Machinarium. A small robot named Josef was mistakenly dumped in a landfill like a broken piece of machinery. Having recovered, he returns to the Machinarium and learns that his hometown is in danger because of the Black Hat gang. The bandits have captured the consciousness of the city mayor, they intend to blow up the citadel, and they are also holding Josef’s girlfriend, Berta, prisoner. Now our brave hero will have to expose this insidious gang alone and save his betrothed. This article describes a complete and detailed walkthrough of the game with pictures. Machinarium: General advice

The plot and purpose of the game. In this game you will find yourself in the city of robots - Machinarium. You will play for the robot Josef, on whose metal head a lot of trouble has fallen. First, he is mistakenly sent to a landfill and separated from his beloved girlfriend. When Josef manages to return, he learns that the power in the city has actually passed into the hands of a criminal gang. Moreover, his girlfriend was kidnapped and held hostage.

Control Josef to solve the tasks that appear on his way and collect the necessary items for inventory. During the game, you will need to help the inhabitants of the Machinarium, solve puzzles and play mini-games. Your main goal is to thwart the evil plans of the criminals and save Josef’s girlfriend.

Inventory management. To take an item into your inventory, you need to bring Josef close to him and click on the item itself. To use an item from the inventory, you need to click on it in the top drawer of the inventory and bring it to Josef. Be careful: Josef can only interact with objects that are within his reach at all times.

Controlling the hero’s body. Josef can change his height. Thus, he can reach for objects that are high, or conversely shrink to crawl into narrow and cramped places. To control the body of the robot, move the cursor over it. Pull to make Josef tall, or squeeze to make him small.

Hints. Use the hint if you have difficulty in the game. To do this, click the button with a light bulb in the upper right corner of the screen. So you will see a thought cloud with Josef, where the desired solution will be shown. You can even use the schematic guide for the most difficult parts of the game (the button with the book), but before that you will have to play a mini-game with a key and spiders. Each reference to this book is a new mini-game.

Machinarium: Part 1

  1. Click on the tub twice (A). You will find a torso.
  2. Click twice on the torso. It will turn over, fall down.
  3. Click on the head (B). You will attach the head to the body.
  4. Click on the mechanical rat (C). She will ask for a doll.
  5. Stretch the body up and take the doll (D).
  6. Give the doll to the rat. You will receive the second leg.

Machinarium: Part 2

  1. Joseph is in jail. Take the toilet paper (Z) and the wet grass (A).
  2. Stretch Josef’s body and dry the grass on the lamp (B). You will receive DRY HERB.
  3. In inventory, combine toilet paper and dry herb. You will receive a cigarette.
  4. Give the cigarette to the cellmate (C). He lends Josef his hand.

  1. Approach the passage on the left (D) and squeeze Josef. Use the received hand on your turn to frighten the captives.
  2. Next, use your hand on the top move (E) to find the crate.
  3. Look at the drawer three times and take the broom (F).

  2. Use the key on the hatch (H).
  3. Jump down, squeeze Josef and go right. When you reach the next hatch (I), use the key again.

Machinarium: Part 3

  1. Walk around the crates (Q) and push them to the left two times.
  2. Go to the panel (R).

  4. Click on the lever on the left so that the magnet takes the top drawer. Click on the lever again to make the magnet lift it up.

The easiest way is to make an image from the puzzles that you have, and only then add the last puzzle from the inventory.

  5. In inventory, combine the speaker and the receiver. Get a horn receiver.

Machinarium: Part 4

  1. Take WIRE (H).
  2. Go and open the locker (I) and take out the book.
  3. Turn the pages until you get the first wrench.

  5. Go back to the pipes and zoom in on them.

  4. When the robot becomes angry, it will lose its engine, leaving a cavity in its place.
  5. Come into the cavity.
