible to complete the game without buying anything? Yes! In fact, this is not only possible, but also very common. Most people who completed all the levels in the game didn’t buy anything at all. The developers are constantly rewarding players with free boosters and in-game prizes, so if you get stuck on a particularly difficult level, you can try using a booster or two to help you get back on the adventure.

How to make a purchase? Buying purple crystals in the game is easy. For example, you will have the opportunity to visit the vending machine in Crash and Coco’s base. You can also buy them when you fail a level or view costumes in the shop.

I have boosters and/or lives on one device, but I can’t see them on another device. Why is this happening? Your Facebook or King profile stores and syncs your progress along with the gold bars you have in the game, so your gold bar information will always be up to date and you won’t have to replay any level again. Whenever you gain lives from your friends or win and buy boosters in any of King’s games, they are delivered directly to the memory of the device you are playing on and are not synced to your player profile.

This is because your progress level and gold bars need to be constantly updated and synced as you play, so it requires a stable internet connection. However, keeping boosters on your device means you can play offline. This means that if you win a booster it will only be delivered once to the device you are currently playing on. It will not be visible on multiple devices associated with the same player profile.

You can take advantage of collecting separate amounts of boosters if you use more than one device to play.

Can I transfer Gold Bars between games? Unfortunately, you cannot transfer gold bars from one game to another. For example, if you are playing Candy Crush Saga, you cannot use gold bars that you purchased or received in Farm Heroes Saga.

How do I restrict in-app purchases on my Android device? Purchases are made using the payment information you save, the details of which are stored in your Google Play Store account. If you want to avoid making accidental purchases on your Android device, simply open the Google Play Store app and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Menu" button in the upper left corner of the Google Play Store search bar.
  2. Select "Settings".
  3. Scroll down to the User Controls section and select Require a password for purchases.
  4. Select the first option: "For all Google Play purchases on this device."
  5. Your Google Play password will now be required to make any purchases.
  6. Automatic in-app purchases are now disabled and a password will be required to make purchases.

Crash Bandicoot On the Run: Lives and Messages

How many lives will I get in the game? You start any game you play with a full set of five lives. Every time you fail or complete a level you lose a life, but over time they regenerate so you can get back to having fun. If you want to jump right back into the game and prefer not to wait, you can ask your Facebook or King connected friends for extra lives, or buy lives in the shop with gold bars from your bank.

What should I do if I am not receiving messages from friends or other players? If you are not receiving messages from friends or other players, then you can try the following steps:

How do infinite lives work? Infinite lives can sometimes be bought, and sometimes they are also offered as a prize. It’s a great way to play longer without spending life. Infinite lives are controlled by a timer, so when they are won or bought, the clock starts ticking until the timer reaches 00:00 and your game returns to the normal way of using lives.

It’s important to know that lives continue to expire when you’re not playing, so if you’re playing to get them before bed or before a game break, keep in mind that they will continue to expire while you’re away. Depending on how you win or buy your lives, you will also have the option to "stack" them - so if you make a purchase containing infinite lives and you just won other lives, the timer should increase to include both.

The game says that getting the next life, I will need to wait hundreds of minutes. Why is this happening? If you have recently changed the time settings on your device (for example, the change occurred as a result of crossing time zones while traveling), this may affect the timer for obtaining the next life. To fix this, just follow these steps:

  1. Start the game and see how long you have to wait for the next life.
  2. Now set your device’s clock to the specified time.
  3. Then return to the map screen in-game for a moment so that your changes are registered.
  4. After that, open the time settings menu of your device and set the correct time and date again.
  5. Finally, turn off the device for 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Following the instructions above should solve the problem!
