A Tale for Anna: General Tips
What is this game? The young sorceress Anna lived in a secluded house on the edge of the forest and did not even know who her real parents were and how it happened that her cat was raising her. However, at one point, her magic awakened. It turned out that she is the last sorceress of the kingdom, and a real hunt is open for her magical powers.
Now the girl needs to save her teacher and friend - a talking cat named Tail. To do this, she sets off on the road, simultaneously mastering her magical abilities and helping new friends. In the magical story "A Tale for Anna" you will help the girl Anna, raised by a cat, uncover the secret of her birth and protect the fairy kingdom of Dreams from the intrigues of evil forces.
Anna’s tips. Anna is a very consistent girl. She will not pick up items until she is convinced that she really needs them. If you are not sure what next step to take, you can click on Anna. She will definitely tell you.
If you forgot where you want to apply the item, then you need to hover over its image in the inventory, and Anna will remind you. Pay attention to the bubble that appears next to her.
Glowing blue petals. If you need help on your adventure, collect glowing blue petals. They are found in every location. Collect 5 pieces, and then click on the bag to activate a magic hint.
How to overcome obstacles? Sometimes you will encounter obstacles that cannot be overcome without a little bit of magic. Such places are marked with a special symbol in the form of a spiral. To overcome them, you will have to find three sets of different items at once. And then mess around a little more.
How to create a spell? To help Anna create a spell, draw a line from the beginning to the end of the magic symbol by holding down the left mouse button and not going beyond its borders.
Mini games. Click on the button with the rounded arrow (see screenshot) to start the mini-game. The mini-game can be skipped when the timer fills up.
Puzzles. Puzzle pieces are scattered throughout the kingdom. Remember, you will only get the opportunity to collect them when you find a magic book. After collecting the required amount, you will unlock one of the spreads of the book dedicated to the stories of the characters. Complete the puzzle on the left page by dragging and rotating the pieces to reveal the hidden text.
Fairy tale for Anna: How to look for items?
When should you look for items? When Anna encounters an obstacle that requires a specific item to overcome, an image of that item will appear in the inventory panel. Now you can start looking for it. Often you will need to find not one, but several items of the same type. The screenshot above shows a situation in which you need to collect some items. Let’s take a closer look at the information from the screenshot:
- The first number will tell you how many of these items have already been collected.
- The second is how many of these items you need to find. Until you collect the entire set, you will not be able to use the item.
We have collected items. What’s next? When the entire set of the same type of items is collected, the color of the number indicating the amount will change to green. Now this item can be applied by clicking on its image in the inventory panel, and then on the place from which the search for this item began.
Caches. Occasionally, items will be hidden in various caches. You can open the cache by simply clicking on it. Watch both!
Tale for Anna: What do the cursors mean?
This is the cursor you will see the most. It is used to search for items and explore locations.
A more rounded cursor means you’ve hovered over an area that can be viewed closer by clicking on it.
The hand cursor is used to interact with objects: turn a key, move a blanket, etc.
The cursor in the form of an arrow appears when you hover over the transition area to an adjacent location.
A dialog bubble cursor appears when you hover over a character that you can talk to.
A puzzle cursor appears when hovering over a mini-game.
